Our Homely Space is located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in Elstow, which is the home of John Bunyan (author of 'Pilgrim's Progress). The Elstow Retreat is close to the centre of Bedford and its amenities, perfect for visiting groups (businesses, families, or relocation guests) in the Bedford area. Also suitable for smaller groups of 4 to 5 guests

***All our Homely Spaces come with freshly-laundered linen. We also provide complimentary toiletries for you to get started with your stay. After you get settled in, you can then purchase whatever you need from the variety of local shops, which are a walking distance away from The Elstow Retreat.
Essentials provided: towels, bed linen, soap, and toilet rolls.

KITCHEN:
The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, a dryer, a microwave, two fridge-freezers, cooking utensils, pans and pots, dishes and silverware, a large 6-ring hob, a double oven, a toaster, and a coffee maker.

PARKING:
There is free parking on the premises and ample off-street parking. There is also paid parking on nearby streets around The Elstow Retreat.

We offer discounts on bookings of over 15 nights, so if you will be in the area for a long term, please drop us a message

Please note that you will be required to follow a self check-in process upon arrival. Homely Spaces will contact you with your access code on the day of your arrival.

Guests can access all areas of the house except the locked linen closet in the house and the locked garage and lean-to at the back of the building.

Homely Spaces The Elstow Retreat is off the A6 (Ampthill Road), which provides easy access to the A1, M1, Luton, Cambridge and Milton Keynes via the A421 - Bedford Bypass. There is a regular bus service from the town centre to Cranfield University and the X5 is a regular bus service to Oxford and Cambridge

Drivers:
There is free parking on the premises and ample off-street parking. There is also paid parking on nearby streets around The Elstow Retreat.

Buses:
Buses frequent the village of Elstow. The Ampthill Road also has bus stops on either side of the road.

Trains:
Bedford St John’s train station is about a 15- minute walk away on Ampthill Road. The station provides services into London - an approximately 37-minute-long train journey.

Other services:
If you have an account, Uber rides are easily available. However, if you need one, you can also get a taxi from Bedford Taxis Fastline (01234 811811) who are located at Ashburnham Rd, Bedford MK40 1DS http://www.bedfordtaxis-fastline.co.uk/.

With Milton Keynes about 19 miles, Northampton 30 miles, Oxford and Cambridge 52 miles and 31 miles away respectively - commuting from The Elstow Retreat is easy!
