Large groups deserve grand spaces. Gather the entire family or sit down to enjoy a tête-à-tête. Game Room: Play poker, bumper pool, shuffleboard, foosball or board games. Exercise Room: Work off the big meal on a treadmill or relax with your favorite yoga pose. Living Room: play charades in the huge, community space. Media Room: Watch your favorite show under special lighting. Puzzle Nook: Enjoy peace, quiet and a puzzle in the out-of-the-way puzzle nook. Blue Sails' many specialty areas cater to family time or quiet interludes.

Cooking is a breeze with two fully-equipped kitchens. Everyone deserves a seat at mealtime, and Blue Sails' kitchen nook and adjacent dining room offer seating for all. Enjoy al fresco dining on the screened deck located just off the kitchen nook.

Family gatherings extend outside. The large deck extends across the home with access from the living room, kitchen and master bedroom. Half of the deck is screened and has a ceiling fan. The lower level patio offers a space for a bit of privacy. As you head down to the lake, you'll discover a fire pit.

“What about the water?” you say. You’ll find plenty of space to lounge on the expansive dock, complete with tiki bar. Walk in at the shore, but enjoy the deeper water from the end of the dock. Three kayaks offer you convenience to explore the cove or head out to the main lake. With two electric, covered boat lifts and a place for your jet ski, the dock has everything you need.

Take a look at the bedroom configuration. Your large group won’t be crammed together, and you won’t fight for the bathroom. The main floor features three king bedrooms, one queen bedroom and 2.5 baths. The “penthouse” includes a bath with shower and the room features one king and three twins . The lower level has a queen bedroom, a king bedroom, and a full bath. There's also a sofa bed in the media room.

Blue Sails is one of the few pet friendly homes at Lake Anna. We welcome a maximum of three dogs with a reasonable, non-refundable fee/pet/stay. VRBO will only add one pet fee, so if you want additional pets approved, you may pay outside of VRBO.

This is the sister home to the smaller (sleeps 8) Blue Skies at Lake Anna.

Annual Family Labor Day Getaway

This house was perfect for our family of 13 people, ages 2 to 70. We had plenty of room and it was unanimous, everyone in the family wants to make this home the place we will stay every year for our Labor Day Family Getaway! The house was very clean. Great week

The House was perfect for our family, very clean and tastefully decorated. However the property needs some work, tiki bar was full of yard debris, outdoor refrigerator needed cleaning, most of the chairs around the fire pit were broken and the grass had not been mowed. Hopefully all will be taken care of. We would rent this property again.

We went there with several friends and some of them had children. It was a fantastic house. Everyone had there own private rooms and there was more then enough space. I’m sure we will be back.

Gorgeous lakeside retreat!

This property was used for a corporate retreat. Wonderful location. Clean, and exactly as described. There was an issue with the AC upon check, during a warmer day but it was resolved the same day. Quick comms from Host.

A Very Nice Week at the Lake

Blue Sails is a large house with adequate space and nice amenities. The access to Lake Anna is very convenient and was great for our younger kids (age 4-10) to swim and float on tubes in the cove. The neighbors were pleasant and not loud despite it being the 4th of July. My kids also enjoyed using the kayaks from the house. The deck was spacious and provided plenty of room for sunbathing and they also had several nice chairs and a table on the deck. Since we had good weather, we didn’t take advantage of the game tables (billiards and shuffleboard). Nice features we didn’t expect were clean linens in separate labels bags for each bed) and enough dishes and silverware for 20 or more guests. The kitchen appliances were also very new and were well suited for our meals since we did a lot of cooking there. We also enjoyed the large sectional couches and chairs in the living room where all of us could gather at one time. The “penthouse” was spacious and fun for the kids.

This home had more space than we actually needed! It was very well furnished and clean. The kitchen had everything one needed for cooking and serving. We really enjoyed the black deck! We were too old to enjoy the other amenities!

Good boating

This was great place for the 2 boats brought by the families. The third floor "stage" was great for all the musicals put on by the younger members of our party. Lots of games and puzzles on ground floor to enjoy on the rainy day we had.

Great time on the lake

Extremely smoothe check in process Kate managed the property and was great. Answering all our questions before and during the stay. Property itself is large and fully equipped with all we needed, including dock where w head the boat. Clean with all the necessities. Altogether a great extended family vacation

Family friendly

Something for everyone. The little kids enjoyed running up and down the stairs to their own room. The older folks enjoyed having most things on the first floor so they did not have to go up the stairs. The location was lovely. Made for a wonderful stay.

Blue Sails at Lake Anna

We had a wonderful time at Blue Sails at Lake Anna. The property was perfect for our large group. The home was clean and ready for us at arrival. The property manager communicated with me from when we first rented the property up until we left. They provided great information all along the way that made our stay flow beautifully and seamlessly. Would definitely recommend this property and would love to return.

We had a great time

We're a group of friends and family who rented the property to spend Memorial Day weekend together. The house is nice and clean: many common areas, even a small gym, screened porch, nice bedrooms. The owner is very attentive and is easy to communicate with. We used the owner's kayaks to explore the lake. We had a great time. Thank you for hosting us.

Great for a Group

This house is even better than the pictures and has plenty of room for a big group. We especially enjoyed the large outdoor area right on the lake. Kate was so communicative and made the check in and check out process very easy. We are already trying to plan a return trip!

Fair Winds at Blue Sails

Wonderful! Blue Sails was better than the VRBO description. The accommodations were superb, everything we could have wanted in the appointments, and the view and kayaking were perfect. And The Owner was so helpful. She anticipated most of our questions, and provided immediate responses when we did. We will recommend Blue Sails to our Friends, and we plan to be back. GWB

Amazing get away spot for families if all sizes

Beautiful, spacious, well-equipped lake house

We had an amazing stay at Lake Anna Blue Sails. The house is enormous - even bigger than it looks in the pictures. We were there in winter during snow/ice so didn't do much on the lake, but the dock is right there with easy access. We'd love to be back during warmer weather! Pros: tons of space; gorgeous main room with a fireplace and plenty of seating for everyone; comfortable beds with soft linens and plush towels; well-equipped kitchen that even had good, sharp knives (only thing I'd suggest bringing is one or two extra sheet pans if you have a big crowd - there are three, but we could've used another); gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding trees; awesome game room with tons of board games; solid Wifi; grocer store less than 15 minutes away; garage with room for two cars to stay out of the elements; extremely attentive and caring host. Cons: my only real con is that the listing says that there's a hot tub, and there isn't. There's a large soaking tub in the master suite and a jetted bathtub in the basement, but no hot tub. Honestly we didn't miss the hot tub at all because we enjoyed the house so much, but it does seem like the listing should be accurate. We had very few issues during our stay, and Kate was always easily accessible and responsive if anything happened to come up. This house is even better than it seems. So glad we were able to spend a weekend there!

Welcome to Lake Anna! Mike was excited when his sister, Kate, and Steve talked about their vacation rental, Blue Skies at Lake Anna. Mike liked the idea and bought his own home, Lake Anna Blue Sails, which Kate and Steve host.

Mike lives in California. He's retired from the U.S. Army but still works. He has family scattered across the United States, so between his work and his family, he spends a lot of time in the air. You'll see Mike's signature on the Rental Agreement.

Steve and Kate will be your day-to-day contact. Questions, booking, concerns - talk to Kate. Anything that needs tightened up will be headed by Steve.

Lake Anna Blue Sails is an expansive home, perfect for large groups. While we want to be around everyone during the vacation, we sometimes need quiet time. Blue Sails has a room for everything and everyone. Between the water, games, exercise and media rooms, the kids will have so much to do. After they go to bed, the adults might get their turn.
