COMMUNICATIONS PRIOR TO YOUR STAY AT THE MENTONE "REST EASY" My property manager Susan Collins will contact you prior to your arrival with access instructions. Access to the cabin is via a lockbox on the front door which Susan will provide the code a few days prior to heading up to Mentone. Additionally, all access instructions, driving directions, places to eat and visit in and around the Mentone area, information about what is available at the home so you can prepare for your stay in advance of heading to the Mentone "Rest Easy" is available via the VRBO Hospitality App. VRBO will email you an invite you to download the Mobile App so you can easily view this information on your smart phone if you choose, shortly after your reservation request has been accepted. CANCELLATION POLICY - 100% refund of your reservation deposit if cancellation occurs 30 days or more before the start of the stay at the home - 50% refund of your reservation deposit and final payment + 100% refund of your security deposit if cancellation occurs within 14 days before the start of the stay at the home - 25% refund of your reservation deposit and final payment + 100% refund of your security deposit if cancellation occurs within less than 14 days before the start of the stay at the home HOUSE RULES Smoking of cigarettes, cigars and use of illegal drugs of any kind is strictly prohibited inside the home or on the back screened-in porch. Smoking (cigarettes, cigars) is allowed on the premises, outdoors only. Please be a courteous guest and clean up your butts and place them in the trash bin outside or in a water bottle, etc. which can then be thrown in the trash. Failure to follow these rules will result in early departure from the home and a loss of your security deposit (no security deposit refund will be issued). COMMUNICATIONS WITH PROPERTY MANAGER TO ENSURE AN OUTSTANDING STAY FOR YOU AND OUR FUTURE GUESTS If you discover a light bulb out, a problem with the plumbing, bedding or any other noticeable damage, please bring this to Susan's attention. In order to qualify for a full 100% refund of your security deposit, these types of things must be brought to Susan attention before you checkout, not after we perform a "post checkout" inspection of the home. It is our recommendation that upon your arrival and check-in, you perform a complete walk through of the home and if you notice something you would view as a concern, please contact Susan at her cell phone: 256-997-5555 immediately to notify her of the findings you have encountered so she can come and inspect what you found. It is our goal to provide our guests with the most outstanding and relaxing stay possible but need to know if you encounter any issues during your stay so we can remedy those items for you and our future guests CHECK IN / CHECK OUT PROCEDURES Check-in is normally 4pm CST on the day of your arrival, however, if we don't have any guests checking out on the day of your arrival, you may be able to check-in earlier than 4pm (Verification with Susan is required). Check-out on day of departure is by 11am CST. If you would like to check out later than 11am CST on the day of your departure, please check with Susan to see if we have any other guests arriving later that same day. If not, a late check out may be possible. Prior to checking out of the Mentone "Rest Easy", please ensure you perform the following: 1.) Strip the sheets, pillow cases and linens on all beds used and place in the washing machine located in the half bath on the main floor 2) Place any dirty dishes in the dishwasher, load with dishwasher detergent (under the kitchen sink) and run the dishwasher. 3) Empty all trash cans, loose trash (boxes, soda cans, etc.) and place those in the the outside large trash bin. Please treat the home and take care of it like it were your own home and how you would like someone to care for your place if you had someone staying there. Our future guests would sincerely appreciate this and our guests prior to you visit are expected to treat the home with the same level of care. HOUSEKEEPING To ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and an outstanding stay experience for all our guests, the home is meticulously cleaned after each and every guest checks out of home. Freshly washed lines, bedding, towels, etc. are provided in preparation for the next set of guests. If you have reserved the home for a longer period of time (more than a couple of weeks/month) and would like to request additional housekeeping services to come in bi-weekly or monthly to freshen up the home, please contact my Property Manager Susan Collins to arrange for this. Our housekeeper is one of the very reasons we have managed to maintain such an exemplary rating on VRBO and they perform an outstanding service to help keep the premises and home in excellent condition for our guests. PAYMENT FOR YOUR UPCOMING STAY If you plan to make your final payment via a method other than VRBO/Homeaway, final payment is due 14 days prior to arrival; please coordinate this with Susan to get her mailing address. Failure to get your final payment to Susan at least 14 days prior to arrival could result in forfeiture of your reservation which would then be subject to our aforementioned Cancellation policy. If your final payment will be delayed, please call and notify Susan of this. ADDITIONAL GUEST FEES (When more than 4 guests will be staying at the home) If you are planning on booking more than 4 guests for use of the home, please note there will be an additional $25 cleaning fee added to the price of your reservation quote. If you fail to disclose the total number of persons during the booking process and our housekeeper determines more than 4 persons used the home during your stay, the additional $25 cleaning fee will be assessed and taken out of your security deposit refund (provided no additional damages are encountered other than normal use of the home in which case, additional monies may be deducted from your security deposit to cover repairs for damages). This cabin is very well taken care of. It was a great place to rest, and was close enough to the surrounding attractions.
Restful and relaxing. Quiet area. Played mexican dominos and marbles. Sit on back screen porch.
Liked all the WOOD in the home. Would recommend this vrbo for a quiet peaceful stay.
I would like to say a very big thank you to the owners for letting us stay in your home at Mentone ! Spent 5 days and 4 nights and I did not want to leave .. The house is BEAUTIFUL absoulty BEAUTIFUL ! The hose was very equipped with everything you could need ,everything was the best of the best !! 💕This will be my home away from home from now on ! We did not go anywhere just sat there and talked on the screened in porch and it was so PEACEFUL .. First time in 25 years that I got to roast marshmallows and hot dogs on a stick sitting out at the fire pit ..Don't even think twice about renting this ,you will love it !! Thank you so much for letting us share your home ..

We were there a a getaway and enjoyed being there.It was also close to town which was beautiful its self
