Elbows Inn is one of the oldest historic homes in Rockaway, OR. It has a great ocean view to enjoy the tremendous energy of the ocean and witness the splendor of the Pacific. It features a rustic feel and a beautiful interior ready for visitors. You'll love this house and come back often. You'll find everything you need here. Elbow's Inn was built for the guests who appreciate a no-frills, classic beach cabin. Walk across the quiet street right onto the beach.

The main bedroom features ocean views. Downstairs is an open main floor with a well-appointed kitchen, dining area, living room, large windows, and deck. You'll find plenty of room for family and friends.

This home brings with it a bit of the past and gives you a feel for the early days when visitors came by train from Portland to the beach.

THINGS TO KNOW
There is no air-conditioning available.
The full kitchen does not have a dishwasher
This home has no ground-floor bedrooms.
The stairs may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues.
This home will have a seasonal gas grill that is generally available from May through September, depending on inclement weather.
Parking is in the lot across the road from the house.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

This proved to be an excellent spot for our annual family beach vacation! Quiet beach and good kitchen facilities. We made some tasty dishes, and the proximity to the other towns allowed us to have since fun day trips and sample the delectable seafood.

The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. There were ants in the kitchen and the cupboards were not clean. The stairs are at a steep incline and we're not easy to climb. But the view was beautiful.

Road trip Bradfords 2025

We loved the location since we we doing little trips during the day amazing sunsets the house had everything we needed it’s a little outdated but we aren’t really looking for that but anyone with mobility issues would have a difficult time since there are stairs but the upstairs main bedroom had a lovely little view of the ocean!

This was our first view of the ocean just steps away from the house

Fabulous beach house

My kids and I stayed here for three nights and it was an amazing trip! The beach is right there, you have great views from the living room and central bedroom and you can hear the ocean from all the bedrooms. There is no dishwasher but it wasn't detrimental to our trip. The house is well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, there's a coffee machine and microwave. We absolutely loved staying here and are looking forward to returning as soon as possible!

Cozy little house! Great location!!

Very comfy beds!! They were working on the house across the street at 7:30am. It wasn’t that big a deal because it got us out of bed early. Otherwise I would’ve stayed in bed and slept through my vacation. The location of the house was great! The quaint little town of Rockaway Beach is just up the road to the south. Kelly’s Brighton Marina, is 5 minutes up the road to the north. You can rent crab boats and catch dinner. We went twice. Great place to find purple varnish clams too. The beach is right across the street where you can catch surf perch. I got 3 fish in my first 2 casts. My goal was to harvest “the trifecta”, clams crabs & fish. I got that checked off my bucket list.

Great Family Beach Getaway

The lived-in character of Elbow's Inn was just the kind of place we were looking for for our family vacation. Being north of Rockaway Beach also meant we could enjoy a quieter stretch of beach, but it was fun when the train went by in the evening! We made some fun meals in the kitchen and the bedrooms were all cozy. From Elbow's Inn, we made trips out to Tillamook, Bay City, Garibaldi, Manzanita, and Wheeler, all presenting their unique charms and plenty of exceptional seafood. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quaint spot to rest and relax.

Perfect Beach Cottage

Okay folks, let's break this down. We loved this rental so much! Very short walk to a beautiful, uncrowded beach (just across the little road in front of the cottage. Rockaway is a very cute little town. The deck: great size, beautiful view, has a grill, bench and picnic table. We brought our beach chairs and Sat comfortably out there. Kitchen: well stocked and clean. Dining room/living room: great table for playing games or eating. Couches were roomy and comfortable. Small TV and wood burning stove (which we didn't use). Bathrooms: clean, good size. The towels were luxurious and smelled wonderful. Friends, if you like strong water pressure, this is the place for you! I came out every day with a brand new skin! We were also pleasantly surprised with having shower gel, shampoo and conditioner dispensers in the showers. Downstairs bathroom is more rustic, the upstairs bathroom has been updated. Bedrooms: clean, comfortable beds. The middle bedroom is the biggest with the best view and you can hear the ocean and waves with the windows open. Dreamy. Not very many electrical outlets, so if you have things that plug in or charge, bring a couple 6 way outlets. The carpet is very stained. That's the only issue we had with the cottage. It didn't smell bad, just had so many stains. Rockaway is an adorable town. Visit R & R Coffee for great coffee and super great baristas! We also loved Grumpy's bakery counter for amazing pastries in the morning. Sand Dollar restaurant was delicious and has a great view.

Not too bad

Place is pretty run down but has plenty of space for what we were wanting. Cleaning service does a good job for what they have to work with. Was able to have a good comfortable time. On the fence on whether I would stay here again.

Relaxing Vaca

Wonderful coastal cabin located in a quiet neighborhood. The rooms and living space were comfortable and had adequate space. Everything was extremely clean and there was no musty smell even though it’s an older cabin. It was a rainy, windy weekend but the huge windows provided great scenery. Beach access is easy with a small path that isn’t steep right across the street. We brought our dog and she thoroughly enjoyed the space. There was easy access to a hose to wash her off and space for her to lay out on the floor. Even with a high wind warning the house stayed very warm and there were no drafts in the windows. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

Winter stay

This house has many qualities that make it a great place to stay. Being so near to the beach is a definite plus. It's wonderful to look out of the windows and see the waves crashing on the shore. Also, the area is quiet which creates a very relaxed feeling. For us, the fact that we could have three dogs was the main reason we stayed here. The cleaning crew did a good job of cleaning the cabin, but it really needed a deep cleaning done. The inside of the cabinets were greasy and the containers that held the silverware had dirt in them. We not only washed all of the silverware, but we washed the drawer out as well. One of the diningroom chairs was falling apart which was not noticeable until someone sat on it. When we contacted the office about our issues, they responded in a timely manner and were very courteous. Overall, we had a good time.

Easy Beach Access

This trip was mainly to expose our oldest granddaughter (3) to her first experience with the beach and ocean. It was almost overload for her but we survived. From looking for creatures, running on the beach and flying kites our stay was so much fun.

Great location

This cozy cabin is in a great location directly across a gravel road from the beach. It is rather dated and two of the bedrooms and the kitchen are small. The kitchen has no dishwasher either. But we weren’t on the coast for luxury accommodations, we were there for the beach!

Wonderful

Although this house is older, the decor is cute and the house has a cozy feel. The sofas and beds were very comfortable. The views of the ocean are amazing and access to the beach is just a few feet from the house. The only thing I'll mention is that the kitchen really is very small. We adjusted our food prep routine and made it work. We loved it. We'll be back.
