You will be able to explore some of the major attractions, such as Edinburgh Castle and the Museum of Scotland. Haymarket is the nearest train station to the property and provides great transport links. The property consists of 1 bedroom, a stylish living room, a well-equipped kitchen, a cosy dining area, 1 shower room and 1 W/C, This flat sleeps 2 guests, and essentials are provided.

This charming 1-bed flat, nicely located in Edinburgh’s old town, has everything you might need for a truly amazing trip. This is the ideal accommodation for a couple planning their romantic gateway!

LIVING ROOM, DINING & KITCHEN:
Once you enter the stylish living room, you will find a gorgeous leather sofa, a comfy armchair, a decorative mirror, a cosy wood burner, a convenient coffee table, and a flat-screen TV to keep you entertained.

The kitchen has all the necessary equipment for you to prepare a delicious, home-cooked meal, including a gas stove, oven, extractor hood, microwave, fridge, kettle, and toaster.

Sit together around the dining table, and enjoy some quality time, which is suitable for up to 3 guests.

BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS:

The bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, perfect for recuperating after a long day of exploring the famous streets of Edinburgh and a mirrored wardrobe where you can store your belongings.

There are 1.5 bathrooms in the property. The main bathroom is equipped with a bathtub and an over-bath shower, and the separate half bathroom is fitted with a toilet and sink.

Very nice 3rd story Flat
We completely enjoyed our 4 night stay. The flat is just of the main square of Grassmarket where there is a thin if restaurants and shops. Our only hiccup was we couldn't get the washing machine to work. Might have just been operator error but it wouldn't start on.

Scotland stay
Very clean apartment and within easy access of all the fun stuff to see. The neighborhood is very diverse from a ritzy 5 star hotel just around the corner to a couple strip joints just kiddie corner from the apartment. Windows are single paned so you can hear people on the street below. It's not bad but earplugs will solve the problem. My friend and I loved the neighborhood though...very convenient to everything. The apartment was nice as well, but kind of quirky with the amenities. For example: no extra towels for kitchen or bath. Short on TP. No bath rug to keep from slipping when getting out of the shower. Communication with VRBO was non-existent until the very end. The instructions for entering the complex and knowing which apartment was ours were ridiculous! I will never do VRBO again just simply because of the lack of communication with them, but I can say that we enjoyed our stay once we were actually able to access the place!

Fell short of expectations
This apartment is basically fine. However, we felt it was not as advertised. The images in the listing make the space look quite a bit more spacious than it is. In reality, we found the rooms to be small and cramped. The details within are a little rough around the edges; a fresh coat of paint is needed. The check-in process was a bit confusing. We were not given a clear apartment number and had trouble finding the correct door. The neighborhood is perhaps in transition? From the living room windows, you can see two strip clubs below, and there is a third just out of view (because it is below you). The flashing lights of the strip club signs were a little off-putting. The bed is not uncomfortable but not great. The stairwell up is quite dirty and did not give us a good impression of the place. This is not a terrible place to stay, to be clear. It simply did not live up to our expectations, and offered a few negative surprises.

Met our needs
The check-in process was horrible. I had completed the online forms, but there was no house manual provided. I received an email with the lock box code, but when we arrived at the flat there were 5 lock boxes with no description of which one was ours. Of course, it was the last one we tried. In the box were keys, but no flat number. I called ALTIDO and was hung up on twice. The third time I spoke to someone who said he'd have to have someone call me back. After waiting a few minutes and not getting a call I called a fourth time and finally spoke to someone who was able to find the flat number after several minutes. The flat itself was much like the pictures, but the sofa is old and worn, the bed is very soft and lumpy, and the floor boards squeak, tilt, and move when you walk on them. The building that the flat is in is a little sketchy and dirty and there are 3 strip clubs on the same corner as the flat. Aside from that, the location was good for walking to the Grassmarket, Royal Mile, and Princes Street.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was located so close to the castle and everything else we wanted to see. We could not be more impressed. We would definitely stay here again.
