This bright & airy 2nd floor, studio has a private balcony with city-scape views & can sleep 2 comfortably. Kitchen is separate from living room/sleeping area, has a large tub shower in the bathroom with walk-in closet. This NO PET suite is in a small block (2 story) of 8 suites in a private courtyard setting with faux foliage / grass. Washer/dryer & off-street parking available. With walk score of 94 this is perfect for business travelers, couples or small family.
The space
Being on the upper (of two) floors and wrap around windows there is a ton of light making it feel more spacious. The French doors open to your own private balcony off the main room which has almost 270 degree views of the city, harbor and airport (in the distance) or just to watch the everyday hustle & bustle as people go about their day, with a coffee in your hand. The kitchen is well equipped & has a small table and chairs, so you can make your own meals or sit and enjoy something delivered! We don't allow pets or other animals for the safety of our other residents in this small, gated property.
Guest access
Guests access through the front security gate, into a raised courtyard area and the suite is on the right. Guests will enter through their own private front door after opening the dead-bolt and door handle lock. You have exclusive access to the entire suite.
Other things to note
No smoking - means no smoking of ANY kind ANY where on the premises. This includes e-cigs, cigars, vaporizers, hookahs etc. You will forfeit the deposit and be asked to leave the premises. If you see anyone smoking or are being affected by someone smoking/vaping etc., please notify us as soon as possible. No PETS or other animals are permitted on the property. We also have several external cameras for our guest's security and our peace of mind as hosts which we use to clarify any issues with respect to guest safety and/or house rules.

The freeway and the Fightpath

No air conditioning but fans worked…blinds were frozen in place OPEN… 1 block from freeway and flight path to airport every 2 minutes until 1AM and starting about 6 AM… not mentioned in reviews! Never given the code by property manager had to call VRBO at 10:15 pm to get in to our stay for 4 nights.. although property manager gave me her personal number was never able to contact! I doubt we will get VRBO again.

Nice and Pleasant

This place worked out great for a few days in downtown San Diego. I didn't realize it was right under a flight path for planes landing at the airport, but I guess most of Little Italy is in that area. We were able to walk to a few places for food/groceries and drove down to the embarcadero each night for the sunset and shops. The apartment had everything we needed and Cherie was very responsive with any questions. This is a great place!

Good view/location, less than desirable cleaning

The apartment is located in the optimal spot for those who want to maximize a short trip in San Diego. It is also cohesively decorated, and communication with Tim and Cherie was very easy. However, our experience in the apartment was marred by multiple infractions. We were told that a cleaning crew was in the apartment prior to check-in, but there were noticeable signs that they did an incomplete job (e.g., pair of men's boxers on the bathroom floor, smell of smoke on the duvet cover, and improperly cleaned dishes). We were visited by a large cockroach on two separate occasions. Overall, the space needs more upkeep to reach its full potential. The best part of our stay was how responsive Tim and Cherie were to our messages. They coordinated bag storage prior to check-in, took care of the unwanted pests in a timely manner, and gave us plenty of recommendations for our visit.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

This secure little hide-away is walking distance to Balboa Park, Zoo, Waterfront Park, USS Midway & Little Italy (with all it's great restaurants & nightlife). A little further afield is the downtown Gas Lamp area & the Convention Center. We are very close for access the airport or the I-5; south to Coronado, Tajuana (Mexico), or north to Pacific Beach, Mission Bay, La Jolla, Torrey Pines etc..
