Le Linda’s Holiday Apartment est situé au cœur du centre-ville d’Inverness. Il constitue un pied-à-terre idéal pour explorer Inverness et les Highlands écossais.

This place should not be on VRBO

The location was excellent and the space was a good size and clean. But otherwise this is not a place I would recommend on VRBO. The communication with the owner was awful. He did not communicate with me until the day before we arrived, and I had reached out earlier to get the details with no luck. This was stressful, luckily had looked at others reviews and realized this was how he operated. The directions to get into the place were poorly described. It is a very odd location in a building with several businesses. Luckily when we couldn't figured out how to get in I called the owner George and he responded immediately and sent someone over to help us. Then the shower door feel off and the shower head was not properly attached and so taking showers was challenging . When I tried to contact George about this issue he never responded. Then there was no sheets for the couch bed we used though he said there would be when I told them we would need them. And there were no extra sheets or towels in the place. This was not set up like a VRBO. Very few kitchen items to use. And there were food items in the refrigerator and small alcohol bottles to buy. It was set up more like a hotel suite. Luckily we only stayed one night (not a vrbo thing to do I know and why we ended up here). It was quite noisy in the apartment from the bars right outside on a Friday night as well. I would not recommend as a vrbo stay.

Terrible Communication with Property Manager

This review is only a rating on property manager and the communication, which was awful. We never stayed at this property. The first communication I received was from TravelNest, saying the property was booked, and "to confirm your arrival details and arrange access to the property, please get in touch and say ‘Hi’ to the owner of this property before your stay." I did attempt to get in touch with him, MULTIPLE times. Nothing from George, the property manager. I reached out to TravelNest a few times to see if they could help encourage George to contact to me. They couldn't get in touch with him either. I finally asked for a refund, which TravelNest said George would have to approve. Several days later... still nothing. TravelNest was of minimal help in my opinion, so I can't say I am overly impressed with them either. Given the track record for George's responses, and the fact that we were leaving for a 2 week trip abroad in 3 days, I booked another property. Several days into our trip, I started hearing from George. I explained my attempts to contact him & the lack of communication, to which he replied that my cancellation was too late. He did manage to reach out to me via email, text, and WhatsApp with check-in instructions. I repeated I would like a refund. Silence, except for the part where he told me he didn't get emails on his mobile device. I don't see why I should pay the consequences (ie: rent for 2 nights) for his inability to have working email on his phone. I am still trying to get a refund through Vrbo. I promise I am not the typical "Karen," and I swear this is the only manager I asked for/talked to during our entire vacation. My advice: save yourself some stress & pick a different property.

Great location

The property location was in a great central location in Inverness. It is a bit loud at night and the businesses on the street gets going early, but that has to do with the location. There were lots of great restaurants, bars, stores and shops within easy walking distance. The property itself was ok. The appliances were dated, and the owner had the refrigerator stocked with items he would sell you via card swipe. While I suppose it would be convenient for some guests, for us it meant we needed create space in the small refrigerator for our own items. I don’t like it when hotels do it, and it felt kind of tacky for a VRbO. Also, the living room furniture was dated and not very comfortable. There were four people staying there which we had specified in our reservation, but only towels for two when we showed up, but additional towels were brought over. My final point of feedback is that the property was double booked which I put on the property owner. A gentleman showed up the next day, and he had also booked the property for his family but realized that we were there and we was respectful to us. He was clearly frustrated with the property owner which I understood, because he had received the exact email and instructions that we had regarding how to access the property. If I had been him, I would have been frustrated, as well. I might stay here again for the location, but I would also see what other options might be available.

Bait and switch

After reaching out to the property manager for check-in details, we were informed the day before our stay that our booked apartment was undergoing maintenance and that we would need to stay in another location. The other location was okay, but not anywhere as nice as what we booked and no partial refund was offered. The new place did not have a room for our group to gather, the temperature was problematic, and the bed cleanliness was questionable. When we called to inquire about parking as we arrived, we were informed that the previously provided keybox code was changed- how would we have known if we hadn't called or had a SIM? We were uncomfortable with our stay and the minimal communication (only occurred due to our prompting) made for a poor experience.
