Very well designed for family living, this comfortable, stylishly appointed home enjoys a lovely position in Bonaire, one of the most prestigious and sought-after neighbourhoods of Alcudia, famous for its spectacular panoramas of the island's Northern coastline.
You enter into a bright and welcoming, open plan living space with wall-to-wall contemporary furnishings and a colourful avant-garde kitchen to one side. Large glass doors ensure this area always stays light and airy while at the same time providing convenient access directly onto a long shaded terrace the overlooks the pool. Two double and one twin bedroom are complimented by two well fitted bathrooms (one en suite) plus there is a further single bedroom - equally as comfortable but a little more simply styled than the others - which would be ideal for a younger family member. A favourite little extra to this appealing home can be found tucked away on the first floor, where an enclosed roof terrace reveals views across the rooftops to the sparkling bay beyond.
Outside, the long covered terrace is ideal for outdoor dining or simply relaxing in the shade with a book and cooling drink. Just below the terrace, the lovely private pool takes centre of attention and parents of younger children will be interested to note that there is a gate at the top of the steps that lead down from here to the pool area which can be closed to help prevent younger children having direct access. A well-established border of trees, ferns and local shrubs surrounds the pool and garden adding a lovely splash of colour whilst enhancing the privacy factor.
Nearby, the picturesque marina of Bonaire is a must for a leisurely stroll along the quayside to the tune of sails gently clinking against their masts. A couple of trendy waterfront restaurants overlooking the Bay of Pollença are sure to entice, as is the adjacent shoreline that makes for a great snorkelling spot during the day. To complete the scene, a small local store will more than likely stock that one item you forgot to grab whilst at the supermarket!
Firm favourites with the locals for their views across the bay and relaxed holiday vibe, Platja de San Pere and Platja de sa font de San Joan are just around the headland. These sleepy, bays of natural sand gradually come to life as summer gets going, especially once the ‘Chiringito’ beach bar decides to fling open its wooden shutters and rustle up some tasty tapas as the relaxing strains of Balearic, 'Chill Out' music float gently in the air! These sandy coves tend to sit quietly under the tourist radar and are undoubtedly one of Alcudia's better kept secrets.
The medieval ramparts of Alcudia old town are also nearby, for an excellent selection of eateries nestled between shady plazas, boutique and craft stores interwoven amongst a labyrinth of narrow cobbled lanes and striking architecture - a perfect setting for the lively local market that congregates on a weekly basis. From here the 6km, tree-lined stretch of sandy shoreline at Playa de Muro beckons, the chic environs of Port Alcudia offer elegant dining and cocktail bars perfect for watching the comings and goings of sailboats, sleek yachts and even sleeker motorboats, plus one of Mallorca's best waterparks is also easily accessible for a memorable day of watery fun.
Parents will be interested to note that a gate at the top of the steps that lead down from the shaded terrace to the pool area can be closed to help prevent younger children having direct access to the swimming pool. Air conditioning usage is on a timer (12 hours per day). Property Licence No: ETV/10968
