Welcome to a Doll House, a historic house in the Hamlet of Andes, in the heart of the Catskills mountains! We welcome you to a breathtaking autumn leaf display, cool summers, fabulous winter skiing...any season has its attractions in this quaint American town.

The private Eagle studio has lots of character with its gabled vaulted ceiling, gothic window in a dining area, a comfortable queen bed, a twin bed, a sitting area with Tv/ROKU - great for a group of 3 guests! The en suite bathroom has a one-person jacuzzi tub with a shower. Guests can use a full size refrigerator, an electric stove and a full kitchen with everything necessary to make a meal. The studio is located on the 3rd floor with the entrance thru the house and gives guests full privacy. The door has a regular keyed entry.

No pets are allowed in the house. The house is not pet friendly and has carpet in all bedrooms, basement and corridor. We kindly ask to not inquire or bring pets of any kind to the house.

The space
The studio apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a historic house built over 110 years ago. The apartment is a separate unit with great privacy. It can comfortably accommodate up to 3 guests. It has en suite full size bathroom with a one-person jacuzzi tub and a shower, a queen bed, a twin bed. There are two ceiling fans in the apartment. It has a portable AC unit to be used in summer.

The Doll House was lovingly renovated and boasts four bedrooms, master suite, an apartment and a full size basement lounge. The house has four levels. The basement is a Gentlemen's Lounge with a great TV area and a pool table, sauna/sweat room. It can be used by all guests as a general entertainment area.

The first floor has a main kitchen with a bathroom and four French doors opening to the generous deck; a living room with a Steinway piano and a wood burning fireplace; a parlor/entrance room from the front porch and stairs to teh 2nd floor, and a bedroom off the kitchen where the manager of the property stays.

The 2nd floor has a master suite with en suite bathroom, and two bedrooms listed and a full size bathroom. The house boasts gorgeous perennial gardens, a bubbling mountain creek...with outside sitting areas, a swing and a fire pit

Guest access
The house has a generous parking. We also have a front porch sitting area and a backyard deck with a gas grill for our guests to enjoy. We are a walking distance to downtown Andes with a choice of restaurants and entertainment. The EV charger is available at the Andes library. Many events are organized in the vicinity. The manager can assist with the information or you can "google" and find things you enjoy.

The guest renting the studio will also have access to the basement lounge, sauna (extra fee) and the living room.

Other things to note
Two RING electronic doorbells managed by smartphone are installed on the front and back doors for guests' convenience and added security. The TV sets in the Gentlemen's Lounge and on the 3rd floor have ROCU for streaming. The Doll House has no TV cable service.

Convenient location

We loved being able to walk to all the things we wanted to do in downtown Andes! This room is difficult to navigate due to the “attic”ceilings but it is unique as can be with many fun nooks and crannies. It was hard for my 6ft 2 husband. Hosts are fantastic and other rooms in the house would be perfect.

We enjoyed our stay on the third floor ! We were pleasantly surprised how big the third floor was ! It was very quiet and we saw no one else staying in the building. We would definitely go back for the peace and quiet !

I have been living in Andes over 25 years. My husband and I are world travelers having worked in and visited many countries and cultures. We both cook and enjoy various cuisines. We love the City where Paul has spent most of his life. We are both retired and spend time between the USA, Dominican Republic and Europe. We enjoy the Andes tranquility, and our historic one-of-the- kind house which we lovingly renovated making into a home with all modern amenities. And we love to host people...We want our guests to enjoy our unique historic property-inside and out with its water features and beautiful gardens.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The Doll House is a unique property. The style is Victorian Queen Anne. The house dates to 1900s and was built by a wealthy local family. It is a 5,000 sq ft historic unique property with beautiful original features and modern amenities. The kitchen is an inside/outside room with three French doors leading to thee back deck. The rooms have their own characters. A separate 3rd floor apartment! This house is a whimsical space that can be enjoyed by anyone - in-town trails, walking distance to downtown restaurants, babbling creek in the back, an orchard of its own.

Finnish traditional sauna is located in the Gentlemen's Lounge and can be used at additional cost. The pool table is in the lounge as well. There is a Grand Steinway piano in the living room.
