Welcome to our spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment in the heart of Canberra's south - Tuggeranong. It’s conveniently located near the local shopping centre and Government offices, and only a short walk to local parks and Lake Tuggeranong. You’ll find it to be a great base for exploring attractions in the south of the ACT including Tidbinbilla and the Deep Space Communications Complex.
This apartment is located on the ground floor of the building. You will have access to all of the apartment amenities and courtyard during your stay. It includes free Wifi and a simple selection of food for breakfast such as muesli, milk, coffee and tea. It is well liked by our previous guests and we hope you enjoy it too.
Bedrooms:
The master bedroom has a queen-sized bed while the second bedroom has 2 single beds. We provide professionally laundered and pressed linen for each stay. Both bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space for your luggage.
Bathroom:
The master ensuite includes a shower, while the main bathroom has a shower and bathtub combo. There's also a separate toilet. We provide complimentary towels, toilet paper, shampoo and body wash.
Kitchen:
Please make use of the fully-equipped kitchen during your stay It includes:
- fridge/freezer
- stovetop/oven
- plates, glasses, and utensils
- cooking pots and pans
We stock a simple selection of food for breakfast such as muesli, milk, coffee and tea.
Living & Dining Rooms:
This apartment is great for entertaining and has a comfortable sitting area with a TV that has access to local channels.
Courtyard:
There is a large private courtyard that catches the sun. So if the weather is nice, you can enjoy your meals outside.
Laundry:
A washing machine and dryer are available for your use, as well as an iron and ironing board.
Parking:
There is undercover secure parking under the building at no additional charge.
COMMON AREAS & AMENITIES:
You will have access to the building's BBQ area throughout your stay. BBQ area is in the main courtyard area near the visitor parking.
The common areas are managed by the building management and can be closed without prior notice to owners. We try our best to get the most accurate information to update the listing description as much as we can. In this regard, please check for building announcements at the time of your arrival to confirm the availability of common areas.
There is a key-safe for self check-in. Only 1 guest key set is provided. Please take care not to lose the keys as their replacement will incur a fee.
I have been living in Canberra for quite some time now and can help you navigate your way around the local area if you need. I can also provide you with any tips on the best places to go for food or just to have fun!
The neighborhood is quiet although close to many amenities. Things to note that are nearby:
-Gym, hockey center and Southern Cross Basketball Stadium
-South Point (main shopping center)
-Department of Social Services and Human Services are both within 1.5 km
-There is even a local beach at Lake Tuggeranong.
The closest bus station is a 500m walk. To get to the city take Bus 313 - 30 minutes. To get to the Woden Bus Station take Bus 343 - 16 minutes.
There is a gym across the road and trails for long walks around the lake :)
Any violation of our no-party rule will result in a non-negotiable $2000 penalty, in addition to any damages.
1. Please let us know if you need to check in early or leave later than the standard check-in/out times. We need to collect $50 for every hour, or increment thereof, of delayed check out.
2. I have a STRICT "No Pets Policy" and "No Smoking Policy". These are applicable inside and outside of the property. Any breach will result to a fine of $400 plus any additional fees for specialised cleaning.
3. The cleaning fee covers the regular cleaning and linens in the property. As this is not a hotel, please try to leave the place as tidy as possible. If the property is extra messy when you leave, an extra cleaning fee will be requested (minimum of $50).
4. Please be sure you understand our cancellation policies. You can find our current policy on our Airbnb listing.
5. Only those persons who made the reservation may stay in our property. If you're a business or government agency booking for other people, please contact us in advance to ensure access details are made clear.
6. No parties or gatherings of more than the maximum number of people that can book the property. Any non-guests must leave by 10:00 pm. And there should strictly be no loud noise after 10:00 pm. There is a $2000 penalty if this house rule is breached.
7. There are some items in the kitchen (tea, coffee, sugar, milk) which you are welcome to use. Also, the pantry has a few basics (i.e. muesli). We don't stock the refrigerator or provide any meals.
8. I list my property as not suitable for kids or infants as it is not child-proofed and we don't have baby amenities (i.e. high chair, cot). However, if the kids will be under adult supervision at all times, booking with children is no problem.
