We had a great experience and loved this spot. Perfect location to be close to everything but far enough from major tourist spots. Felt right at home with all the extra amenities. Shampoo, soap, q-tips, cotton balls and snacks in the kitchen. The a/c in both rooms was a great relief during the summer heat! Hostess even let us drop off our bags early which made it easy to enjoy the rest of our day sightseeing. 110% would stay again!!!
The host and her colleague are lovely, and were really flexible in responding to our international travel problems. They were easy to reach and helped us get settled. Thank you! The flat has a spacious living room, and bed room. The furniture is comfortable and clean. The only thing to consider is that the staircase leading to the flat and the staircase leading to the master bed might be too steep for elderly/challenged travelers. We recommend the flat 10/10 for young/stronger travelers. A great place to stay in walking distance of the Uffizi! Wonderful!
This is our second time staying at this location. Comfortable and clean. It has a few quirks (like a very very very VERY narrow spiral staircase to get into the apartment and tricky locks on the series of entrance doors) but these things are normal in Florence. We love Barbara! She is so helpful and makes sure everything is enjoyable throughout the stay. HIGHLY recommend. Canât wait to return.
The apartment was very spacious and comfortable for our family of 2 adults and 2 teenage daughters. It had everything we needed for our stay and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the big shower! The only downside was the street noise from the bedroom, though Barbara supplied ear plugs. The second night we just closed the window and turned up the fan and slept very well. Barbara was a great host. Very easy to communicate with and very friendly and helpful upon arrival. She gave us many great recommendations for places to eat, supermarket, etc. Great place to stay overall!
This was my first visit to Firenze. I felt lucky to stay at Piazza dei Mozzi for six nights in May 2018. It was very convenient to all the major attractions such as Ponte Vecchio (less than five minutes) and Piazzale Michelangelo (seven minutes walking).
Inside the castle apartment is very spacious and can easily accomodate five. This week the temperatures soared to the mid to upper 80s, but the thick castle walls kept the entire apartment cool. Throughout the place is modern and you will find an updated kitchen and shower. Plenty of restaurants and nightlife await you on this side of Arno.
With four doors to bypass you will feel absolutely safe and secure staying here. I wish I could have stayed another week; I hope I am lucky enough to visit Firenze again along with a repeat stay at Piazza dei Mozzi.
Fino Al prossimo incontro, Barbara!
"Every year I take my mum on one or two trips away and this time I chose Florence. I found this apartment on Homelidays and booked for a week. The deposit was paid using Paypal which was quick and easy, and the balance on arrival. The apartment is carved out of the mezzanine level of a 500 year old tower and is perfect for a vacation home. You enter the main door of the building, through a second door then up a small spiral staircase as seen in one of the photos. The Apartment itself is very clean and tidy with a small kitchen leading to a very nice bathroom with big shower.
The best thing about this place is the location, there is an excellent museum opposite, and it is 500 metres to the Ponte Vecchio, 550 metres to the Uffizi Galleries and the Santa Croce. All these distances were checked with Google Maps. It takes 30 seconds to reach the river and four minutes to the Ponte Vecchio or Uffizi Galleries. The other very good thing about this apartment is the closeness of shops, cafes and restaurants. There is a small supermarket 3 mins away in Via del Renai which is open from 9am to 10pm and stocks all the basics. If you cross the Ponte Vecchio coming home you will walk past the Conad Supermarket which sells everything you could possibly want. There is also a good range of restaurants on this side of the river. We went to Gusta Pizza twice and Osteria Antica Mescita San NiccolĂČ three times. The Osteria San Niccolo was a three minute walk away and served beautiful and reasonably priced food, also Zeb Gastronamia was opposite the Osteria SN.
Mother and I had an excellent holiday and I would recommend this apartment to small groups and anyone else who wants to be close to the galleries without spending a fortune. Barbara is an excellent host who met us on our arrival."
the apartment is located in the center of everything but at the same time in a very quite area , the mixtures of renaissance style and the modern recently renovated details with the sober decorations make this place elegant and cozy at the same time, you will feel welcome the moment you will cross the main door, B. is Just Fantastic, we scheduled our arrivals for 19.00 h but due to a huge accident on the highway she waited patiently for us until 23.30, being extremely friendly and always available for any request. i will definitely will go back to BÂŽs place.
"Apartamento muy bien situado, cercano al centro histĂłrico y con un encantador toque antiguo, aunque reformado. Reune todo lo necesario para una estancia confortable. La propietaria es encantadora, y estĂĄ muy pendiente de cualquier cosa que se pueda necesitar."
