The cottage is nestled in Ormond-By-The-Sea which is a small coastal town located on a barrier island that sits between the Atlantic Ocean and the Halifax River. The cottage has direct access to the beach without having to cross busy A1A, and its beach is closed to vehicle traffic making it ideal for families and beachgoers that want to avoid the dangers of having to tend with motorized vehicles. Less than a half mile away - on the west side of the island - the Halifax River provides excellent fishing and kayaking adventures as well as an abundance of wildlife - We can arrange for kayak rentals and tours. The cottage is conveniently located within walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, surf shops and live music venues. Venturing out by car, historic St. Augustine is literally "just up the road" - head north on scenic A1A and after 45 miles of spectacular coastline views you will find yourself in the middle of the country's oldest city. The Daytona International Speedway is twenty minutes away, and Disney World, Universal Theme Parks, and NASA/ Cape Canaveral are close enough for easy day trips.
