What seemed like a great getaway to a location we'd never been to turned out to be a bit of a nightmare. I was aware of the size of our room. I was made aware, after speaking to many of the people staying in the condo, how over priced this room was. Its a room that is attached to the main unit and if someone is staying in the main you will hear everything they do. If you have loud neighbours, plan on not getting any sleep. The price of this bachelor pad of a room is only a few hundred dollars difference from having an entire, fully furnished unit. I say fully furnished as I was left NOTHING to clean up with. I had to hound Panhandle getaways to get a broom and dust pan. Issues that needed to be addressed as well were burnt out light bulbs (no bulbs left for myself to change), the toilet hissed 24/7, the sink would not drain properly, and each tap had a black slime film over them. They would make work orders for the problems but not have a clue when someone would be there and would fail to show up for days before someone would walk into our room without announcement. I requested they call before showing up and this was ignored. They wanted us to try and fix the toilet ourselves and ignored the sink draining issue. There was only a pan to cook with on a single top electric burner, no utensils to use with the pan. In the listing it states "all the conveniences of home" well I'm not sure who's home doesn't have anything to cook with, no way of doing laundry, had nothing for cleaning up, etc. Our neighbours in the full unit, which was also ran by panhandle, had everything from a vacuum to cleaning supplies to a full kitchen with a washer and dryer. All the actual conveniences of home. The photos and the description are incredibly misleading. You do not get a grill to use unless you consider the charcoal grills in the parking garage. The full unit comes with a electric grill. On top of all this it was 20km/hr winds everyday so we felt trapped in this small room, the food and amenities around are tourist pricing, be prepared to spend the same amount on feeding yourself as you did on the unit. Rip currents on the beach everyday with people being pulled out every week. Also, the roads are under construction everywhere with major potholes and sink holes, be careful as it will damage your vehicle. I will not be returning to Panama City Beach, and if for some reason I did I would never go through panhandle getaways again. Huge mistake.
