Historic and very charming 1,880 sq ft 2 bedroom, 2 bath house with a lot of character to be your base while you explore NOLA! Feel like a local and stay in a historic home to a Jazz musician, Joseph Ahrens, who once lived in the house.
You’ll love my place because of the true New Orleans feel and getting the experience of the coolest neighborhoods in New Orleans (in my humble opinion) - Marigny and Bywater!
My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), or groups. It's a 15-minute walk to Frenchmen street, 20-minute walk to the French Quarter, or check out closer neighborhood spots, such as Elizabeth’s, St. Coffee, Press Street Station, Faubourg Wines, or Morrow’s.
There is one king-size bed in the primary bedroom with an en-suite bathroom including a shower and separate bathtub. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and the second bathroom is located in the hallway for additional guests. There is also a queen size sofa bed available for 5th/6th guests.
The kitchen is fully stocked for all the cooking you may want to do, but there are so many delicious restaurants nearby that you may not find time to cook.
There is ample free street parking right out front.
PLEASE NOTE: My house is close to the river and Press Street depot train changing station. If you are a light sleeper or want complete silence, this will not be the best place for you. You will hear the trains changing cars at the depot and occasional ship horns.
