Lang Road offers a remote escape in the heart of Twin Lakes Historic Village, recently named "Colorado's Prettiest Town". Surrounded by the National Forest and nestled at the base of the Rockies' tallest mountains, our getaway provides walking distance to trails leading to rivers, beaches, lakes, historic sites and natural wonders. Enjoy the best views and access to wilderness right outside your door, for an unforgettable and tranquil experience.
***PLEASE NOTE*** You are renting (3) adjacent homes on the same road. The Brothel has 2 bedrooms and can accommodate 3 guests. The Charles comprises 6 bedrooms and can host up to 8 guests. The Stargazer Chalet has 4 bedrooms and can hold up to 6 guests.*

Events are subject to approval. Please note event fees will apply.

BRINGING YOUR FURRY FRIEND?
We are happy to accommodate your furry friend(s) with an additional $75–$100 cleaning fee per pet, 2 dogs max per unit. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing your pup(s) upon confirming the reservation.

Each home will have designated parking spots directly in front of the home. Please do not park anywhere else.

Because of zoning laws, each home can accommodate a maximum number of people per night. If you exceed this number, you will be charged an additional $100 per person, per night. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

- Each home is supported by well water and a septic system. These systems are very sensitive to items that are not water or waste. Flushing down solid items and trash could easily clog and disrupt the entire system. Please be conscious to use the trash for trash and solid items. For operation instructions and guidelines, please carefully your review your guidebook link when you receive it.

The Brothel:
- Occupancy: max 3 people
- Dogs are permitted with an additional $75 cleaning fee per pet, 2 dogs max. Sorry, no cats permitted. Please let us know upon confirming the reservation.

- Right next door is the Twin Lakes Dance Hall. It is used as an event space.

The Charles:
- Occupancy: max 8 people
- The windows on the first floor are the home’s original windows and have long been painted shut. There are 2 exits on the floor in case of emergencies.
- In case of fire, there is an emergency ladder in the large bedroom on the top floor. Please do not move this ladder unless it is an emergency.
- We kindly ask you to use caution on all staircases. This unit may not be suitable for individuals with mobility challenges or the elderly, as access to some bedrooms require navigating stairs.
- The zipline is available for you to use at your own risk. Management and owners will not be responsible for injury stemming from any use of the zipline.
- Dogs are permitted with an additional $100 cleaning fee per pet, 2 dogs max. Sorry, no cats permitted. Please let us know upon confirming the reservation.

The Stargazer Chalet:
- Occupancy: max 6 people
- Fireplace: Sadly, this amenity is a liability and this will not be available to use during your stay
- Please note this home was built in the 1890s. It has been thoroughly renovated yet some floors are uneven or 'soft' in some spots. Please consider these details as it may be a concern for someone in your group.
- Kindly use caution on all staircases. This unit may not be suitable for individuals with mobility challenges or the elderly, as access to some bedrooms require navigating stairs.
- Dogs are permitted with an additional $100 cleaning fee per pet, 2 dogs max. Sorry, no cats permitted. Please let us know upon confirming the reservation.

THE WILDLIFE
There are plenty of animals around the premises, including many deer, foxes, multiple species of raptors and other birds, armadillos, bunny rabbits, black bears, mountain goats, bighorn sheep, mountain lions, coyotes, and much more! You won’t see all of these at the properties, but if you get out on the trails, you might get lucky…

INTERNET/CELL PHONE COVERAGE
We provide STARLINK satellite internet on site with speeds of about 50–100 Mbps. Nearly all cell service providers will have consistent and reliable 4G connections.

FOOD & GROCERY
The nearest large grocery store is about 30 minutes away in Leadville. It is recommended that you bring your food/drink needs along with you. During the summer months, there are some eating options just down the block.

NATURE, WEATHER & TRAVEL RECOMMENDATIONS
Our properties are remote. Most of the time a 2WD is just fine but during the winter/spring months a vehicle that can navigate mud, deep snow, ice and drifting snow is a must and a 4x4 is highly recommended. Please keep in mind that we do not provide refunds in the event of challenging road conditions or if vehicles are unable to reach the home during the winter months.
- Storm/road conditions may delay arrivals or departures, please plan accordingly.
- Close-toed shoes are ideal for this high-mountain scrub landscape and a must in the winter/spring months.
- We are located at 9,200 feet elevation - so please drink plenty of water to stay hydrated and avoid altitude sickness.
- Be prepared and pack lots of clothing layers so you can adapt to ever-changing conditions.
- Mountain storms come and go quickly.
- Sometimes the wind kicks up to remind us of all the things we cannot control, but it usually
settles down again within a few hours.
- Wildlife is somewhat rare but has been known to wander through, so please do not leave food outside at night.

OUTSIDE LIGHT
Because the village of Twin Lakes is celebrated as a 'Dark Sky City,' everyone in town does their utmost to minimize the amount of exposed light outside their homes. For this reason, we only have a solar-powered light above the address to allow you to find the property but no other functional exterior light. Please bring a flashlight if you require light to be used outside.

OUTDOOR CAMERAS
To provide utmost safety to our guests and community, we have installed Blink video cameras at the exterior of both entrances. There is NO surveillance of any kind inside the home.

RESPECT
These homes are located in a remote, historic mountain town. As visitors to the area, please think about your impact on our town and the small surrounding communities. Please respect full-time residents' privacy and solitude. Follow Leave No Trace guidelines when visiting and recreating in the beautiful outdoors, and please consider supporting local dining and shopping during your stay.

SMOKING POLICY
We like to keep our homes as fresh as the outside alpine air. If you need to smoke, you'll need to step outside to do so. There will be a $600 fine for any smoking inside the properties.

We're here for you during your stay but our level of interaction is up to you. We are only a phone call or message away. You will be able to self check-in upon arrival. We are happy to assist via phone or through Airbnb before, during or after your stay.

Once a week, one of our team members will stop by the property to put out the trash cans, replenish our supplies, and/or restock sheets and towels. They will NOT enter the home. They have access to the garage or shed with a code. This day may or may not fall during your stay.
We are accessible year-round. Our homes are located on a county road that gets plowed when there's snow but we still recommend AWD/4x4 with good tire tread in the snowy months (generally December to April). Winter driving conditions on the highways leading to the properties can change in very short amounts of time. We recommend checking the conditions before you start driving your way and plan accordingly. Colorado has some specific winter driving laws pertaining to tire requirements. The fine for violating the traction law is pretty expensive so we recommend that you familiarize yourself with the law before driving during the winter.

Speaking of snow, this is the Colorado Rockies so be prepared! We do our best to plow the area in front of the properties and shovel the walkway. However, the remote nature of this place can make these tasks delayed. We do provide a shovel in case you need to clear a path.
Please be advised there is no public transport to this location.

Our homes are easily accessible all year round. However, please note that during the snowy months (generally December to April), the county road leading to the properties is plowed, but we recommend having an AWD/4x4 vehicle with good tire tread to ensure safe travel. Always check the highway conditions before embarking on your journey, and plan accordingly. In addition, please familiarize yourself with Colorado's specific winter driving laws, including tire requirements, to avoid costly fines.
