Embrace the creative essence, hand-selected art, and tranquility for your mind that our weary spirits long for while making yourself at home in our well-curated cottage. Each and every space has been carefully thought out to bring you joy, comfort, and an elevated experience. From the upgraded bed mattresses and linens to the ultra soft plush towels provided, we have your coziness and comfort top of mind. This 3-bed, 2-bath home is located in the heart of Mentone. A sidewalk is just across the street for walking to the adorable Mentone village. If you love spending time in our gorgeous eclectic town, but don't want to spend time driving in the car to get there, this is the perfect place for you. Settle in to our 1,100 sq ft quaint and cozy cottage, complete with a newly renovated kitchen, new bathroom, and authentic eclectic décor. Explore Desoto Falls, Downtown, or the National Preserve then come back to recharge at our refuge for the soul.

There is one security camera viewing patio entry door for monitoring deliveries.

A very comfortable cottage in a great location. The bed that was so comfortable and the large showerhead with great water pressure were two of the things that made this stay amazing. The people in this little town are the sweetest. I would highly recommend staying here.
A cute restaurant with good food.
The leaves were just starting to turn.

Great visit to Mentone. The Mountain Shanty was perfect for our stay. DeSoto Park was great. Most stores in Mentone were not open until Thursday but had no problem entertaining ourselves at the state park.

Charming cottage in great location

This 3BR house is quaint in a good way. It has plenty of personal touches with updated kitchen and baths. Location is convenient to everything we wanted to see and do.

Nice weekend trip

We had a wonderful weekend exploring Mentone and Ft Payne. Not a whole lot to do but the DeSoto state park and waterfalls were close by and a few little shops . Not much to eat in the area . Everything closed between lunch and dinner so only specific times to eat out but it was a nice scenic drive to just explore and take a nice ride around . The cottage was very easy to find .

Perfect House

It is the absolute perfect getaway! Very cute and spacious house completely redone on the inside! We loved everything about it. Walking distance to restaurants in Mentone. We will definitely be going back!

Girls Weekend Getaway!

We enjoyed the cottage so much. The bedrooms were very spacious. The kitchen was very open with lots of cabinet space. We enjoyed the close proximity to everything. The property was perfection. We will definitely be back.

Great spot in town!

Beautiful home, even bigger in person, pics don’t do it justice. Wish there was a fire pit but otherwise great spot right in middle of town of Mentone. Host is very responsive & helpful.

Great girls trip

This was the perfect spot for a girls trip. Bedrooms were spacious and the decor was perfect. The kitchen was well stocked and perfect for our needs. Bathrooms were cleaned and stocked well too. Overall a great destination and we look forward to staying again.

Cozy Cottage

My family and I stayed at this cottage for a family vacation. The house was clean and newly renovated. New decor and bedding. All beds were extremely comfortable. The host was easy to communicate with!The website does list the home as “no pets allowed” and the owner actually does allow pets. Also, the house is next to a busy road with lots of road noise but other than that
 we really enjoyed our stay! Would recommend!

Comfy Cottage

No issues. The cottage was super clean and well equipped with just about anything a traveler would need. Plenty of towels. Showers were nice and hot, water pressure great. Check in was simple. Communications with owner were good. Recommended.

Mentone Mountain Shanty was east to get to, and the beds slept great. Been coming to Mentone for several years and love this small friendly town. Good places to eat and love shopping in Fort Payne.

The Shanty is great!

We loved the Mentone Mountain Shanty! The cottage is so very comfortable and cozy! It was perfect for the two of us. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable! The kitchen and dining area are huge. And it’s convenient to the town of Mentone. We highly recommend it!

Perfect retreat

The house was perfect, clean and well stocked. I didn't have purchase anything, example: toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags. The owner did a very good job in ensuring that our needs were met. It was super clean and quiet. I needed a getaway, and this met all my expectations. Perfect place to unwind. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
