Great place to stay

We enjoyed the stay. The house has a nice view of the ocean through the houses lining the beach. The layout of the house was great for the family to enjoy days playing games in the big open room. We brought our 10 pound Bichon with us. Highly recommend.

Beach Access

The house was great! Lot’s of perks, comfy beds, nice rooms for adults, decent pots, pans, dishes, & glasses. Bathrooms were sufficient. Lots of private property signs that potentially limit beach access. We lucked out and several beachfront houses were vacant when we were there. Bring a golf cart if you have one, you might need it to access the beach. There is no public parking at the public beach access.

Beware

Upon arrival on Saturday we called from the beach ( on hold 20 -30 minutes) and explained the downstairs room was not habitable due to the the overwhelming chemical smell. When they finally answered, they said a manager would be there within an hour to assess and then advise if they had a different property for us to move too. So we left the beach after being there for 30 minutes. No one showed. Called again, held 30 more minutes, they said they had no record of us calling and she would call right back. Not a word. This is advertised as a 6 bedroom property - 2 people were to use the basement room. Instead, they had to sleep in common areas on coaches. This not what we paid for. Fast forward to Thursday night, historic record high for gulf shores. Air conditioner breaks. Our party has an 80 year old women and a 8 month pregnant women.called, held 30 minutes / person said the would check and call right back. 1 hour, no call. Called again, waited 30 minutes, thus person said would be on urgent list and given the issues we have had we would be compensated and would call back within 30 minutes. No call back after an hour. Called a 3rd time, waited 30 more minutes, Alex tried to help but took 20 minutes on the phone on hold after that only to hear he would call back. We also tried all the local numbers that funneled to Chris but no call back. The hvac guy did come at 10 or so and fixed it. The issue was a ridiculously clogged filter and a bad condenser ( likely caused by the clogged filter. Appears to be a maintenance neglect issue. Another entire evening wasted at $1000 plus a day! Finally, in accessing wether anyone could tolerate the downstairs room, a 140 pound adult sat on the end of the bed and it immediately snapped off. It is apparent No ONE has ever slept in this bed. 1/3 of the bed cantilevers out supported by 3 cabinet size hinges with 3/4” tiny screws and no support. The screws would provide neatly no pull out strength and the point load at the end of the bed would not support any significant weight.

Sibling Trip

Got to spend quality time with my wife, brother, two sisters and their spouses in a very relaxed setting. Still love Fort Morgan, but for me, it has lost some magic since we first went about 40 years ago, primarily due to overcrowding.

2022 Family Vacation

Beautiful house with a GREAT pool addition but because this listing is new with only one review I wanted to share feedback that I hope the owner/property managers will consider. (1) The listing says each bedroom has a private bath and yes I should have realized the # of bathrooms doesn't add up but was disappointed when we had 6 adults sharing one bathroom on the main level. (2) There was only 1 blanket available in the whole house for guests who prefer something a bit heavier on the bed to sleep (3) The bathroom towels are tiny, wished I had taken a picture to show you because they look like they are for small children and low quality (4) There are no beach chairs available on the property and while I missed that detail on the listing I have never rented a property near the ocean in this price range with no beach chairs. (5) The lower level was unusable because smelled like mold. The humidifier was full and not running so my husband emptied it hoping it would help but it did not. (6) The mattresses upstairs and in the lower level are not fitting for anyone other than small children because they are thin and not super sturdy....my 13 year old girls said they felt like hospital beds. Again, the house is nice in a good location but the above factors would have really made our experience in this rental much more enjoyable .

Fantastic house! Quiet and peaceful!

Loved everything about the house and the area. Only negative was it was listed as beach front. it was across the road from the beach with houses in front of it. There was access to the beach a half mile away.

Very nice property. Private pool was nice. Peaceful and quiet. All of the little amenities and furnishings we're great. Beds were very comfortable. Only negative was it was listed as beach front. In reality it was across the road from the beach and there was not a public walkway to the beach close. Very nice property though!
