Immerse yourself in nature at Peaceful Retreat, a 3 bedroom, 3 bath log cabin designed for nature lovers looking to experience peacefulness and serenity in the snowshoe area of West Virginia. Sitting at an elevation of 3,200' surrounded by trees and wildlife, this charming log cabin offers more than you could imagine possible! This home comfortably sleeps 6 people and offers two working fire places, a wood fire pit, 3-season porch, oversized wrap around deck, main-level veranda, and lots of room for everyone to relax.

~ Reservation holders must complete check-in requirements.

~ All last-minute reservations or those booked by West Virginia residents are subject to a background check on the reservation holder at an additional fee
~ No Pets - Pets found in non-pet properties are forbidden and will result in immediate eviction without refund and incur a $250.00 charge to the credit card on file
~ No Smoking
~ No large gatherings
~ Check in time is after 4:00 PM
~ Check out time is 10:00 AM
~ Mandatory quiet hours between 10 pm and 8 am

Snowshoe Getaway

We chose this property for the proximity to the resort, as well as the amenities for our family. As a family of 5 with a toddler and two teenagers, it provided great spaces for separation and relaxation. The rooms were all very comfortable and had everything necessary to feel like home. A huge plus was that it was warm and cozy. We stayed in many places where the cabins felt cold and no matter how hard you tried you just couldn’t seem to get warm. The kitchen was equipped for cooking and storing anything we brought. Many times things you take for granted having at home you need to bring or buy—but things like spices and flour were available. This was nice. Additionally the bathrooms were fully stocked and linens with a laundry were awesome to have. The entertainment areas are wonderful too. From the indoor games, movies, and books—to the outdoor hot tub, firepit, deck and patios. The drive up the hill is a quick 20 min so we had no issue getting up and down multiple times a day to enjoy skiing and boarding. Overall we had a wonderful stay. Hope to come again!

The whole experience was wonderful. The house was cozy and very clean. Snowshoe mountain skiing was best on east I have been. Efficient, beautiful, romantic and fun!

An amazingly peaceful retreat

We had the most wonderful experience staying at the Peaceful Retreat. Located an easy 15-20 minute drive to Snowshoe Village, we enjoyed the slopes during the day and then rested by the fire or in the hot tub during the evening. The kitchen was extremely well equipped so we were able to cook all of our meals with ease. The porches are amazing and if it hadn’t been so incredibly cold, we would have really enjoyed rocking in the chairs while taking in the view. However, there is ample natural light in the house so it was always bright and comfortable. We had to contact the rental agency (Casago) once during our visit to ask for help with the gas fireplace. They were exceptionally nice and so very helpful. We could not be more pleased with our entire experience. We would definitely stay at the Peaceful Retreat again.

Best Stay Ever!

It was really a pleasure to stay at this Cabin, Everything worked great and we got help starting the fireplace so there was no reason to complain about anything. I would definitely look to rent again here when there is another Downhill race and possibly just to come fishing for a week!
