Cozy Camper Under The Stars

This Camping Experience with our cozy RV is hosted on a 10 Acre wooded lot just 10 minutes from Rainbow Springs Park for Kayaking, fishing, tubing and site seeing!
The property is wooded and private but still allows for easy hiking through the many trails accessible to you and your pet(s)! The farm animals free roam in their own private fenced-in area located behind the main house. They can be fed anytime alongside the fence but please consult with host before entering to pet them.

The Camper is designed to sleep 6-8 people but you are more than welcome to bring a tent to accommodate additional guests. The master bedroom and bathroom is located at the front of the RV & has a queen sized bed. The Couch and Dinette both open up to sleep two small adults or children and there are two additional bunks in the rear. Pets are welcome but we ask that you do not leave them unattended inside the RV. There are two fire pits available, the one located behind the RV next to your Outdoor Shower is for your privacy.

But that's not all – we also offer a range of exciting extras to enhance your camping experience. Rent a Kayak or Paddle Boat to explore the area and crystal-clear waters of Rainbow Springs, or for a unique outdoor movie experience, we offer a projector screen with any movie of your choice - just imagine enjoying your favorite film under the stars! 🎥

Guests are welcome to gather fallen branches on the property for free to use as firewood during their stay. Alternatively, they can bring their own firewood or purchase a bundle from us at checkout to ensure they have everything they need for a wonderful camping trip. 🔥

If i could give less than one star i would. This place is not safe to stay the floor was about to fall in, it is not as clean as the pictures would have you to believe, and 2 of the beds would only fit a toddler if that. When we found the property unsafe we asked for our money back and were refused and we were blamed for wanting our money back. We sent the info to vrbo and still have not heard back about the complaint and that was a week ago.

Two of the beds that would only sleep a toddler. You cannot walk into this space.

Camper under the stars

Location was great, quiet. Fire pit and seating outdoors was plentiful. Loved hearing the chickens and turkey. Camper had seen better days. No key to lock up. Fridge/freezer & microwave ok. Very few dishes, no glasses, one pan, had to ask for towels. Host was very nice.

Misleading

The camper is very old. The images on the listing are outdated. The camper had a horrible smell. There was no toilet paper, no shower curtain and luckily we brought our own blankets because the bed didn't have a blanket. We froze all night. The kitchen floor felt like we were going to fall through. The water didn't get hot so we didn't shower. We ended up only staying one night when we paid for 2. We just couldn't stay another night. By no means are we picky or bougie people but it was def not as advertised. The owner was very nice but that's really the only positive thing I can say.

Just to be clear, we are experienced campers and have our own caravan/trailer so are used to small spaces etc. We booked this RV for the last week of our 3 week trip around Florida. On arrival we were totally disappointed and shocked by what we found. The RV was very much in need of a total overhall. Its old and it shows. The kitchen floor is very uneven, and feels like its going to collapse. The main oven didnt work and was filthy , no kettle, hardly any cutley or crockery. No working coffee machine. No towels or kitchen towels. AC was extremely loud. Bedding consisted of two worn out pillows, a saggy mattress and a duvet. Just small things like the clock not working, lights not working, overhead lighting with no covers on. Outside there was a bbq and fire pit, both had not been cleaned out fro the last use. Dirty outside furniture. We contacted Arcadio , who had not arrived to greet us, who promptly said the VRBO listing needed updating. Maybe this should have been done before we paid nearly $500 Arcadio then brought us some knives and forks, 2 towels some kitchen rags and the kettle and coffee pot from his own house! We expected more for our money. Property not as described but we were only offered $125 refund. Arcadio is a nice chap but he needs to up his game! The only positive thing I can find is that Lily the goat came to say hello, and its good to see them rescuing the animals !

Most pleasant!

Stayed for a few days with Arcadio and it was really nice! The unit was very clean and the a/c was working great. This is camping in a RV setup, so don’t be expecting your at home facilities. There is an excellent fridge, coffee pot ( drip Mr.Coffee type) running water, microwave, nice tv and stereo ( which you can use to increase the volume for the tv ) with recent movies you can watch on a thumb drive, or bring your own! ) Arcadia is a true gentleman, and he responds rather quickly to any concern you might have. We enjoyed this stay very much and the fact that this helps fund the family’s animal rescue efforts is a nice plus! The critters are nearby and quite cute! Mr. Rooster like to wake the sun about 4 am to get the party started! So book your stay here with an excellent host and a good cause! I’ll certainly be coming back and bringing others! Thanks Arcadio! Best of everything in your rescue work! I appreciate that greatly!

Some facts you might want to know in advance...

This is not an attempt to slam the host. I’m simply providing information, so you will be able to make a more-informed decision about staying here. Some details may have changed since posting. No running water for the toilet. A bottle of water is provided to pour in the toilet before and after using it. You refill it from a sink. No ventilation in the bathroom. The fan would not not turn on. No light in the bathroom, but Arcadio did provide a battery-operated light. Shower drain was clogged. Arcadio tried to unclog it twice. He issued a partial refund. We had to use the outdoor shower. There are gaps in the wood sides (old skids). Open side faces woods. Water is straight hot, so you have to adjust the tank temp before using, and wait for it to cool or heat. No adjusting during shower. Broken glass was on the ground by the shower. A/C didn’t cool enough during the day, but did cool at night. Water damage. Kitchen floor has soft spots. Vinyl flooring is curling up near the bunk beds. The trailer is not level. The kitchen seems more slanted than the bedroom. No key. Your door remains unlocked when away from the property. This is not positive or negative. Just facts. If nothing here bothers you, then you will enjoy this quiet peaceful setting in the country. Arcadio is helpful and prompt to reply. EV charging was at no cost (but check listing). It’s a Tesla wall charger that works with Tesla-to-J1772 adapters. This was a bonus, for us.

Stay away

The host was nice we called as we arrived a bit early asked to checkin early. Reply was after 1230, okay that was great. Arrived 15 or 20 minutes before and we waited outside while they finished The 5th wheel trail was older wasn't a problem. The lights didt work in bedroom or bathroom was told the light ouside bathroom should light bathroom ok. The hot water was almost nonexistent, the stove was horrible and the heat did not work. Needless to stayed the night and left one night into 2 night stay. Asked for partial refund as the place wasn't as advertised. Wa told no since we already checked in. Well my advice would be get a tent and stay at a better equipped campground. Wasn't looking for the Ritz hotel.

Great little camper and awesome host.

Our group came to swim with manatees. The camper was delightful. Chairs and firepit provided. We had a community karaoke night. When our host found out I was a Greenbay Packer fan he brought over his projector so I could watch the game on the big screen,add to that rescue animals. What an awesome weekend.

Heaven on earth!!!

We got there early and they were ready for us. Arcadio was so kind and attentive. We went exploring the town and our gps took us down a dirt road. We were doing fine until the dirt turned into very soft sand very quickly and our truck got stuck, like not moving an inch stuck. We called a tow company and they wanted to charge us $300 just to pull us out. I was not having that. Me and my family started to dig, we dug for an hour to no avail. I called our host to see if they knew someone in the area who might be able to pull us out. He said I got you and within 10 minutes he arrived where we were. He got on his hand and knees and started digging with us. He even used his personal vehicle to try and pull us out and one of his friends even came to help! He worked with us for 2 hours and we finally got out. My daughter is type 1 diabetic and stressful situations like this can greatly affect her sugar levels putting her life in danger. Going over and beyond like this literally saved my kids life. I can't write a better review. Arcadio made sure we got back to the property safe and sound. The animals are amazing, especially Wilbur the pig. My daughter absolutely loved feeding them. The camper was closer to the main house than we thought it would be but it didn't bother us at all. We had absolute privacy and it was very quiet which we loved. We did the movie under the stars and it was awesome. Everything met our expectations and it was so wonderful to get away and relax

We had such a great time! The ambiance was very relaxing. The animals were great! The hosts went above and beyond. He responded promptly and was there anytime we needed anything. The movie night was amazing around the fire. They offer so many extras that you can get from the big screen movie to pet sitting to getting your nails done! We we plan on returning on a regular basis. I highly recommend this place!

Girls weekend getaway

Communication was excellent. Arcadio always responded within 15 min. Camper is older but well loved & clean. It had everything we needed. Loved the outdoor fire pit. Had a fire each nite. The animals are fun & friendly & even Romeo (the resident pup) came to hang out each morning. Arcadio gave us food to go in & hand feed the animals each day. He is in the process of building his camp ground & has a very realistic vision. 2 campers & 3 primitive sites so far! It's peaceful & quiet - just what we needed to get away. Plenty to do nearby although we didn't venture out. We'll be back for sure & can't wait to see what he's done with the place! Thanks for having us!

Comfortable Outdoor Stay For Our Family!

We needed to stay in the area for a conference and wanted to bring the children along for the adventure. This was the perfect place! The grounds are tidy and the property owners seem to be adding to it and improving it daily. Our children loved playing in the nice sized playground with friendly farm animals. The owners even brought out a cup of food for the children to feed them. They helped get a fire going for us so we could do marshmallows too. The camper was clean and had what we needed to control temperature, get ready and make some quick meals. We have multiple food allergies, so when we travel we have to be able to make meals. The camper kitchen was equipped with a few pans and a pot and utensils that I was able to easily find what we needed and cook. There are so many beds packed into it too! The large mattress was very comfy. Kids had no complaints on the bunks and on the fold down table-to-bed. It's not a new camper, it's well loved and it's in a rural area. Those looking for a luxury stay should probably look for a luxury price to meet their desires. For us, we were grateful for a budget-friendly, super comfy and safe place to stay! This was comfortable and met every need, and we loved the quiet, peaceful location and the added family/couple fun of the animals and fire! The owners were also very responsive and kind, even to a text in the evening when we found we had forgotten to bring something for our family for bedtime, and they took care of us! The area felt safe and we felt comfortable letting our children play outside and explore; even driving in at night from the conference they had the drive lit all the way to the camper so it was safe and easy to navigate. There are some things that the owners are doing to continue improving their accommodations and we look forward to visiting again and seeing all they make of their space!

Not as Represented

This camper was not as Represented in a video that was sent to me. It was not level. The floor has apparent water damage and it was severely discolored by the bathroom/bedroom. The windows were dirty. The ceiling was buckled in places with a large gash in one spot. I was totally disappointed and did not stay there. Still waiting on my refund.

One night stand

The unit was clean, appliances good, actually spic and spam clean and ready! However I took a shower in a tiny tub shower, water did not drain and it was orange. No drinking water available. The unit was not level and the floor is ready to give way at anytime, For me the windows need curtains. The host was wonderful and caring The animals were fun to be around. Arcadia was thoughtful he just needs to finish the unit up and I would be happy to try it again!!

Bring your boat or trailer! There is plenty of room to park on our 10 acre wooded property. We are less than 10 minutes away from rainbow springs park for kayaking, fishing or hiking. On the property there are several trails you can walk, also farm animals to view and pet through your stay! Oh, and don't forget to ask about a movie under the stars!
