Needs fixes, restocking, and better communication
I reserved this property in January for a wedding in April. My family of 9 stayed at the property. There were adults and young children. Pros: 1. Large open space, multiple bedrooms, and bathrooms and pool 2. The bathrooms supplied soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hair dryers 3. The property had a great layout and beautifully decorated. Cons: 1. Communication with the property owner was very delayed. I requested for our reservation to be changed by 1 day due to flight changes. This required 6 messages and 7 phone calls over the span of several months to be updated. Other questions I asked weren’t answered. 2. Check-in: They didn’t send check in information until 2 hours prior to checkin. I had to contact them to get the information. 3. Property fixes: 5 out of 6 burners on oven do not work, the oven fan doesn’t work, spin cycle of washer doesn’t work, refrigerator handle is broken, and one bathroom wasn’t working. The door had a security code lock. It kept saying it needed recharging battery was low. I contacted the property owner. They never replaced it. One evening it wouldn’t let us into the property and we had to go over the fence and enter from the back of property. 4. Supplies: There weren’t any cooking pans or sheets. There were barely enough glasses, plates, coffee mugs for each person to have one. They needed to be washed each day. For a property this size - I would expect double the occupancy in these. All adults didn’t have a regular size plate. There weren’t enough. There were NO wine glasses!! Staying at a property in California I would think these would be stocked. They did have coffee and spices. 5. Bedrooms- The beds were uncomfortable. Could feel springs while sleeping. They need a memory foam topper or new mattress. My back was in knots everyday. 6. Internet: It went out the day before we flew out. It was out for 24 hours. The property manager tried to help, but said it wasn’t them but the carrier. He finally called them and it was fixed. 7. Pool: The pool was dirty. We cleaned it ourselves. There weren’t any outdoor seating. This was a bummer as it is a great space, but it couldn’t be enjoyed. Overall, the property owner needs to go through this property and fix several issues before it is rented again. I would recommend not staying here until some of these issues are addressed.

First impressions on the house terrible not clean I do have photos but unable to upload
The top part of the cooker rings are caked in grease looks like it has not been cleaned in years and that goes for the oven as well so we did not use these The fridge door handle is only holding on at the top the bottom part comes away when opening the fridge it needs screwing back in place. It also has smear marks where it looks like some one tried to clean it. The kitchen cupboards are all marked on the doors and drawer’s looks like grease they look like they have not been cleaned in weeks! The insides of the cupboards have not been cleaned they have a lot of residue crumbs and sugar granules in them there was not much day to day crockery no wine glasses lots of cutlery and knives. No tea towels if I had know I could have brought some with me. The bathroom not connected to a bedroom has a loose fitting toilet seat when you sit on it it moves from side to side not very safe also looks like the toilet seat needs to be repaired or replaced. The sink plug needs a investigating as the water does not run away. The extractor fan has a lot of dust and dirt on it it really does need a good clean. The main bedroom needs a new / cleaner shower glass in the bath it is so dirty and grime on the glass. The glass looks like is it not safe as if comes off the runners. The sink has some rust stains well that what it looks like, so not very clean. The walk in wardrobe needs more hangers as there is not enough to hang up your clothes there were only 8 small ones in there that’s not enough to hang up your clothes not much of any drawers to put your underwear in? So disappointed for the main bedroom have to live out of the suitcases The bedroom with the glass doors to the back garden the bathroom we were only able to use it once as the bath drain was blocked the water would not runaway the toilet blocked up and the sink was also blocked seem strange that it had a plunger in the bathroom so was there trouble before we came and stayed? We were told the plumber will be in to look at it but did not come the day they said Sunday 2 April consider that we told them on the 30 March (yes we had other bathrooms to use but we rented this for a bathroom for every bedroom as 6 of us was staying at the bungalow). Classic case of putting lipstick on a pig.
I don’t know where to start. How about we checked out of this place as soon as we woke up after our first night here. The place smelled awful, the refrigerator handle was broken, one toilet seat wobbled, two bathroom tubs were spitting back dirty clogged water, one tub made horrid noises every time I moved while showering, there was a bandage used to keep the wood veneer on the medicine cabinet stuck on, a tile in the bathroom vanity was falling off which was hidden with a flower vase, at least two windows did not open… I can go on but I think you got the picture.

Disappointing-shame as could be really lovely
The house was nice albeit a little tired. When we arrived the house was very cold as heating was broken, the owner got this fixed the following day. Which is positive but our first night was very cold. We were promised a pool heater as pool is not heated and we checked within our cancellation period and was promised one. We would have booked another property with a heated or indoor pool if we had known. We messaged the owner 3 times but to no avail on our last day he alleged one had been delivered to property but had been stolen. On our second to last day the drains in one of the bathrooms backed up and we ended up with soiled water in the toilet, bath and coming out of the garage. The owner did get this fixed within a couple of hours but the smell was unpleasant. . I don’t feel we got what we paid for and I do feel the house is lovely but needs some work. I think if some money is invested into Theo expertly it would be good to rent out. Instead we spent our week reporting problems.
