If you fancy spoiling yourselves, then this is a great treat. Head Chef Oli Martin is well known and hugely respected.
The beautiful and historic market town of Kirkby Lonsdale is 2.5-miles away and full of small independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. The town benefits from a Booths supermarket and a traditional market every Thursday selling local produce! On the first week of September, the town hosts a Victorian fair with a friendly street vibe.
You can walk to Kirkby Lonsdale from the cottage or park (for free) at Devil's bridge (just before the turning to Kirkby Lonsdale and a beautiful picnic spot!). There is a lovely dog-friendly walk along the River Lune to the "Radical Steps", stone steps that take you up into St Mary's churchyard. From here you can see ‘Ruskin's view' and walk through the churchyard to the town centre - it's lovely to walk!
To the East is Ingleton. If you love adventure and the great outdoors, you will love the charming village of Ingleton. The Ingleton waterfall trail has some of Englands most stunning scenery with a mix of waterfalls, rocks, woodland and farmland. There are some great pubs in Ingleton, and it's only 5 miles from one of the Yorkshire three peaks!
All in all, this is a fantastic holiday cottage in a great location! Perfect for a family holiday.
