Mawnan is a charming one-bedroom retreat, ideal for singles, couples, or small families with up to two children under 10. Nestled in a row of six stylish, contemporary cottages just behind the historic stone courtyard of the original farm, Mawnan offers a bright, open-plan living space, a modern kitchen, and a cosy mezzanine bedroom upstairs. Thoughtfully equipped with modern comforts, this property promises a peaceful and relaxing escape in the picturesque Cornish countryside.

Mawnan's living area features a spacious, comfortable sofa, a coffee table, a TV, and a dining table, creating a perfect space to relax and unwind. The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, microwave, and washing machine for added convenience. The modern shower room is also located on the ground floor.

Upstairs, the mezzanine bedroom offers a luxurious king-sized bed, with additional pull-out beds and a travel cot available on request for up to two children under 10. A large picture window provides a stunning view of the stone courtyard. The property is also equipped with air conditioning for added comfort.

Guests can relax on the sunny front patio, featuring a quaint bistro table. Great place to stay, comfortable and stylish accommodation in a rural setting near to Falmouth

Would recommend any of the cottages in the converted farm complex. Comfortable, well equipped, stylish interiors with good parking in a rural setting just a short drive from Falmouth, Penryn and the Helford river. Booking trouble free.

A hidden gem

Just had a wonderful stay in Mawnan at Tresooth Cottages for our anniversary. Tresooth really is a hidden gem with fantastic facilities that we took full advantage of during our stay and so dog friendly. The management team are so friendly and helpful. Can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be returning soon.

Fantastic stay

We had a fantastic short 4 night stay at Tresooth Cottages. It was such a delight to find our cottage so well equipped, with all the small details thoughtfully considered. It’s in a quiet and peaceful location which we loved, with well maintained facilities and grounds. Everyone we met was a pleasure to deal with. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Tresooth Cottages and have already booked to return for longer!

Another Lovely Stay at Tresooth

2nd time staying at Tresooth Cottages and 2nd time staying in Mawnan. I highly recommend both the cottage and the site, very clean and modern accommodation (internally), well equipped, truly a home from home. The Tresooth site is fantastic, peaceful yet close to towns and amenities when needed, wonderful communal swimming pool, hot tubs and sauna, and games room. An excellent place, especially if you have young children.

An enjoyable and relaxing holiday experience.

Light, comfortable accommodation. Rural and peaceful without being remote. The site offers swimming, sauna, hot tubs and a games room that are all maintained to a very high standard. The complex is quite small and has a very comfortable and friendly feel. The staff are very friendly and approachable without being intrusive.

Tresooth Cottages was recently purchased by a group of friends, bringing together a combined 40 years of rental management and property development experience, plus expertise of being Airbnb Superhosts and VRBO Premier Partners in France, Spain and the USA. Our aim over the next two years is to upgrade the communal areas and each individual unit, employing modern design elements that remain sympathetic to the original Cornish buildings, while ensuring an excellent level of comfort and facility to our guests.

The group of five friends that recently purchased Tresooth are all British, but most of us have lived abroad for many years, developing our own individual property and rental businesses in France, Spain and the USA. Tresooth gave us the opportunity to pool all our knowledge and experience together back in our home country, as we focus our efforts towards this beautiful area of the UK. We are excited to bring our collective expertise to Tresooth, upgrading all the cottages and facilities over the next two years and offering guests a superior holiday experience.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

Located just outside the quaint village of Mawnan Smith, Tresooth Cottages are a ten minute drive from the bustling port town of Falmouth. With some of the UK’s best beaches, water sports galore, a harbour and a thriving restaurant scene, the Falmouth area is one of the UK’s most sought after holiday destinations.

The Cottages themselves are situated four miles outside of Falmouth on the road towards the famous Helford River estuary, and close to the picturesque Trebah Gardens. Excellent cycle routes, dog walks and beautiful rambling paths are on the doorstep, offering guests both convenience and tranquility; the perfect spot to enjoy this area of quintessential Cornish countryside.

With the communal areas offering a large swimming pool, two hot tubs, a sauna, a games room, children’s play area and pet friendly accommodation, the facilities are a step above many of the other holiday cottages in the area.

There are 16 individual cottages at Tresooth, ranging in size from one bedroom units sleeping two, up to a four bedroom unit sleeping eight. The majority of bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. Seven of the cottages are situated around the pretty central stone courtyard, with the remaining eight cottages to the rear or side of the courtyard area. Each cottage has its own outdoor seating area, and some have private hot tubs.
