Disponible par Luxury Beach Rentals, South Wind Resort est situé au cœur du Grand Strand dans une section de plage très familiale. Cette suite penthouse de 4 chambres au 15ème étage est en bord de mer et offre des vues spectaculaires sur l'Atlantique bleu. Ce condo offre une chambre principale en bord de mer avec lit king et accès à l'énorme balcon enveloppant en bord de mer. La salle de bain principale offre des comptoirs en granit, des vanités doubles, une grande baignoire jacuzzi, une douche séparée et un dressing ainsi que du carrelage. La deuxième chambre offre un lit king, la troisième chambre offre un lit queen et la quatrième chambre offre deux lits queen. Les autres caractéristiques comprennent des téléviseurs à écran plat, une laveuse et une sécheuse pleine grandeur et une cuisine entièrement équipée avec des comptoirs en granit, ce condo crée un séjour spacieux et spacieux pour vous et vos invités. Les activités sur place comprennent le complexe de piscines intérieure et extérieure qui comprend une rivière paresseuse, 2 piscines, 4 bains à remous et une pataugeoire pour enfants donnant sur la plage ainsi qu'un centre de remise en forme et une pelouse de bronzage.

Large clean space but needs new beds!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved the size of the space and the amenities of the building. The only negative were the beds. They were very uncomfortable. Soft, noisy when rolling over to the point of waking you up. I would stay again if I new they upgraded their mattresses!

Beautiful view, apartment needs update

The view was amazing. Best part of the stay, no matter the hour of day. The apartment itself, is in need of a thorough cleaning. Tile floors were dirty in need of a very thorough scrubbing. I would also suggest an upgrade to mattresses, living room carpet and sofa. The view overshadowed our concerns, but would only rebook with upgrades as stated.

Wonderful beach spot

Our group of 8 had a wonderful time here. The condo is spacious and comfortable. The wrap around porch is lovely and has a great view. The multiple pools were a huge hit with the kids in our crew. A couple of restaurants walkable and others a quick drive. Definitely recommend!

Great Location

The property was clean and served well for a group of 8 in 4 separate bedrooms. The beach is at your doorstep. The pools were clean, but hot tub jets weren't working. Lots of excellent restaurants within minutes, as well as access to central Myrtle Beach via Ocean Blvd.

Great location, floor plan and balcony very nice.

Condition needs work. Tile floor dirty...needs good steam clean. Lots of mold in master shower. Bath fixtures falling off wall and ceiling.

Great Penthouse at a great price

Reviewer Comments: We really enjoyed staying in PH1. The size of the unit is great and all the items you need. The oversize balcony was really great. The only complaint we have is the indoor pool was not "indoor" since all of the glass had been removed from the windows surrounding the room. Our kids were excited to use the pool, but with no glass and no heat in the pool, they were not able to swim. Wish we would have been made aware of this. Other than that, this is a great place.

First visit

This was our first time staying on this property and have to say that it is lovely. The pools and lazy river are adequately sized and we're not crowded during the entirety of our stay. The unit fit our needs well for the week. I was surprised to find that there were no curtains on the living room windows. We had an issue during the stay where the dryer died early in the week, but the management and the owner had the dryer replaced by the end of the week, so only a minor inconvenience. The shower in the master suite wasn't very well cleaned upon check-in (there was hair on the wall) and there were cleaning towels on one of the beds that had been used for cleaning. Other than that, there were no issues with our stay. We will strongly consider this property again for our next trip to the beach!

We needed one more parking pass so I called the rental agency and was told all I had to do was to call down and it would be brought to our unit. I talked with an employee and was told they could not provide one since we did not rent directly from them. However, we were told we could make our own and give it to our guest to place on her dash. We were very disappointed that so many items were lacking in the kitchen. There was not even a potholder! The dining chairs needed some of the seats replaced because they had sunk in and were uncomfortable. The bed skirt in the master bedroom had torn away from the bed. In general, this unit needs some attention to it’s furnishings. We really enjoyed the wrap around balcony and the the view. We also enjoyed the pool, lazy river , hot tub and access to the beach.

It was spacious, great location and many of the comforts of home (i.e., comfortable bedding; and entertainment).Unfortunately, some items need attention: Kitchen:Cookware - Frying pans stick, stove top scratched up, utensils/ dishes outdated - not matching - items piled up and stuffed in cabinets - out of sorts - no system / neatness. Sink stopper doesn’t hold water, faucet broken and leaks, ice maker not working properly (couple days to replenish ice). Spots on tile around kitchen / living room floor.Living room: Furniture- couch springs seem to be gone - sits very low; pillows could use fluffing/ cleaning/ replacing.Window Treatments: No curtains or blinds in living room no room darkeners in any room - doesn’t allow sleep-in mornings - too much light.Several TV remotes missing battery covers.Carpet in hallway cut-up / snagged. Walls: drywall cracks and peeling , nails sticking out of the wall, smudges and spots / scratches on walls and molding at several door entrance ways.Master Bathroom across from kitchen: toilet flush valve bad - constant running noise; stopper broke in first sink.First Bathroom down the hall: Bulb missing; rust around owners closet (maybe water damage/leak) -unsightly. Last Bedroom at end of hallway: sliding door difficult to open-maybe off track. Overall my stay was okay but much more was expected; no glimmer and glamour compared to past vacation condo rentals. The pad locks and sticky notes on owners doors was a bit unsightly and unnerving as well. Renovation and maintenance upkeep would definitely make this condo a winner.

Penthouse #1....cockroaches and constant cigar smell!

We have stayed at Southwind 3 different times. Always liked it in the past. This stay in penthouse #1 was a Joke. We couldn't use the balcony from midday through the entire evening. The cigarette and cigar smoke from Penthouse #2 was disgusting. This is a smoke free facility....including balconies! We contacted the management (useless....they aren't on-site). We got a call back from the rental company that takes care of the VRBO. The gentleman said they would take care of it. Haha, the owners in Penthouse #2 smoked even MORE! Remember, you are a renter......other owners could care less if they follow the rules. We couldn't even open the sliding door to the balcony in the evening without our room filling up with cigar smoke. Such a great environment for children..... NOT! Finally on the 4th night we noticed the owners in penthouse #2 left. Finally some clean air! Yet we still couldn't enjoy the balcony from all the cockroaches. The women were grossed out at the guys having to kill 3 to 4 cockroaches every 5 minutes. Never had that problem before in the past. The worst part was the cockroaches in the room. Every morning we killed at least 2 to 3 in the condo. I hope the heck we didn't bring some home with us. Why didn't I call and complain? They already played their hand. They got my $$$$ up front. They could care less about my stay, proved it with the constant smoking. My advice if you have children and care about what they are exposed to....look elsewhere. We won't be back ever again. I can say that the place is spacious and we still made the best of the situation. But to rent a penthouse and not being able to use an oceanfront balcony? That's a joke! Stay away from penthouse #1 Owners rule the roost here at Southwind....guests are peons!

It was okay…. Very rundown penthouse.

Beds were awful with springs coming out of the mattresses. The beds squeaked with any movement. The neighbors smoked ALOT. Anytime you go out to enjoy the view, you just smell smoke! Also very poorly stocked unit. Hardly any extra blankets. The patio furniture is so worn that we all were scared to sit as we might fall through. The location and views were great!
