Located in the heart of the Manistee National Forest. 4 miles from Tippy Dam, 1 mile from Dublin store, 1/4 mile from Atv snowmobile trails, and 10 miles from Caberfae ski resort. Minutes from the Manistee and Pine River. This small A frame is great for 2 people but can handle 4 with a pull out bed! It is located in the center of hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, canoeing, ORV, snowmobiling and site seeing areas!
Two of us stayed in the cabin for a weekend during the winter, and it was so cozy! The fireplace did a great job of heating the space, and kicks on automatically. We had no problem staying warm. As other reviews stated, though it backs up to woods, it is in a neighborhood. But there is a decent amount of seclusion. The exterior has also been painted black recently, so it looks different than the pictures, but the black looks great! Cooking supplies and utensils were conveniently in the cabin as well as towels and a few toiletries which was really helpful. VRBO Owner was quick and responsive to any questions we had. Hoping to stay again in the future!
We had a great time! The cabin is cozy and the trails near by are wonderful. The cabin has everything we would have needed, towels, microwave and stove/ oven, Keurig, coffee maker, utensils and cookware, tv and DVD player. We stayed 3 nights and only left for the trails. Will definitely come back.
Cabin was small but very cool set up. Great use of space. Very well kept up and clean. Large grocery store and gas within a mile of the cabin. Really enjoyed the stay. We stayed with my wife, myself, and our teen son and didn't really feel cramped. If you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a tiny house, definitely check it out!
Great location close to gas station, jerky store and fishing spots. Nice quiet neighborhood. Lot of nearby options for things to do. Enjoyed a 2 night fishing trip. Very nice cabin. Love the back porch/fire pit setup. We ended up grilling dinner every night. We were even able to watch the Michigan game at the cabin. The crystal clear night sky made for an amazing view of the stars that you can't see in the city. Awesome place, we definitely plan on coming back. Thank you!
We totally loved the place and will be back. That being said, a few things could be better upkept. The portable a/c in the closet was quite dirty and a bit of a pain to set up. The water is fine for washing and the bathroom but dont plan on drinking it if avoidable. Tall people will find it tricky to navigate in some spots. Main thing to remember is it is a cabin and feels as such. Luxury it is not. We wouldn't have it any other way.
Me and my husband enjoyed the cabin and the area. The only issue we had was that the listing stated that there was Wi-Fi. Which Is something that was needed for my husbands job. Due to his position he needed to be able to receive emails and there was limited cell service so Wi-Fi was important. There was a tab on the booking that stated if you have not received the Wi-Fi instructions to message the host. The day before our arrival I messaged the host for the information and was told âthere is no Wi-Fiâ at this point is was to late to cancel and receive our money back. I just feel like the host should review the posting and make changes. We have used VRBO 3 times a year for approximately 6 yrs and not had any issues until now. We really enjoyed the cabin but feel like the stress of needing to find cell service to check emails took away from our time to enjoy the cabin.
The property was clean, well stocked and very cozy. Had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend. No internet or Wi-Fi so definitely an unplugged weekend. My only disappointment was in the picture it looked more secluded, in the middle of the woods but itâs actually in a neighborhood
Very comfy for 2, not certain 4 people can fit comfortably. Very accurate and timely info from the owner when I had inquiries. Be prepared to drive a bit to get to tourist destinations, but take advantage of the incredible forest you are located in. A very convenient grocery store is minutes from the A-frame (with a record setting amount of jerky). The backyard firepit is great and you will have all the essentials you need in the kitchen. The lockbox on the front porch is not operable. It may be time to shampoo the carpeting on the stairway up to the bedroom. Great value!
We loved this cabin/cottage, it was clean and nicely decorated. It was perfect for our anniversary weekend. Quiet neighborhood, and just about a mile and a half from the Dublin Store. We would stay again in this house. The only thing I could say negative about it is that it says in the amenities there is internet and there is no internet.
This little gem offers your choice of a multitude of things to do outside and keep you entertained for hours. We went there to hike in the Manistee forest. There we saw skiing,, ATV and dirt bike trails. The Pine and Manistee rivers for canoeing and fishing too. A cozy little cabin to relax in at the end of the day.. Thank you for sharing your cabin it was wonderful!
The place is beautiful! It's definitely small but incredibly cozy. The fireplace is fantastic and boy does it heat up the place. I highly recommend if you want to just get away and love nature.
I am a rather large person, so that made maneuvering around this cabin a little tricky, but I didn't mind too much. I was able to get a good rest from the chaos of reality, so I see my stay as a rousing success.
