As you make your way into this Myrtle Beach vacation rental, you will walk directly into the spacious living, dining, and kitchen area. Come relax in the comfortable living area! Take in the Myrtle Beach fresh air on your private balcony overlooking the world-famous River Oaks Golf Course.

Get that long-awaited restful sleep in one of the two cozy bedrooms. In the master bedroom, you will discover a king-size bed with an ample amount of room for your vacation belongings. Attached is the master bathroom - equipped with a large vanity space and a private bath/shower area. In the second bedroom, there are two twin-size beds. The second bathroom has a bath/shower combo. There is a washer/dryer available in the unit.

My trip.

Outdated and poor communication

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We booked this site through Marriott Homes and it was a nightmare. There is no communication between Palmetto and Marriott. I wanted to add my husband to our reservation as he was coming there for a baseball tournament with my son. I had to send a picture of my ID, a picture of my credit card, a picture of his ID and there was no secure way to do this. I was asked to send it via email. I advised this has already been paid for, and all I wanted to do was add him, and they stated they had no information from Marriott on my payment information. I was then told I do not need to send the credit card information, then when I checked again, the rep Shawna had no recolection of our email exchanges from March. I had to resend all the emails her and I had to remind her of what she told me. I was not confident that this would go smoothly upon arrival. We were then asked what time we would arrive. I stated between 3-4 pm. That is irrelevant since the properties no matter what time you arrive are not ready until 3-5pm. Do not come early as you will sit in your car and wait for a text. The day of, I got a text again asking me to send my credit card information to them. I have already done this and there was no way to contact the office as they were closed on Saturday. It caused a lot of panic and worry that we were set for our reservation. When my husband arrived, the staff that he encountered were not friendly, nor helpful. The property itself is run down. When arrived, the grass was shin high, there were no elevators to assist in getting luggage or food or anything up, other than the stairs. The beds were rock hard. The larger bedroom were two singles pushed together to make one larger bed. It was very uncomfortable. We will not be coming back to this facility again. If you are booking through Mariott, make sure you know that there is NO customer service to actually speak to, only via email, which is not a Palmetto issue, but poor design on Marriott's side.

River Oaks Condo Unit 11-I

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Close to family we were visiting which was the main reason for choosing this unit. Disappointed in the overall condition of the property (broken screen window and trash left outside the front door), dirty stairwells and screen porch. Check-in was a nightmare - unit not ready when promised (between 3-5PM). Told when we arrived at 3:30PM that we needed to wait for a call or text that the unit was ready. Not told this in advance.

The upkeep of the property is very poor.

Probably the worst experience I’ve had with lodging. The property was dirty with filthy bedding. Thick dust on the ceiling fans. Crumbs all over the floor. Once I took the time to clean and bleach everything, it became enjoyable.
