FLORENCE ITALY PERFECT VESPUCCI APARTMENT
The Vespucci apartment is located in the historic center near the Ponte Amerigo Vespucci bridge, one block from the Arno river. The apartment is in a limited traffic zone so it is notably quiet, something that is a rare find in such a prime Florence location. As you stroll along the scenic Arno river, you will see teams of rowers gracefully making their way up the river, with the Tuscan hills in the distance. The produce market in the Cascine Park is a short walk away, where you can shop like a local for fresh produce & delicacies for meals back at the apartment.
INTERIOR
The apartment was renovated in 2007 so the kitchen and bathrooms are fresh and up-to-date. It is a comfortably furnished apartment just perfect for a family or two couples who want to escape the hustle and bustle since it just a few blocks walk to the major sites of historic interest. It is a thoughtfully furnished, clean and comfortable apartment.
The apartment is on the 4th floor (U.S. designation) with elevator. The apartment hallway is of grand proportions: wide, high, well lit. Off this area is a small balcony that overlooks the back gardens of the neighboring apartment buildings. Enjoy sitting on the balcony, taking in views of everyday life of the Florentines, sipping your coffee & reading the paper on lazy mornings.
The living room and second bedroom are to the right off the hallway. The kitchen, master bedroom with adjoining bathroom and the second bathroom are to the left off the hallway. A storage room at the end of the hallway is perfect for storing luggage.
The cheerful living room has two comfortable love seats. The windows overlook the street below with pleasant, unobstructed views of trees and rooftops. There is a dining table in the living room expands to seat up to six people. Two additional chairs can be brought in from the kitchen. Handsome polished terazzo floors in the living room, hallway and bedrooms are typical of the era the building was built. The kitchen has attractive terracotta tiles.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed and a large window. The bedroom is extremely quiet since it faces the back of the building. A bathroom adjoins this bedroom.
The second bedroom has two twin beds and a window overlooking the street. It gets lots of light and because of the limited traffic zone, minimal noise. The second bathroom is across the hall.
Both bathrooms have a fully enclosed shower, sink and toilet and have been recently remodeled.
The kitchen is very nice with a large window that admits plenty of light. There is good countertop space, new appliances, a large (by Italian standards) refrigerator with separate freezer compartment, dishwasher, microwave, gas 4-burner stove, electric oven, a small table with seating for two and an attractive Tuscan terra cotta tile floor. The kitchen comes equipped with pots, pans, dishes.
