Simple place good for a quick getaway. The price was great- but the place could use some updates. The view and balcony are wonderful. You get a good view of the ocean and sunrise. Super convenient to the elevator!
Nothing in this condo has been updated in several years. 40 year old bathrooms and 30 year old kitchen. All the furniture is either very old or badly stained whichâŠ.. matches the carpet!
The worse is that it faces the ocean but you canât see how the screens. They are in such disrepair that the management company had to tape the window closed!
Itâs a mess. Move on. Many other much better options.
The view was beautiful. There was no toilet paper or paper towels so we had to run to Food lion, which was near by.They also charge a 40.00 linen fee,so I took my own sheets, but linens also include an extra blanket which I didn't have and towels ,which luckily I had some to go to the beach. Luckily I also brought my own soap and shampoo and laundry detergent.I tried to cook pancakes, but the pots and pans were absolutely terrible,so we had pancake bits, even though I sprayed the bottom with cooking spray, which I got at food lion because there was absolutely nothing there, not even a teabag. When the ceiling fan runs in the bedroom the blinds were clacking, which was annoying. This was my first time staying at a rental, next time I will just stay at a hotel ,at least they will have towels.
The apartment It's located at a great location but it's very outdated, other than new carpet and new couch it's like walking into your great grandma's apartment. Looks like the owner just want to collect the rent but doesn't invest anything in the apartment. The blinds are broken with missing piece, the windows and sliding doors are hard to open and they are not sealed properly so you can hear all the traffic on the main road. The bathrooms are from the 1800s... Even the coffe maker it's outdated and how much dies it cost a new nice coffe maker? The apartment has potential but it needs a lot to be upgraded. Anyway, you get what you pay for
My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the location of this property. You can see the ocean while sitting at the dining room table. The balcony was quite large. While sitting on it we could see the ocean to the right and watched the sunset to the left.
The property has new carpeting. There were a few minor things that could use some improvement, but overall it was a very nice place to stay.
We were pleasantly surprised that this condo was so nice! The furniture was super clean and new looking. It had a bath and 1/2 - which was very nice! The living/dining/kitchen area was open so it seemed spacious and was full of light. It is an end unit with a large window in the dining area. Right next to the elevator so very convenient!
Husband and I stayed over for a long weekend to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The condo was less expensive than any decent hotel, and was adorable! It was a corner unit, so not only had a side balcony to see the ocean, but a beautiful view out of the the room... right beside the dining room table. The 1 1/2 bathrooms came in handy too!! 2 nice-sized tvâs, a well-stocked kitchen and cozy bed. The living room couch was really sunken in, so we didnât use it at allâ- that was the only thing wrong with the condo. Thank goodness that I read the review about the hot water valve being under the kitchen sink... we wouldâve never found it to get hot waterâ so thank you!! Easy access to and from beach, and car parking was close to unit from steps and elevator. If you need a bed for any more than 2 people, take an air mattress. The place is very cute and very affordable!! Looking forward to another long weekend away with my honey... weâd definitely stay here again!!
We enjoyed our trip but this place does not sleep four. It sleeps two. I went with my parents planning to sleep on the pull out couch. It was filthy and sunken in. You couldn't even sit on the couch to watch TV. Other than terrible/old/stained living room furniture I couldn't complain. The place was clean (except the stained couch) just old. The rental company did offer to bring me an air mattress. After three nights in my makeshift bed (folded mattress with couch cushions on top) I probably should have taken it. I will say we were glad to find a last minute place close to the beach.
This is my first time using HomeAway and here are my thoughts:
1. Parking. We arrive to the complex and realized we needed a parking pass that was not included in our welcome packet. We called the emergency line and someone answered and recommended us to put something in writing that would signal the tow truck company to not to my car, which I thought was odd. They finally managed to get our car information so they could contact the towing company and let them know that we were good to go.
2. Hot water heater dilemma. We'd been trying to shower and all we got was ice cold water. We called and they said all we needed to do was turn the hot water valve on. We checked and it was on and still no hot water. Then we called the property management again the next day and told them there wasn't hot water. I was put in contact with someone who knew more about the apartment situation and told me that the hot water valve was under the kitchen sink. After struggling to open the hot water valve, I realized that this was not the culprit, but there was a switch underneath the sink that actually turns on the hot water.
The bottom line is that someone should've met with us to give us a parking pass since the towing could've gone wrong and could've possibly have my car towed, but luckily it wasn't towed and the hot water issue shouldn't of been an issue to begin with since someone could've checked this the day of, or the day before to ensure that all was good to go before our arrival.
