Summary:
Enjoy the luxury of Melrose Place in this newly designed 2 BR unit. 1 of 4 well-appointed, private units on a sprawling property. Beautifully decorated with plenty of work space, comfy beds, bar cabinet & coffee bar. Fully stocked kitchen. Freeway close & less than 15 minutes to Legoland Carlsbad. Shared outdoor bar w/TV, a kids corner w/outdoor kitchen, games, and ping pong. Business center with desk and free printer access. Fabulous outdoor area w/ TVs and fire pits to enjoy the sunsets.

The Space:
The property was designed for your ultimate comfort and enjoyment. Each room offers comfy beds and linens, as well as multiple pillow choices. One bedroom has a full-bed and a couch that turns into a bunk bed and multi-functional coffee table. The primary bedroom has a single queen bed. The entire space has easy access to USB and plugs for remote working or computers. The decor and furnishing are all new! The kitchen is fully-stocked and has all of the comforts of home. Melrose Place is your home away from home! Everything about the unit was designed to maximize space and give you options to make your guests comfortable, too. Even the coffee table turns into a work space or a dining table to enjoy a meal while streaming your favorite show on the new Smart TV.

For business needs, there is a dedicated work station and an on-site printer. The kitchen is fully-stocked with spices and condiments. This unit has a semi-private backyard patio table and a front seating area with fire pit and TV in the front for your exclusive use. The bar area with outdoor TV and table are perfect if your staying with other guests or enjoy meeting new people and would like to watch a game. It’s also perfect if you want to sit and watch the kids play in the kids corner right next to the community seating area and ping pong table, and your unit has access to a private BBQ in the back patio area outside your kitchen.

An on-site laundry room has two new spacious washers and dryers. Lots of extra games and books for your use in the laundry area including beach chairs and beach towels. Convenient location just minutes to the beach and freeway close.

Guest Access:
The property has three other private units that share some outdoor common space together, yet each unit also has it's own semi-private outdoor area of their own. You also have access to the laundry room and business center where you’ll find additional outdoor games, indoor games and toys as well as books. This area also has extra beach chairs and beach towels as well as larger cooking appliances for your use. You will be given access via 4-digit keypad code to your own private unit and keypad code access to the shared laundry room, upon request.

The Neighborhood:
Great area and close to the freeway, shopping and public transportation. You can jump on the freeway and be at the beach in less than 10 minutes! Be at Disneyland in less than an hour or head over to Legoland in less than 15 minutes. Centrally located to all the reasons one would travel to southern CA. Don’t forget Vista is the climatic wonderland of the USA with average temperatures in the low to mid 70’s year round. Vista is also the Brewery capital of the USA per capita!! Vista is also one of the best places to raise a family in the USA. You will appreciate the location the people and the weather. It’s the best in the west!

Getting Around:
There is plenty of on-site free parking. Your close to public transit and a popular location for Uber or Grub Hub or Instacart your groceries. My guide book has great ideas on local Restaurants and grocery stores that are near by. Turo is a great app for easy no-hassle car rentals where you can have a car delivered to you or take an Uber and pick it up. Everything is done on an app.

Other Things to Note:
Be sure to look at the other 3 units on the property. We have a duplex with 2 two-bedrooms, a three-bedroom house and a studio that sleeps 4. Message us for the links to the other units if you don’t see them. Melrose Place is the perfect way to travel with friends and family together and have each family stay in their own unit.

You are on a busy street. Although the house is set high from the road, you need to be aware that there may be some traffic noise at the front of the property. You will also need to be watchful of pets and kids, as the street traffic is relatively high-speed.

Small and cluttered
First off the unit didn't have a number on it to let you know which door to use. There are many doors! Secondly the twin bunk beds are not easy to use nor are they comfortable. There were so many pillows on the beds that it took up all the closet room to store them. There is so much clutter on the walls and floors that you can barely walk around. They ask you to wash the dishes and there is no dish soap to use so we had to use hand soap to clean the dishes. The room with a full size bed and bunk bed has a table in it and it made it hard to use the bunk bed with the table in there. The night lights in the room with a queen bed were dusty and took up almost all of the nightstand. The shower didn't drain and the handle fell off when you moved it. Also our stay was for 3 nights and on the third day we got a call saying they were trying to clean because the next guest was coming. But we were staying another night. So when we showed up that night we were locked out because they had changed the code for the door. We called the numbers given and no one answered. Frustrating after a long day. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Property not as described
We had several issues. Debbie was responsive at first and then I did not get a response for 2 days. She stated she would call after her meeting. I never received a call. The property description stated there was a dining area in the back, off the kitchen. There was no patio furniture in back of our unit. Debbie responded that a previous guest moved the table & chairs to another unit. She stated we could use the furniture where it was or move it back. We should not be expected to do this. She stated, it would be moved the next day. It was not moved during our stay. I messaged Debbie about the broken shower head and the tub draining slow. There was water backing up in the tub. I did not receive a response. The description stated there was a grill at our unit. I sent a message asking where the grill was. Debbie messaged and stated the grill was moved due to the rain and was elsewhere on the property. We found the grill but there was no propane. We were told we could find the propane just pass the outside bar. There were none. I sent another message letting Debbie know that the tanks were not there. I did not receive a response. We rented this unit and made plans based on the property description. We had expectations that the property would be as described. These expectations were not met. Not one issue that I messaged Debbie about was rectified. Pros: Inside of the unit was very clean. Good location. Cons: Patio not as described. Shower head broken. Tub drained slow.

I love hospitality and started a non profit in 1999 that promotes International hospitality and friendship partnering with highschool and college students in France. I am also a speaker and a professional life coach to young woman. I am known as the Legacy Land Pro and love to show others how to leave a legacy of both income and equity through the ownership of Real Estate to become financially independent and to leave an inheritance for my grandchildren. I homeschooled my kids for 8 years and before it was popular and have a very close relationship with all three of my kids and grandkids. I love to travel, to eat out and spend time with family and good friends. I am a lover of life and enjoy meeting new people and discovering different cultures especially the food and more importantly the people.
