The Beach House is a four bedroom, custom built home with a horizon ocean view! This great family beach house was designed with you in mind with two living areas, dining room, breakfast nook, “sleeping nook” perfect for that afternoon nap or catching up on your reading, covered decks, sundeck, and a screened porch perfect for relaxing in the morning with a cup of coffee. The Friday check-in day makes getting to the Outer Banks and getting your vacation started a breeze.
Level 1:

3 bedrooms (1 with King, CATV and DVD player, private bath with tub and shower; 1 with Queen, CATV and DVD player; 1 with Twins, TV and DVD player with private access to hall bath); full hall bath (with tub and shower) and the most adorable “Sleeping Nook” you have ever seen tucked under the main staircase.
Level 2:

Bright and open living/dining area with horizon ocean view and cathedral/beamed ceilings, CATV, Brazilian Cherry flooring, built-in buffet, gas fired “wood stove” for warmth and ambiance. Luxurious kitchen with stainless steel appliances, gas range/oven, granite counters, cherry cabinets, pantry and a 2nd bar sink. The kitchen opens up to a den with large screen CATV with DVD player, cathedral ceilings, electric fireplace and breakfast nook, half bath. Bedroom (with King, CATV, DVD player, his and her full baths - 1 with whirlpool tub, 1 with standup shower). Covered decks, sundeck and large furnished screened porch with ceiling fan.

The Beach House is centrally located on the Outer Banks, in Southern Shores. It's just a quick ride to Duck where you can walk the soundside boardwalk and visit many quaint village shops and eateries. For the more adventurous the Currituck lighthouse in Corolla is open for climbing daily from late March through November. Or head south to visit the Wright Brothers' Memorial in Kill Devil Hills, the site of the first powered flight, or Jockey's Ridge State Park in Nags Head, the largest sand dune on the east coast. The house and pool were nice

For such extensive rules and a contract, the house wasn't that clean when we arrived. The dishwasher was full of dishes and the trash hadn't been taken out from the previous guests. The private pool was nice though maintenance came to clean it while we were there. The check in process was easy via self check-in, the location was very nice, easy access to the beach, and the rooms and beds were as expected.

Short Weekend Stay

The house fit our overall needs. The kids and adults enjoyed the pool. The house was within walking distance to the beach which was nice. The kitchen could have been stocked a little better but overall was a great place.

Southern Shores Realty offers over 350 Outer Banks vacation rentals from Corolla to South Nags Head. We've been an Outer Banks tradition since 1947, providing families just like yours with memories that last a lifetime.

Responsible Groups Welcome: The use of the Premises is restricted to You and Your Family. A "family" as used herein means parents, grandparents, children, spouses of children, and extended family members vacationing at the premises. Use of the Premises by Fraternities, Sororities, or Unrelated Groups Under 24 Years of Age is Prohibited. Occupancy is restricted to the number of Occupants for the Premises set forth in the property description. Southern Shores Realty operates under the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act and will commence expedited eviction under this law if a home is rented under false pretense.

Partial Week Reservations: (If Allowed at Property) Partial Week Reservations (3-night minimum) can be made 14 days prior to the 3 nights to be reserved from June - September. Off-Season (October - May) non-holiday partial weeks may be booked any time. Rate reductions and discounts do not apply to Partial Week Reservations.

Taxes: North Carolina sales tax and County occupancy tax are added to your total rent and will be due when the balance of your rent is paid. The current state sales tax is 6.75%. The current Dare & Currituck county occupancy tax rate is 6%. Tax rates are subject to change.

Optional Travel Insurance: Finally, an insurance company that protects your vacation investment. Take the worry out of planning ahead. Your vacation is a significant investment. Just as you protect your home or car, you should also protect your travel investment. Unforeseen circumstances, illness, and injuries do occur. Protect your family by purchasing Generali Global Assistance/CSA Trip
Cancellation/Interruption Insurance. The cost is small compared to your total vacation expense. A detailed informational pamphlet will be sent to you along with your rental lease. If you are not completely satisfied, the insurance policy may be cancelled within 10 days of booking your reservation and prior to your travel date.

Vacation Rental Damage Protection: Southern Shores Realty also offers an optional Vacation Rental Damage Protection Plan through its partnership with Generali Global Assistance/CSA Travel Protection. Simply make a one time payment of $55, in lieu of a Security Deposit, and avoid the hassle of having to pay for accidental damage later.

Balance of Rent: Remaining balances (rent, taxes, security deposit - if required, and any other fees) are due thirty (30) days prior to your arrival. You may pay this by personal check, a form of cash, or credit card. Should your personal check be returned for any reason, there will be a $25 service charge added to your balance. All payments should be in US Dollars.

Payments: Southern Shores Realty will accept a personal check (if received at least 30 days before your check-in date), a form of cash, or credit card (Visa, Discover or MasterCard). All payments should be in US Dollars. When paying by credit card (Visa, Discover or MasterCard) the following guidelines apply: If a credit card is used the following guidelines must be adhered to:

(1)The person named on the lease must also be the person whose name is on the credit card.

(2)Upon our acceptance of your credit card, your reservation will be considered immediately
