Two Bedrooms and one bath. This cottage can sleep 6 comfortably. Located on Loon Lake, an all sports lake, with Pontoon boat during the summer. Located Very close to Baldwin area trails for your side by side, and snowmobile adventures, or if fishing is your thing, Loon Lake has all kinds of Pike, Bass, Bluegills, Crappie and more! A breakfast restaurant is right across the street, or wander up to Na-Ta-Kah, an Irons must eat restaurant! Enjoy the toys while you stay here and the pontoon is available for an extra fee. Has a beautiful beach, two Kayaks, and two paddleboards for use when renting.

Don't Stay Here

Stayed from Aug. 19 - Aug. 24. First off all the hot water is to hot you could burn yourself. The place said maximum guest is 6, I think it's 4 and that's pushing it. First bedroom is OK. Small bedroom has a full size bed but keeps sliding off. No dresser or any place to put your clothes. Bed is about 1 foot away from the closet and 1 and 1/2 feet from the wall, no other space in the room. Night stand smells. Futon and fold out love seat not suitable for sleeping on, no heat or air in there. Grill dirty and old could not cook on it whole time there. Patio unsafe, no barrier on right side coming out the breeze way, very dangerous. No lights on stairs going down to the beach area at night about 25 steps to the beach some loose very unsafe. There is a fire table on the patio which would not light even with the owners instructions. Rented pontoon boat, could not go cruising around the lake at night, lights not working or anything else, except the motor. The only reason we stayed there the whole time is because we were all on vacation and had no where else to go or we would have.

Cozy lake cabin

We enjoyed everything about our 5 day , 4 night stay at Loon Lake . Cabin has everything you can possibly need while your there , Scott the owner is awesome to deal with everything went just as it should. The pontoon is very nice it is a must have while there . If fishing and want to caught nice big bass use 2 -3 inch minnows and you wont be disappointed. We had a fabulous time , we will be back !

Never again

Inside was clean but old and sad. Outside was terrible! Steep stair steps down to the beach were absolutely treacherous! The dock was so rickety we were afraid to stand on it. The picnic tables were old and rotted. We brought our own boat to fish with but there was no public launch site because it was a private lake which we weren't told. As I was about to go into the water I saw a sign on the beach saying the water had just been sprayed with chemicals and listed warnings. The yard of the property was strewn with junk and all the outdoor furniture was covered with bug and bird droppings. Even the doorways heading outside had uneven and steep steps. We only stayed 3 days because we disliked it so much. We payed way too much and were terribly disappointed.

It was very relaxing. Only problem was the lack of handrails by stairs. I have mobility issues and had to be very careful.

Nice Getaway

It it always nice to get away and visit Michigan. We have been doing it for several years now. We come for fishing. The fishing that week was not good unfortunately. It happens. The weather cooperated for 3 of the 5 days. Neighbors are so nice! Area is nice! Wish the fishing and weather would have worked out. Local restaurant is excellent!

Great place!

Had an amazing stay! Loved the small lake and taking the pontoon for a few laps around the lake. Had a great time fishing! The neighbors were also amazing and very friendly!

Nice basecamp for a small fishing trip

Stayed here last week as part of an annual fishing outing with friends. Property is a little on the small side, and the living space that houses the futon was largely filled with tools and items from the owner, but it was otherwise good for our purpose. Has a decent sized deck with a very nice firepit out back, and fishing off the dock was some of the best I've seen. Lake is on the small size, but traffic was light even on "busy" days, and the bass fishing was significantly better than any of the lakes in the area we've tried in the past. This might not be large enough for a big family (5+), but it's not advertised as such either really. Great value for the price.

Nice quiet retreat

We very much enjoyed our stay at the loon lake, lake house. I hope to rent again in the future. It was peaceful and the neighbors were friendly. Really loved that there was a fenced in area for our two small dogs. It made our vacation so much more relaxed and the view of the lake from the cabin was great. My daughter and her friend, enjoyed the paddleboards and since lake wasn't super busy, it was easier for them to be able to do so. The bed was much more comfortable than my own. Also with having access to roku tv, when it rained we didn't get bored and loved our stay greatly.

Fell in love with the area years ago and you will too! So much to see and do around here. Ski area within 30 minutes, hundreds of miles of recreational trails for motorcycles, ATV's, Side by Sides, and snowmobiles. Tons of lakes for fishing.
