Rénovée en 2017, cette charmante maison de plage est l'escapade parfaite pour tous. Nichée juste à côté de Lake Shore Drive, cette maison est située à l'arrêt 1 dans la magnifique plage de Sheridan!

Cette unité en duplex de style ranch comprend de nouveaux planchers de bois franc partout, une cuisine rénovée avec des comptoirs en quartz et un coin repas. Salle de bain rénovée avec baignoire et douche. La première chambre a 2 lits jumeaux, la deuxième chambre a 1 lit queen, toutes deux équipées de grands placards. Le salon comprend un canapé-lit pouvant accueillir 2 personnes. Laveuse et sécheuse dans l'unité, ainsi qu'un grand patio avec barbecue à gaz pour cuisiner. Un maximum de 3 places de parking sont autorisées.

Les attractions à proximité incluent Indiana Dunes Lakeshore avec équitation, natation, pêche et pique-nique. La plage voisine a un terrain de volley-ball ainsi que des toilettes publiques pratiques. Centre commercial Lighthouse Outlet à proximité, ainsi que des musées, le zoo de Washington Park, un parc aquatique extérieur, des casinos et de nombreux restaurants pour les familles et les occasions spéciales.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful time at this property for our Indiana Dunes vacation. The property was clean, the host was responsive and helpful; answering questions about how “childproof” the property was and approving us bringing whatever we needed to feel more secure with our two year old. The neighborhood was very walkable with the zoo, restaurants, parks etc. We walked to the beach several times as well and appreciated the wagon, umbrellas, chairs, toys and towels. We went on several hikes at the State and National Park areas and it was an easy drive. The house had shower supplies and a stocked kitchen. There was coffee, filters, k-cups and some spices already available. We were able to Instacart the rest of the needed groceries the same day as check-in. This was our first week-long getaway as a family of four and we had a great experience in Michigan City.

Nice location, but less than anticipated

The property is nice, but needs some TLC. Lots of little damage and disrepair. There was a lot of sand on the floor as soon as we arrived, so I had to vacuum. Also, there is a light at the back of the property that does NOT go off, and makes the second bedroom VERY bright all night long. Missing blinds and cheap "black out curtains" do a poor job making the room dark. Also, the washing machine is extremely noisy. Owner requires all towels be washed and dried before you leave, so make sure to start that process EARLY, as check out is at 10AM.

Enjoyable and Relaxing

We truly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked and the decor was very beach oriented which was fun. Loved the beach, enjoyed the lighthouse tour, the nearby zoo and shopping at the outlet mall.

Location, location, location!

Second time at this property. The location is great! The property is well stocked with the essentials and is a bright, cheery unit. Would definitely recommend for a small group looking for a beach getaway.

The property was exactly how it listed. Very clean and convenient. The unit had everything we could want or need. Location was perfect walking distance to the beach and zoo even for 2 toddlers. Nice, quiet neighborhood. We had a great relaxing time!

Great house and location, but firm beds

The place was cute and clean as described, and it was very close to the beach which we enjoyed a lot. However, after a long day of being in the sun and water, we couldn’t sleep very well because all the beds were very firm even for me who likes a firm mattress. Part of the check out process is to put the towels in the washer and dryer and we also had to take out the trash and strip the beds. Overall though, we enjoyed our stay!

Quick trip

The location was perfect for us. The walk to the beach was short. The place was comfortable and had what we needed for our stay. I was worried when we arrived as the front door was in need of some attention. It needs to be scrubbed and/or painted. I agree with other comments about washing the towels. I think that adds a little pressure to vacationers as they prepare for departure. I’ve never stayed anywhere that required that. Overall good place and the owner was very responsive.

This place was a perfect walk to the beach! It was super helpful to have beach items available for us to use such as a wagon, umbrella and chairs. The house was clean and simple.

Great location!

Overall we enjoyed our stay. Proximity to the beach was great. Owner provided beach chairs and a wagon to transport all of our stuff! We appreciated the little things such as body wash, shampoo and conditioner that was provided as well as plenty of paper towels, TP and cleaning suppliers. The only negatives...the mattresses were as hard as a rock and the couches were fairly uncomfortable. Simply replacing throw pillows on the couches might help. For what is charged to stay at this unit you might want to consider replacing the mattresses or adding pillow toppers. I would also suggest adding some type of drawers in the bedrooms.

We were traveling from NC for our grandchildren dance recital. They live in Valparaiso and we were able to spend time with them. The girls loved the house. Sand toys. And close walk to beach.

Perfect mother daughter girls trip

It was a cute clean house. They supplied soap along with shampoo and conditioner. Plenty of towels for showering and also for the beach. There was a coffee maker, a keurig, and a toaster. Pots, pans and utensils. Plates and cups of course. The beds were spring beds. They were firm but not too firm. The side deck was perfect for morning coffee or a meal. They also supply several beach chairs, an umbrella, and toys. We walked about a mile to the zoo. It was bigger than you’d think. The beach was a 5 minute walk. Close distance to restaurants. Definitely check out Harbor Country Adventures, Sea Rock Adventures. It’s a speed boat tour of the dunes and local history. Perfect for thrill seekers! It’s a mile away.

Nice place but not comfortable

Overall the apartment is nice enough with updated finishes but the couches were badly stained, the bedrooms were small and the mattresses/pillows were BAD. So thin and uncomfortable. We ended up driving the hour home on our last night instead of sleeping and leaving in the morning just to avoid another restless night. Think in hindsight it’s pricey for what it is. We also had to do a lot of required cleaning (take all trash out, wash and dry towels, strip beds) so not sure why the cleaning fee is as high as it is.

Property was clean and easy to find. Plenty of supplies (soaps, etc). Great communication with host. Short walk to beach. We were only here 2 nights, but we were comfortable and enjoyed our stay.

Great stay in October

Our first trip to Lake Michigan was a great and we enjoyed our stay. Duplex was clean and well maintained. Lots of towels. Appreciated the beach chairs and toys. Plenty of paper towels, clean up supplies, etc. Utensils and pots and pans were meh but not unexpected for a vacation rental. Nice appliances. We had a one year old new walker with us and this place was pretty babyproof. Appreciated that the canoe type bookcase was secured to wall and we used cushions to block off fireplace edges. Only suggestion would be to add a window covering on the glass of the main entry door. Michigan City was too cute. It was the off season so it was pretty quiet but this place is a great location to the park, beach, zoo, restaurants, brewery, and more. I guess the quickest way to the beach on foot would be via the park nextdoor--- we weren't exactly sure. We drove down most of the time because it was easier with baby and they weren't charging (offseason). The zoo is small but very cute. We enjoyed visiting the National Lakeshore, Zorn Brewery, Lakeshore Coffee Shop, and Royale Burgers. We had a delivery of groceries from Wal-Mart delivered on our first night which worked out perfectly. Thanks!
