Enjoy the timeless East End Historic District with a shark-themed twist in our spacious studio. The space
Starting from the street, you’ll see the beautiful historic blue and yellow building I call home: The Trident. We have sidewalks leading you around the side of the home along with security lighting to illuminate your path at night. After climbing a short staircase, you’ll arrive at the patio and entrance to the shark studio. Take a load off on the comfy patio chairs or head inside to be greeted by a refreshing blast of the 20th century’s greatest gift: air conditioning.
Upon entering the Shark Studio, you’ll find yourself in the spacious living/bedroom. You’ll first notice the gorgeous teal and gold color pattern on the neatly folded bedding. At the foot of the bed, you’ll find a matching bedroom bench for your use and abuse—preferably without the abuse. If you take a peak under the bed, you’ll notice that we pay our monster exterminator handsomely. You’ll also find two large white storage bins for your belongings.
Looking to your left you’ll see a pristine coffee table and futon. Some believe that this studio only fits two people. But our futon has some choice words for them. The swivel-mounted smart TV allows you to watch your favorite streaming service from the bed or the couch. We provide free access to our guest Disney Plus, Hulu, and ESPN accounts during your stay! If something compels you to turn the TV off, we have a deck of cards on the coffee table you’re welcome to deal. And before you ask, yes they’re shark-themed.
Fancy a snack? Head to the next room to experience the largest kitchen cabinet to apartment square footage ratio in Galveston, TX. The cabinets were expertly painted a deep blue by two amateur painters: my wife and me. Upon entry, you may notice a subtle aroma of baked goods. An hour or so before your stay, we baked you fresh muffins, which you can find on the counter, individually wrapped and with an allergen warning label. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, and utensils. Feel free to use the new stainless steel oven or dishwasher during your stay. We’ve also stocked the kitchen with a Keurig coffee machine, various flavors of coffee pods, and tea supplies for your crippling caffeine addiction. It’s okay, I’m not judging. Inside of the fridge you’ll find a water filter full of refreshingly cool water. Tiptoe by the window to see a clean kitchen table with seating for three. I knew that futon was on to something.
The final room in the Shark Studio is the bathroom. We were tired of forgetting toiletries when travelling, so we made sure to stock the bathroom vanity with as many amenities as we could think of: feminine care products, individually wrapped toothbrushes and toothpaste, mouthwash, face wash, q-tips, and more. Our shower has two heads providing a rainfall effect while allowing you to remove the other head for spot cleaning. Let’s not forget the porcelain throne. When you sit down, you’ll notice real bonsai tree on a rustic stool in front of you. Just above that is a massive teal and gold painting to tie the place together. Welcome to the Shark Studio.
