Cette belle maison du lac est un favori de la famille depuis de nombreuses années. Cherokee a été rénové et mis à jour pour une sensation de maison de lac moderne et parfaite. Cette maison va dormir 12 confortablement. Il dispose de 3 chambres à coucher, mezzanine et canapé convertible au sous-sol, salle de jeux, 3 salles de bain compl��tes, 2 salles de bain et demi, grand plan d'étage ouvert, plafond voûté. Cherokee a une très belle grande cuisine lumineuse, beaucoup d’espace de travail et tous les équipements dont vous avez besoin pour cuisiner. Il y a un Keurig, alors apportez vos saveurs préférées. La maison dispose également d'une belle salle à manger / salon lumineux avec télévision à écran plat au deuxième niveau, télévision par câble, DVD, cheminée à bois confortable pour profiter des mois d'hiver, des ponts pour profiter du magnifique lever du soleil ou vous as le ciel étoilé. Autres commodités: barbecue au gaz, joli bain à remous couvert et confortable, sous-sol aménagé avec table de ping-pong et jeux de société. Il y a une belle vue sur Eagle Creek et un joli anneau de feu pour les petits feux de camp pour que votre famille s’mores. Il n'y a pas de parking pour bateaux dans cet établissement. À quelques minutes de l'ouragan Marina (appelez la marina pour la location de bordereaux de bateau), du Centre d'artisanat des Appalaches, Canoe the Caney Adventures et I-40. Les animaux domestiques doivent être approuvés par notre direction de chalet et ne doivent pas dépasser 20 livres. Wonderful Getaway for Family

Fishing tour

The property was perfect fro a group of kayak anglers visiting the area to fish the World Championships. Only a short drive from the lake made for easy launches and the house was perfect to relax in after a day on the water.

The pictures posted do not represent the home as we found it. The good: layout, kitchen, loft, fireplace, location. The bad: hot tub (no filter, water was disgusting, cover bracket broken), two sliding doors to outside decks did not work, carpets dirty, pool table (bumpers were shot/warped, balls different sizes, missing balls), general cleanliness poor.Due to the hot tub and door issues alone, I feel we should be due a refund of some amount. We cleaned the large coffee table in the living room because it was sticky and had food particles stuck to it. After I used the hot tub, I had to take TWO showers to get rid of the smell on my body. The doors are security issues that need to be addressed immediately. I propped a mop in the upper level door to provide some kind of security.Previous review posts were answered with something like, "we wish you notified us about the issues so we could address them". The issues we had should have never been experienced by us. They should have been fixed BEFORE we arrived.

we live near nashville and work from home having the option to vacate our normal lives for a few days without driving far was a plus and then how beautiful it all was touched us all!! best break we have had in a while!!!

Lovely, Quiet Retreat

We had a lovely long weekend here. No problems at all! Lots of space for our family to come together from three different states. Lots of stairs but we loved all the deck space. Quiet and private with a lovely view of the lake and woods.

Holiday Celebration

Unable to utilize basement with the pool table and ping pong table, because of the broken window covered with a blanket and was too chilly to be in the room. Hot tub was I inviting and not used. Needed to be cleaned Size of the house was nice for our group

Great men’s getaway weekend

We were just minutes from the marina where we rented a boat. Cabin is secluded back in the woods and kept the deck nice and cool all day.

Weekend away

I only stayed one night because the door’s deadbolt to the master bedroom was not working. Only the knob would lock. There were also two pit bulls next door and the owner didn’t have them on leashes. I have a small dog and one of them started to run to us barking.

Beautiful Spot

We loved the cabin itself, beautiful with great amenities. Things I wish I had noted more carefully before arriving were that, although that it is close to the water, this is definitely not a waterfront property and you cannot expect to easily to access the lake. Also, the neighbors are all in very close proximity and we could easily see/hear others near us. Finally, the road to this property is very steep and windy. We drive a Dually truck and some of the switchbacks required 3 point turns.

House was clean and ready to use. Some of the most comfortable beds I’ve experienced from a rental!

Check in was a breeze and we had no issues with any of the process. House was very clean and super comfortable beds. The 4 levels of the home really makes it feel like you have more than 3 bedrooms! The basement and loft can be used as separate bedrooms. The water got really hot so be careful there! Be aware that the road the house is on is not boat friendly. Take your boat to the marina before heading to the house!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I wanted a nice long weekend away to relax and that's just what we got. It was off season so no one was around and it was so peaceful and quiet. The house was perfect, it was large for the 2 of us but that was just fine with us. There were a bunch of games to play, a pool table and hot tub which gave us some things to do. We would definitely book this home especially with other people to enjoy.

Reviewer Comments: We looked far and wide to find this house and it was as great as advertised. The kitchen is well supplied, the location is perfect, the woods gorgeous, the furniture comfortable and nice! Only disappointing features were the pool table and grill. The pool table, which was one special feature we wanted, has two serious ridges in the table where the slate has shifted. And the grill needs some maintenance and parts. We will stay again next year if we can be sure the pool table has been repaired.

Less than expected.

For being a premier host and highly rated for cleanliness, we were less than impressed. Mold on shower curtains... carpet needed cleaned... great views obscured by dirty windows... game room had no darts for dartboard and pool table had no bounce off of bumpers... most every wall and some ceilings need paint... called ahead of time and asked about road going in and felt mislead... had there been rain or snow some of inclines would not have been manageable without 4wd on the single lane road. Positives: Kitchen was best/newest room of house. Beds were comfortable. Views from decks were beautiful. Despite nearby houses, it was usually quiet and peaceful.

The freezer was perfect but the fridge side was barely cool. it worked out but I thought the owner would want to know. DIshwasher worked fine but it is making serious noise. may want to take a look at this. WE loved it thank you so much! The amount of towels was perfect. Washer dryer were awesome.

Thanksgiving Family Gathering

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time spending Thanksgiving with our daughters, son-in-laws and 4 teen grandkids. The chalet kitchen was fully stocked to cook an entire meal with nice glass dinnerware, utensils and glasses to dress the table. As well as the bathrooms had plenty of towels, soaps. We spent many hours playing pool and darts. However, there was no ping-pong table available. The chalet was clean. However, the place did have heavy smell of burning wood from the fireplace. Once we removed the charred damp wood, the smell started to disperse. The sleeping accommodations and comfort of beds were good. Jennifer and Jessica were very personable and helpful as to activities in the area. I would recommend this chalet to large groups as there is plenty of space. Parking can accommodate 3 vehicles. Sunsets and sunrises were gorgeous.

Nice Overall, Needs a little TLC

Our stay at Cherokee Hideaway was good for the most part but not without issues. We were able to find it pretty easy using Apple maps but they also provided good directions as well. It was ready for check at 3pm as described. We had 2 SUVs and the parking was big enough for both. Unfortunately as soon as we arrived I did a walk around and noticed there was a leak from the 1st floor down to the basement. We arrived on a Sunday so i called the maintenance number and they asked if I could help diagnose the issue and it seemed to be isolated to one bathroom. So we decided he could come in the morning and we would not use that bathroom that night. He came the next day but after trying a few things it still was not quite fixed. So he had to come back again another day. We were out most of the time he was there so it wasn't a huge inconvenience but it made the stay a little less enjoyable especially considering we had a couple staying down in the basement. Speaking of that, the "sofa sleeper" in the basement is a foam cushion fold out couch and is very low to the floor. They were young and made it work but it was also pretty cold down there compared to the rest of the cabin and we ended up getting them a space heater. Just a heads up if you plan on anyone staying down there in the winter. The rooms on the other floors were as advertised and pretty nice overall. The kitchen had newer appliances and fully stocked with everything you would need which made our stay for Thanksgiving go a bit smoother. Plenty room for 11 of us to spread out as well. The porches were really nice and some of our guests really enjoyed the hot tub. The pool table bumpers are no longer useful and the seams from the slate pieces affected the ball. We brought darts for the dart board but they wouldn't work on the board thats in there and there weren't any there to use either. The firepit area outside was nice with plenty stumps to sit on. Not sure if they can do anything about the windows in the living area but they seem cloudy which kind of spoiled the view from inside. There was plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed eating at Twisted Oaks which is only minutes away. We made a trip to Nashville, hiked at Burgess Falls, and took a tour at Cumberland Caverns. My family's favorite was Harmony Lane Farm and Creamery. Again, we enjoyed our stay overall and they did address the plumbing issues while we were there. A little TLC and this place would more than worth the cost.
