Glasshaus is the perfect getaway and a fabulous location to launch your cottage country staycation or adventures from. Natural light-drenched and cozy, glasshaus features 9-foot ceilings, a linear electric fireplace and floor-to-ceiling windows with unobstructed nature views. The homes design is inspired by nature therapy, each room connecting you with the outdoors.
Located on a large treed lot in a quiet residential area you have plenty of space and privacy yet are minutes away from the beach, coffee shops, restaurants and shopping in the Wasagaming townsite and Onanole. Prefer to stay in? Whip up a meal in the well-stocked kitchen or on the gas barbeque, unwind on one of the two decks (one has a fire-table) or relax in front of the fireplace. STR 002-2024

Beautiful hideaway

We had a fantastic stay! The space is cozy but very functional for our group of 4 adults and 2 kids. Location adjacent to the park was very convenient. The cabin was very well-appointed for cooking. Communication and help was perfect. We’ve saved this cabin and will plan to come back!

Beautiful Modern Cabin in Serene Setting

The view of the woods through the floor to ceiling windows is stunning. The decor is beautiful and the cabin is nicely outfitted with everything you would need. It is located in a quiet and peaceful setting and we would happily come back here again.

My sister and I had a wonderful time at the Glasshaus. The house was very clean. The kitchen was really well stocked and organized. The beds were one of the most comfortable that we have ever slept in.

Incredible property

The location was fantastic. The property offered and had everything you would need. The AC system works great but is very loud. We would need to turn off for the evenings. We would most definitely stay there again.

Our family resides nearby. We visited the area for over four decades, renting privately. We came to love the area which eventually lead to building our rental home so we could welcome others as we were welcomed.

Grey Owl Resort is a quiet residential community, established as a seasonal resort in the 1980's. It is a delightful mix of unique cabins and residences. This location is the best of both worlds, offering privacy yet proximity to nearby Riding Mountain National Park and the town of Onanole. Glasshaus is a 4-minute drive or 30 minute walk to the RMNP townsite with the main beach, marina, cafe's, restaurants, a historic log theatre, art gallery, and, of course, shopping. Onanole is a 6-minute drive, where you will find a fabulous book, art and coffee shop, shopping opportunities and a take-out dinner.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

New and custom-built in a Scandinavian-style glasshaus is a stunning 3-bedroom, full bathroom retreat with tons of natural light. The large treed lot offers ample privacy so glasshaus is situated rear-facing to let the sun shine in and capitalize on unobstructed views of the natural landscape.

Design decisions focused on principles of nature therapy, nature architecture and the local climate. For abundant natural light we choose floor-to-ceiling south-facing windows, exterior glass doors and a floor-to-ceiling peek-a-boo window at the north entry allowing you to see straight through.

We believe in nature therapy. The relationship between exposure to natural light and nature and the effect it has on general health and well-being.

We love comfort and luxury and believe you do also. Glasshaus features original art and is stocked with crystal stemware, commercial grade Lagostina cookware, and J.A. Henckels cutlery. Bed linens are brand new and 100% cotton, the full bathroom features a heated floor.

Interested in a private wine tasting? We would be happy to arrange a private event with a local sommelier.

The open-plan kitchen/living area allows everyone to join in the fun! Whip up a meal in the fully stocked kitchen or on the barbeque then join family or friends for a game or opt for a visit on one of the two exterior decks. The rear deck has a barbeque and fire table.

Glasshaus has two entries, one with 3 stairs, the other a single stair to access. There are no interior stairs.
