Perched proudly above the Helford River, Boscantle has everything you need on your doorstep for a truly memorable and relaxing family holiday.
Explore the stunning coastline and a number of secluded local coves with calm, turquoise waters perfect for swimming and water sports. The footpath directly opposite the house takes you down to Bar Beach and along to Helford Passage and the renowned Ferry Boat Inn. Helford Passage provides a multitude of activities including kayaking, paddle boarding, boat hire and rock pooling. Enjoy lunch on the pub’s terrace whilst overlooking the water or take a trip on the ferry (operates 1st April to 31st October) across to the picture perfect Helford Village for a drink at The Shipwrights Arms. The stunning gardens at Trebah and Glendurgan are also within walking distance. Back at the house, a gate from the garden will take you on to the Budock Vean golf course. Enjoy a round of golf or simply stroll across to the hotel for lunch, dinner or afternoon tea.
The unspoilt magic of this extraordinarily beautiful part of Cornwall awaits. You will likely feel as if you have stepped back in time...
Further afield, Mawnan Smith (5 mins by car) provides village shops, a public house and a cafe. There are more extensive facilities in the nearby foodie harbour towns of Falmouth (20 mins by car) and Porthleven (30 mins by car) including access to exceptional local ingredients for you to cook back at the house. Should you wish to go further afield, within 45 minutes you can access Cornwall's north coast (surfing) or the rugged west coast and Poldark country. Another fun day out is a boat trip across to St Mawes - either 15 minutes in a private speedboat from Helford Passage or 20 minutes on the ferry from Falmouth.
