Minimal supplies and not a good value
The building itself is a beautiful property, and the unit itself was clean. Our issue is that the price of the property was comparable to the others but with broken appliances and minimal supplies. The oven broke during our 2 month stay, and remained broken for 5 weeks. The owner didn’t fix it, and brought us a toaster oven three days before our departure. We rent the condos so we can prepare meals in our unit, but instead, paid much more out of pocket to eat out every night. In addition, there were literally only a few of each eating utensil. This is our third year and by far the worst property out of those 3 years. When we complained about the oven and lack of general living supplies (sheets, eating utensils, working appliances), the owner offered us a voucher for $300 off our next stay at that property! What a joke! We will never rent this unit again. There are plenty of other properties for the same price with generous and gracious owners who want to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
I appreciate taking the time to review, but I would like to address few things you mentioned in your review. This apartment came equipped with a full service for a comfortable stay of 4 guests and also had all working appliances . When the additional cutlery and toaster was requested , it’s was immediately provided . I am not sure how much baking one does in a vacation stay that the oven had to break. As you reported to me 10 days after your arrival that the oven broke , I immediately took action to fix the problem . Unfortunately I can not affect the time needed for the replacement of the broken part or the whole unit as it was a special order . You state in your comment , because the oven
broke , you could not cook in an apartment and were forced to go to restaurants every day .
This is not true, since you also had a stove and a microwave to prepare meals . I was gracious enough saying nothing and did not charge you for your relatives visitors with 3 kids staying overnight in the apartment without my permission. This not a party home , this is a vacation home for max 4 guests . I would like all my guests to feel welcome and enjoy their stay . I appreciate all the feedbacks and I always try to do my best to improve our guests experience/vacation . The oven was fixed, in addition the kitchen now has a new compact oven .
