This Bach has everything you need for a great family holiday and beautiful views of the lake. There is access below to the Omori boat ramp and beach with pontoon. Loved our stay.
We used the bach as a base to do the Tongariro Crossing, and enjoy a relaxing morning to celebrate a 50th birthday. Views of and 1min walk access to the lake were blissful. We loved the old-style bach with everything we needed, including a well-stocked kitchen, and lovely outdoor table and chairs to enjoy the sunshine and view. Would definitely come back here. Be aware that sound travels through then internal walls so if you have early risers mixed with late risers, put the late risers in the rooms that don't share a wall with kitchen!
Lovely spot on the south end of lake Taupo, great jump off for adventures on the central plateau. The house is a classic kiwi batch with everything you need to be warm and comfortable. Will be back for sure.
An older homely Bach. Easy living with all that we needed, great location and would definitely like to come back. Plenty to look at on the Lake and lovely neighbours.
We had a wonderful time at this property. Perfectly positioned near the water with expansive lake views, this bach has everything you need and a boat ramp just a short walk away. Highly recommend !
We had an awesome stay. The property hosted our large family with lots of space to spread out. The view from the deck is amazing and we had lots of sunshine and summer breeze. A short walk to the jetty and lake if you wanted to go for a swim. The closest grocery store is in Turangi which is 12 mins away so I suggest you stop there first.
A fantastic location had everything we needed. The owner was very helpful and easy to reach. The view was spectacular, close to the best restaurants in Turangi, Floating Rock Cafe, Lakehouse Restaurant and Oreti Restaurant all worth a visit. The hot pools are just up the road, and the snow is only an hour or so away. Turangi is a short drive away, about 20 minutes. I have stayed in Turangi twice, which is how we found Kuratau, beats Turangi hands down :-)
Cool place just not clean.
Piss and pubes on toilet seat.
Mouse shit everywhere.
Oven had cheese all melted in it.
Bread crumbs all over side bed dressers
This was a fantastic place to stay with an amazing panoramic view of Lake Taupo. Our kids loved having a large public green space right in front of the house to play. We stayed in Autumn and the heating in the house was good for the size of the property.
It is a well loved family bach and feels that way. We feel that we have found a wee gem and with so many good things close by hotpools, great walks etc. we would love to go back one day.

The cottage is cosy, cute, charming and colourful. It has wonderful views of the Lake and its proximity to the Lake and Walkways is fantastic. It is well supplied to make the stay comfortable and practical and despite being in the main road, the road noise is minimal. Thanks
