Was very clean. Some updating of cupboards like paint peeling and loose cupboards could be fixed. CO2 detector kept going off and we couldn’t reach anyone at Vacasa so fire dept came to help. Overall we really enjoyed our stay!!

We enjoyed the space in the apartment and being near the beach easy walking distance The criticism we would say is a fact no one told us there was building behind us they weren’t noisy, but the view we anticipated was no longer there if we had been across the road overlooking the golf course or the pool would’ve been a better position

Lovely condo

We’ve stayed in Hilton Head a lot because we have family in town. This was a good property. Similar to all the other rentals, the various things you need to run a house are hit or miss, but they had most things. The interior had much more light than most of the places we’ve stayed, which definitely helps us enjoy a beachier feel. It could use some updates for aesthetic, but that didn’t bother us. We were excited to find a few beach & pool accessories on the back patio in a storage closet. We’ve used Vacasa before without trouble, but this time we hit a few snags checking in and settling into the unit. Be advised, as of June 2025 there is considerable construction behind the property. (A large home or clubhouse and an apartment building are being built.) It was not too noisy. The house has good doors and windows, leaving it pretty peaceful even with a lot of outdoor noise. But you cannot walk across Folly Field Rd from your condo to get to the beach. The whole area behind the condos is blocked off for construction. You cannot walk across get to Folly Field by walking back toward the front of the complex a bit, adding around 5 minutes to a slow walk with kids and beach gear. Doing so, Islanders is your closest beach entrance. You can drive there instead. Plenty of parking, but they do charge for it. We walked there for our beach days and enjoyed being close to lifeguards, rinse off stations, and bathrooms. Might stay here again, now that we know the ins and outs of the property, but not thoroughly convinced.

Enjoyed Our Stay, But

This unit worked well for our stay. We have stayed in this community before. The quiet pool and hot tub was only about a 2 or 3 minute walk and the amazing beach about 10 minutes. The community is usually quiet and very friendly. The unit has three large bedrooms, each with their own bathroom - I would actually say two of the bedrooms were more like master bedrooms. The living area was nice and recently updated and the kitchen was fine. I would recommend staying here depending on your expectations. It was clear that the owner had not been here in a while and the management company was not keeping up with the details. The unit was clean. The kitchen was not well stocked and very hodge podge with extra "clutter". This was the case with the back patio. The table was old, there was a storage unit on the back patio filled with beach stuff and it was overflowing and the items were old and rusty - not useable. It was not a nice place to sit and relax. There were a lot of details that I noticed that made it clear that some real attention needed to be paid to this place. I was also frustrated with Vacasa. Any time I contacted them for information about the unit before I arrived they just told me exaclty what was already on the description. And when they did give an answer about questions that were not in the description they were wrong. They were also slow in responding when our key pad battery died.

Learning experience

The men in my family had an interesting time figuring out your "smart" kitchen. They thoroughly enjoyed their golfing week in your home. I am the one who selects the home for the boys and I was disappointed that the grill was not "a shared grill" outside the unit. If there is something pictured that is no longer available, could you just remove the picture and the information about it. They did use the grill near the pool but that was not as convenient as having their own.

Condo at Port Royal was Royal

We took our family and teen friends to Hilton head for spring break. The condo was very spacious and clean. The setup was perfect. 3 bedrooms and 3 FULL baths was a gamechanger. No whining or complaining about space. The hot tub and pool amenities were perfect for the kids. The only down side for us was that it is on the opposite side of the island to Coligny beach (no fault to the owner, can't change location) so to bike there was about 45min but the car ride there was only 15min. Other that that this rental gets 5 stars from us. Thank you.
