We love Hilton Head and this trip was no different. A nice location near the grocery stores and restaurants. Nice and quiet and the pool was only steps away
We were very pleased with the facility. It was clean and the staff at check in were professional and courteous. We really enjoyed the condo and it's unique floor plan. Thank you!
We loved our stay! The condo was very clean and had plenty of room for 3 people. My only complaint is that we asked the owners a few questions about getting an extra parking pass and about where items were in the condo but did not hear back from them.
We enjoyed our stay but we were disappointed that a nearby building was being repaired on the outside. The sawing and hammering went on from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. or later. The pool was lovely but it wasnât possible to enjoy as the noise was incessant. We just had bad timing with our rental.
Gorgeous condo in the perfect location. This place exceeded our expectations in every way. Cleanliness--perfect. Quality--stellar. Useful stuff in condo--everything was there, from kitchen gear, to laundry and dishwasher pods, to stereo, TV's. Temperature--easily adjustable with AC or Heat.
We never stayed in Hilton Head before, and chose this place because it was in Palmetto Dunes where there is the best Picleball on the island. It is near EVERYTHING. 10-15 minutes from the airport. Supermarket, whole foods, Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, shopping, restaurants--everything less than a mile. Beach is a short drive. Biking trails everywhere with bike rental place a 10-15 minute walk from the condo. I couldn't more highly recommend this place!
We had difficulty opening and locking the front door. We had to call the manager and eventually had someone come out because of the lack of adequate instructions. We also had difficulty with using the TV because of the lack of instructions. And we could not make coffee the first morning because there were no filters. All issues that could have easily been avoided by property manager rather than having an upset client. Amy from Vacassa ended up helping us and she was great
I enjoy staying at Palmetto Dunes and have stayed in just about every area of the resort over the past 15 years. I come multiple times a year. I would not have been pleased to pay full-price for this particular unit due to a lack of cleanliness and how dated it was, but the off-season price made it perfectly acceptable. There were not enough towels and the hot water heater is obviously set to a kid-friendly temp as it is just barely warm. (This was the case all 3 days.) The location is great. A short bike ride, walk or drive up to the private beach and Dune House.
Overall, this condo was mostly clean. Appliances have been updated. There was plenty of room for our family of 3. There were beach chairs which was nice. There were basic dishes and glasses. There were some things that have been noted in other reviews that have not been addressed. The garbage can foot pedal doesn't work. Its not a big deal, but thats maybe a $15 fix. The decor is dark and dated. It feels like an old lady's condo (& maybe it is?). It needs a good deep clean. There were dust bunnies everywhere. We did not hang out here alot. So it was fine for us. Vacasa was great to work with. I would not stay here again but I will definitely look into other Vacasa properties.
Vacasa never listed the name of their building on the instruction to find our condo only street address and we had never been to HHI we got lost and had to call to find out exactly where the office was, condo was nice and clean but they need to replace the coffee pot we had to go buy one to use because the one in condo was gross and contaminated, also shower bath combo was way to small for us, my husband is 6.6 and I am 5.9 just too small.
I will go back to Hilton Head but will use at a different condo.
Thank you
The unit was perfect for a couple plus adult daughter. Beyond the features we chose this unit because it was within walking distance of several restaurants and the arts center. The unit was clean and compact, comfortable and well-equipped for simple needs.
This condo was very clean and nicely furnished. We appreciated that there was a washer/dryer and laundry pods Great central location at the front of Palmetto Dunes. Parking spot close by and pool was next to the condo.
Only issues were confusing TV remotes and the light at patio at the front entrance
Was not working. It looked like a motion sensor. Hard to see the front door key pad to punch in the code.
Place was dated with broken/ poor functioning appliances and not completely cleaned. While the place initially appeared clean- closer inspection was concerning.
1) Shower has visible mold on ceiling, floor and tile. 2) Dryer requires multiple cycles to dry a small load.
3) coffee maker was not usable due to grime.
4) trash can was missing foot pedal. That was just annoying.
5) Side tables throughout home were not wiped and still had water rings on them.
6) The walls had a lot of food (?) smudges and there was three brown smudges above the towel rack in bathroom.
7) Outside furniture had trash stuffed underneath the dirty cushions (the cushions were all âbottomâ pieces as well). Grill cover was thrown on the ground.
These are simple fixes. Bleach, warm washcloth would have taken care of the grime. New trash can and coffee maker are $50.
I understand this is a rental and tenants do awful things to include stealing thus things are not top notch. We expect that. However, basic cleanliness and function was not met.
The apartment is on the first floor, corner. You will not be opening your blinds or the community will see into your home. You will hear people above you.
We never found the beach, there was zero direction how to access as a resident of St Andrews. I would like to know what 15 min walk/ 5 min
drive people advertised. Now, you can drive and park with your pass in another lot but risk getting cited and/or not having a code to beach gate.
And the candy that was left as a âwelcomeâ was covered in white film and tasted expired. Come on.
Hilton Head was fine. Go to Sea Pines.
