Very nice condo!

Nice heated large pool with lots of loungers. Very secure entry to property, we felt quite safe in our unit. Very clean and well stocked, including a wide variety of spoces A nice little patio with a quiet view of the inner lawn. Comfortable bed also. We would definitely recommend this condo!

Generally Good but Needs an Update

You will like the location and the grounds. Kitchen is fully equipped with all the gadgets, pans, utensils and tableware you'll need. Comfortable little patio looks out into the courtyard. Shaded parking spot. Great cable TV package and internet. Bed is comfortable. Chair and couch not comfortable; no good reading lamps. No walk-in shower. Needs updating but comfortable.

The check-in was smooth everything was well I had no major issuesThe only minor annoyances were 1. Roaches, I mean most places in Tucson have them and they did go away towards the end of my stay. I suppose the previous guest did something to attract them.2. The AC unit, the AC unit leaks water and it would drip because the condensation melts after it has been off for a while. The manager did get the AC guy in there but it turned out to be a clogged pipe somewhere or something and it was hard to access so I just had to live with it. The solution was to keep the fan on all the time , that way all the water gets blown out.However this is my best experience renting in Tucson so far.Would definitely stay here again!

We have regular pest control on the premises and we take our own measures in addition. However, if there is still a problem, let us know and we can help. 2. The leak has been fixed and the AC works fine again.

Gem nestled away in Tucson

The place is centrally located next to everything you’ll need. The gym is great. The bed is not good and needs to be changed out. Otherwise perfect for a business trip.

Beautiful vacation getaway place

We felt like we were at a high end resort with the beautiful grounds, swimming pool area and hot tub. This condo is located in a great part of Tucson close to all kinds of shops and restaurants, and other activities. We really liked the security of the property, and felt very safe. Our apartment was very quiet. The staff at the residence center were very pleasant and helpful. Our property manager was great - we had a minor issue with the shower nozzle and he sent out a repair man right away and got it taken care of. The queen size bed was very comfortable. We couldn't have wished for a better place for our winter stay. Highly recommend it.

Great Tuscan Stay

Rental process on VRBO was easy and priced reasonably. No hidden costs and expectations clearly expressed. Condo/apt location was perfect for our needs. Located on east side of Tucson within walking distance of shops, restaurants and even a mall. The rental itself is located next to the pool, jacuzzi and fitness center. Covered parking dedicated to the unit a short walk away. Heated pool was wonderful and we pretty much had in to ourselves during the day. There were gas and charcoal grills available for use. Gas was located in the pool area near the rental. Rental itself was basically clean and appreciated the availability of paper and cleaning supplies although we provided our own. The rental is a bit outdated. Bed mattress is new and comfortable. Washer and dryer in unit was convenient. Occupant of unit above rental is not quiet. We would rent this property in the future.

Good Overall Stay... but the Condo Complex Mgmt is POOR

Location is excellent – 1 block to the Walmart neighborhood store (S) and other shopping, restaurants, etc (N). It is an oasis of sorts, being of much newer construction – built in ~1985 – compared to the surrounding neighborhood. The complex is a mixture of condos and apartments (condos that did not sell but are rented). Many snowbirds and military live in the complex (Davis Monthan AFB being 1 mile directly south to the main gate). 16 buildings total comprise the entire condo complex – so it is a sizable complex that is surrounded by a metal fence around the entire perimeter. This specific VRBO unit is located on the 1st floor and faces into an inside courtyard, so it is nice and quiet (vs the traffic noise along Craycroft). It has a corresponding, dedicated parking spot that is covered (to protect your car from the sun). Bedroom is nice and big with a large walk-in closet. Bathroom is sizable too. Living room, dining area, and kitchen are in an open floor arrangement with the washer/dryer immediately off the kitchen. For the 1st three weeks, we had no neighbor above us, so it was quiet. Swimming pool, hot tub, and gas grilling area are only about 30 ft away from the unit – so you are REALLY close. We went almost daily to the pool area to lie out and read. With the wind blowing and 3 fountains at the pool bubbling, it was extremely peaceful and restful. Because we were lodging for 5 weeks (month of Jan and 1 week in Feb), almost no one went to the pool area. So, we had it to ourselves most of the time. The gym is good and is open 24/7. Dozens of dogs live in the complex as evidenced by daily walks (no problems). We used to take daily walks around the perimeter of the entire complex, usually 3-5 times, either day or night. – In short, our stay was good and we would gladly rebook again. At NO FAULT to the host or owner, we had 3 instances that point out managerial problems at the complex itself. 1 – We lost water supply for 18 hours - no explanation. 2 – The key pad for actuating the access gate wasn’t working right for about 4 days when we first arrived. 3 – Hot tub was closed due to “missing parts” for ~18 days. While neither the host or owner are responsible for these 3 occurrences, if you are renting the unit, then be prepared for some mishaps to occur due to the ineptitude of the Residential Mgmt. Our one negative reaction about the place was a dirty carpet (the bottom of my white socks became quite dirty easily).

The complex was built in 1995/96 and is wonderful indeed. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the pool. I do, too, when I’m there. The onsite management is actually quite good and takes care of maintenance quickly. If there is a problem, just give us a call. We have the carpet professionally cleaned on a regular basis. Great condo

This condo is everything you need while staying in the area. Great kitchen fully stocked, big bedroom and walk in closet. The pool is just a few steps away. Sometimes the facility will close the pool for a few days for maintenance and cleaning, so be cautious if you are coming for a short term vacation. The gym at the facility is great. Everything was extremely clean and secure ! Would definitely stay again

The Condo met all my needs for my two month stay in Tucson. The Property Manager, Don Knittel, was very responsive to a couple small items. Should I be back in Tucson again, I will definitely check to see if this condo is available.

My wife and I stayed here for a month during January and February. Ease of booking was good. Easy access into the condo when we arrived. Donald and Tim were easy to work with. We had a few minor things to be dealt with during our stay and they were dealt with right away. The condo is a nice size for two or three people. The condo was clean when we arrived with the exception of the ceiling fans. The bed was very comfortable. The walk in closet was great, but it needs a few more hangers. Fortunately we had brought our own. We felt the condo was a little dated. The property is very well maintained. Gated community but easy access in and out of the property. Unfortunately for us and well out of the control of the owner and manager, the pool area was closed for most of the time that we were there. Upgrades were been done to the pool, heater and pool area.

A good property in a good location with access to shopping and dining. Had to buy a few pans which I was reimbursed for. Could have been a little cleaner on check in but they had plenty of cleaning supplies and appreciate having the basics needed such as paper towel, laundry soap etc. Would stay again.

CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR HOLIDAY

We arrived just prior to Christmas and stayed for two weeks. Check-in was easy and Don was responsive to all questions regarding the use of the apartment. The property is situated within a controlled compound with well manicured grounds, a club house including a well equipped fitness center and heated pool. Deposits were promptly returned and we would use again.

What A Treat!

This apartment home was terrific! I was close to most everything. It was beautiful to boot! The pool was wonderful and never busy. Many of my visits to it were all to myself. The unit manager was very responsive to my needs and he was as nice as you could ever want! Tucson is a fabulous city and I have encouraged all my friends to come to see it for themselves! In fact, I loved it so much I move here!

Condo has no microwave or barbecue, upstairs guy & dog who prevents sleep. Left early.

Clean but no sleep because of upstairs neighbor & his dog who kept us up until 3-4 am made our vacation a nightmare. Would not recommend or come back. No barbecue and no microwave either. Loved Tucson though lots to see and do and look forward to booking somewhere else in future.

The condo is owned by Dr. Tim Johannsen (PhD Physics, University of Arizona) who used to live there himself for several years while attending the UofA. We have been close friends for almost 20 years.

This terrific condo complex really stands out. Its great atmosphere and especially the luxury pool area are unmatched by other apartment complexes within at least 30 minutes. Easy access to all parts of the city. Lots of dining and shopping opportunities within 1-2 blocks (including Park Place Mall).

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Tim loved to go swimming in the heated pool in the morning before starting his day or simply to jump into the hot tub after work. Very relaxing. The ground-floor condo is only steps away making it a wonderful experience.
