Situated at the end of private driveway this upmarket lodge offers expansive views of Lake Taupo. It is surrounded by large private gardens with abundant bird life and walking paths. Guests will have the 1 hectare property to themselves.
Spacious bedroom with amazing lake view and en-suite bathroom. Bedroom is fitted with a king size bed and small fridge.
Large open plan living area is equipped with air conditioning / heat pump and wood burner.
Fully equipped kitchen with gas hob, electric oven and dishwasher.
Expansive outdoor area offers several places for relaxation and extends to a large private garden. Property offers multiple opportunities for relaxation: no TV or internet is provided. Yoga mats are available.
Guests are welcome to use new Hot Spring hot spa. In house private chef service is available.
Swimming beach in Pukawa is within walking distance or short drive.
Property manager lives in the nearby house and can provide information about the area. Cleaning and linen services are provided.

Beautiful views...

Manager was so helpful, stay was peaceful, private and amazing views. Only real grizxle was the King bed that was made up of two single mattresses that you fell into the gsp. Did make for a good sleep.

Lovely views, no curtains

Modern, warm, and clean with lovely kitchen, spa, and lakeview but house is a bit odd with no curtains anywhere including bedrooms which can be looked into from the lounge area, no wifi and a VERY firm bed. Fortunately it is secluded!

Beautiful view

Exceptional location and view. Spacious and open room and lounge living and kitchen. Bed is a bit hard and has separate mattresses but the view from it is awesome. That’s picking holes in what is a truly exceptional stay. Highly recommend and would love to return next time we’re in Taupo.

Fabulous view of Lake Taupo!

What a great destination - we loved the privacy and enjoyed sitting in the hot tub at night watching the stars. Great view of Lake Taupo, the city lights are on the other side of the lake, so we could easily see the Milky Way and other stars in the night sky.The property had a large kitchen, living room and bedroom. Everything was clean and well appointed. The property doesn’t have Wi-Fi but it did have excellent mobile service. We also enjoyed walking the grounds and met the neighbor, who is also the caretaker of the property and they were very nice.Great destination to rest and relax!

View of Lake Taupo stay

Lovely views, Quiet location. Apart from a minor glitch checking in, which the host responded to promptly, our stay was lovely. Place was spotlessly clean. Unit had everything we needed. Shower pressure was great. Bed wasnt a king as described but two twin mattress pushed together on a king frame.. Mattress was so firm it was uncomfortable.

The listing does not do the location justice. It is quiet an private, with amazing views. The house is well appointed and has everything you need for a quiet break.

Ideal Getaway Location

Wonderful environment to get way and relax or base your ski/MTB/hike adventure from. Beautiful park gardens, native bush & birds, awesome vista of lake Lake Taupo from the home and spa. What more could you want?

Truly amazing

We arrived in the rain and we were hit by the “wow” factor, the house was everything we expected and more, open and spacious, amazing views and what can best be described as our own botanical gardens. It was a place that you did not want to leave.

We had a lovely stay for two nights. The spa especially was lovely on a rainy NYE while watching fireworks. A beautiful view and so peaceful.

Such an idyllic location … no close neighbours, no television, not even curtains! Just the most beautiful view and heavenly spa to soak in, after a couple of days day tripping the Central Plateau and all that it has to offer. Thank you so much 🙏

Great views, serene setting

Great place to stay if you need a peaceful getaway and time to switch off. Fantastic views, great fire. Bed could be upgraded to make this a more comfortable and romantic stay & recommend packing a blue tooth speaker of the like for some background noise.

We had a lovely stay. The views are gorgeous and can’t be missed as there are windows everywhere. Hot tub is very nice. Home is very spacious. Firm bed.

The most beautiful sunrise and sunsets

This spacious home had the most beautiful sunrise and sunsets and gorgeous gardens surrounding the home that we could walk around. The view of the lake is stunning we could look out over it from the hot tub. After the sun set, we could enjoy the fire, which was just so relaxing. It is a bit remote, but with that, you get tranquility and peace. Absolutely worth it. We were willing to drive, so we could still explore the national parks in the surrounding area. Communication was also great. We extended our stay twice at the last minute as our plans changed and they were so accommodating.

Tranquil Lake View Retreat

I took a 3 night stay at this lodge with partner and was completely stoked with the quiet and the lake view. The lodge has a lot of pros on top such as ample wood supply for the fire burner, huge garden with fresh fruit to wonder through, hot tub with a view, spacious rooms, private location, great value, well stocked kitchen and the property manager Max looked after us too. The cons of the property would be minor, my recommendation would be some curtains in the bedroom to allow sleep in if guests in the future wished to do this. We loved this stay and will be back again if we are so lucky to have the opportunity to do so, Thank you guys!

Not a luxury stay

- Bedroom had queen bed fitted with two over sized single bed mattress.The mattress and pillows were hard and uncomfortable.The mattres kept on sliding out of the bed frame creating a gap in between.Advised the prpoperty manager to change it and they go 'some couple like the gap between' lol - got bitten by flees/bed bug ,property manager turned up (without prior calling) with a magnifying glass to find the bugs and offered to changed.We both were enjoying the afternoon nap and have to get up and deal with it. - 2nd day of stay property manager turns up (without prior calling) with a lawn mower guy asking for lawn mowing for some time as the weather was good.Lawn mowing lasted for 3 hrs.All our videos to enjoy the good weather and location has lawn mowing noise at back ground.There are no blinds on windows for couple to enjoy the privacy. - half of the property was locked not stated would have been good if it was advised to us. Overall the view is good however out of all the bach we stayed this year this one was over priced and poor service and very uncomfortable.We felt there was no privacy.
