We have stayed at this property for ten years, it has become a second home for us. We are scheduled for 2025 as well. Clean, comfortable and not over the top. A modest property at a modest price in a great area. The neighborhood is well maintained and quiet.
We stayed in this property for 3 nights while our own unit in the same area was being painted. The townhouse is neat, clean and conveniently located for access to the Palmetto Dunes amenities, as well as to the rest of the island.
The property was in a quiet part of Palmetto Dunes. The condo is very outdated - it needs a renovation, deep cleaning (stained carpet and furniture), and minor repairs. Otherwise, it was fine for the price and location.
We stayed in the St. Andrews Commens section of Palmetto Dunes. This is an excellent location on the island and close to many attractions. This particular unit was comfortable but needs some work. There were light that were burned out and the A/C did not work well, leaving the unit hot in the late afternoon. We like to cook when we travel and were dismayed to find NO hot pads for the oven and minimal dish towels (1) and only 2 dishwasher pods for the entire week.
The condo was comfortable and quiet. The decor is outdated and needs some refreshing. The upstairs is difficult for children to get to if you have them on this trip. We did not use the upstairs as we were just a couple. The recliner in the living room is dirty and needs replacing. The kitchen cabinets need to be replaced as well. However, the bed and pillows are very comfortable as well as the couch. We would recommend this place but only give it a four due to the needed updates.
Washing machine and vacuum cleaner did not work. Upstairs loft was very humid and did not have lights. Several outlets did not work and had receptacles very lose and unsafe. Wasps prevented us from using the balconies. Management was rude ans unhelpful. Otherwise good :)
We love Palmetto Dunes, and we have a lovely view of the golf course from our balcony. The pool is just a two minute walk away, and the tennis club is just a 5 minute bike ride away.
I highly recommend St. Andrews Common!
We really enjoyed our stay. It was a little more dated than we thought and smelled very musty We had to purchase air fresheners to make it smell better. We wanted to open the windows to air it out and you could tell they hadnât been opened in a very long time. Some were basically stuck shut.
I just finished my eighth stay at this property and already reserved for the ninth. This villa is an older place but is well equipped, clean, comfortable, well maintained and quiet. The home sits just off of the George Fazio golf course in the central part of the island in Palmetto Dunes. The photos illustrating the villa are a true representation of the facility. I look forward to my 2023 visit.
I have stayed at this property for the past eight years and reserved for the ninth year. Although an older property, this villa is clean, comfortable, well maintained and meets all of my needs. The property is quiet in a private community located on the George Fazio Golf Course, centrally located in the Palmetto Dunes sub-division. The pictures of 1976 St. Andrews Commons are a true and accurate representation of the property. I am looking forward to my ninth year at the property in February 2023.
This was our 3rd visit to this condo, as expected, perfect. The owner maintains the property at a high standard. She called the condo on our arrival date just to make sure we were happy with the unit. Palmetto Dunes is the best plantation on the Island, centrally located and close to everything. Vacasa was very easy to work with and the local host was very professional. We had a bathroom sink that drained very slow, called the host and within an hour it was fixed. Superb.
