Located in a peaceful neighborhood in Long Beach, this cozy cottage is filled to the brim with personal touches. Throw some tunes on the record player, pour an espresso and take in the many worldly and tropical touches in a serene marine-blue theme throughout this 1920s historical craftsman.
Other standouts include stylized kitchen shelves and a succulent garden with a white picket fence. The back patio features an outdoor sofa and lights, plants and an electric barbecue — perfect for a glass of wine in the evening.
Entire house will be yours, including a small back patio with patio lights & a daybed. Two beach cruisers are for use during your stay. The property includes a ton of beautiful plants and succulents maintained by a gardener. The home is mostly decorated with Anthropologie, vintage and handmade decor in a tropical/world/travel vibe. Inside the house has been filled with everything you need to have the best, most comfortable and safe stay. This is not just a “vacation home” — I’m sharing my house with you. I live in Belize for most of the year, so the home will be managed full-time by my cohost, Greta, who is available to answer your questions or fix your problems at any time.
The Eastside location is a historic neighborhood, where you will find many well-kept Craftsman homes that date from about 100 years ago. Stroll to nearby eateries, such as the infamous Potholder Cafe or The Library coffee House. You may also choose to jump on the bicycles provided and ride just 8 blocks to the beach to explore along the bike path that stretches from end to end across the city. Be sure to also keep your eyes and ears open for the flocks of wild parrots known to inhabit the area!
The house doesn’t have a parking spot, but there is always available parking right in front of the house or streets nearby. Long Beach is flat and very bike-friendly with tons of bike racks, and two beach cruisers are included in your stay. Most everything you need is within walking distance (coffee, restaurants, groceries, convenience store, etc.) Lyft & Uber are also an option.
The house is not suitable for large groups, small children or parties. There are many breakables and light-colored decor.

1. Please be advised that we ask all guests to complete our secure, online guest verification portal after your reservation is created. Similar to hotel requirements, we ask that guests provide a copy of their government Issued ID and matching selfie. This form must be completed entirely, and you must pass the guest screening software in order to stay at the property. You will be given the option to either purchase a damage waiver at a non-refundable rate of $35 per stay, or provide a fully-refundable $500 security deposit. Please note that there is a non-refundable processing fee of $2 with the security deposit option. These measures are used to prevent fraudulent reservations, for identity verification and for the safety of all guests and homes. We take data security very seriously. All information entered into this form is encrypted and transmitted securely over SSL.
2. Please remove shoes inside the home.
3. Absolutely no smoking inside or outside the home. No smoking anywhere on the property. Smoking includes tobacco, cigars, e-cigarettes, marijuana & all other flammable items. Smoke damage is considered a serious violation of the reservation terms & will result in a canceled reservation and fines from $1,500 - $3,000 at host’s discretion.
4. Absolutely no parties, gatherings or events. No more than 4 people are allowed at any time without consent of the host. Our home is located in a residential neighborhood and out of respect for our neighbors, we strictly enforce this policy. Violations to this rule include having more people in the home than are listed on the reservation and/or any noise violation between 9pm - 8am. Violation of the reservation terms will result in a cancelled reservation, calls into local law enforcement & fines from $3,000 - $5,500 at host’s discretion.
5. Human guests only - Please respect our no animal policy, we love all animals but are not able to host them. Thank you for your cooperation.
6. Main reservation holder must be at least 25 years old.
7. Please ensure the number of total guests on the reservation is accurate - we will prepare the home for that number. If you need to add another guest - just message us. Exterior camera is monitored to ensure accurate guest counts. We charge $100 per person, per booked night for any additional guest that is not included on the reservation.
8. We have a 5-star cleaning guarantee. The home has been thoroughly cleaned & stocked in preparation for your arrival. Within 12 hours of checking-in let us know if anything needs attention & we will take care of it by sending the cleaners back to remedy the situation - no charge. If we don't hear from you we thank you in advance for helping us keep our Superhost status by selecting a 5-star review!
9. If you have a question, issue or concern during your stay please bring it up to us in real time thru the Airbnb messages or if it is urgent please call. Nothing hurts our hosting heart more than reading in a review (OUCH!) or a post check-out message about something that we could have / would have resolved for you! We love hosting & want you to feel well taken care of from beginning to end. To help make the most of your time with us - please review the house packet with neighborhood & city guides :)
10. Please make sure to return any keys. If the necessary keys etc. are not returned we have to charge you the cost of replacing. We will forward you the locksmith's invoice - please pay in full within 24 hours.
11. Excess trash generated over & above what fits in the designated bins carries an additional $100 charge - this is what it costs us to have someone haul off the trash. Black is for trash, purple is for recycling.
12. Late check-out/ Early check-in. Nearly everyone asks us about this and we definitely understand and try to accommodate the best we can. Please be aware we are often booked with same day reservations, in which case we need to honor the posted times. If the calendar allows, we are flexible - as long as it is arranged & paid for in advance. Late check-outs not arranged will result in a resolution center claim in the amount charged by our cleaners for waiting or the refund of the upcoming guest who was not able to check-in at the agreed upon time. Please understand that unlike a hotel we only have this one home & when the morning guest checks out late it means the home isn't ready for the afternoon guest. We want to make sure all of our guests get the most out of their time with us!
13. For reservations longer than 14 days, one mid-stay cleaning is required for every two weeks of your reservation. We will send you a separate request for payment of the additional cleaning fee(s) after your reservation has been made. This will be invoiced at the same rate as the cleaning fee associated with your reservation. If you prefer a specific date or time, we will do our best to accommodate you based around our cleaning schedule.
14. If you require emergency assistance please feel free to call if you do not receive a speedy response on the messaging system. There are times when the messaging system may be slightly delayed, during upgrades etc. IN CASE OF A FIRE OR MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL 911.
15. Please note that the closet in the master bedroom is an owner's closet and is not accessible to guests.
16. Sometimes unexpected events can interrupt travel plans. We strongly recommend purchasing CFAR travel insurance.
