beautiful cosy place to stay

What an amazing place! Beautiful clean apartment and so nice to have free fruit bread and butter - yummy! Overall a place we would love to stay at again if we are travelling down that way.

Booked as close to function we were attending. Basic summary info states Queen bed, but arrived to a water bed that was not plugged in or turned on so freezing cold to get into and had to put clothes on to be able to lay in bed without shivering, which was not great wearing jeans and jumpers and socks to bed.. I was unable to sleep as have serious back injury/ condition which a soft bed aggravats my condition so info needs to specify water bed in summary / initial details of room and property not just Queen bed but Queen water bed.. Shower was unusable as turned both taps on full and lucky to get a dribble , luckily a family member stayed in room onsite so went in there to shower. Towels were very small and well used/thin..

Hippies bad trip

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very unhappy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It certainly was an experience! If you're into a retro acid trip style of adventure then this is for you but never us again. It was a very cold winter's night so we left the water bed's heating on when we went out for tea and should have left the TV and heating too. There was no slit system just a small heater that didn't put out much heat and the TV needed some password so even with help we still couldn't watch good old free to air TV. When we tried to return after tea, it was pitch black, the road has no street lights, there was no light at the drive way and the only sign indicating the name of the lodge was part way up the drive way, in the dark. It was extremely dangerous finding the right drive off a single lane road near the crest of the hill. After finally arriving again we found the water bed was still cold and only one cup for a cup of anything hot. We were so cold we slept above the satin sheets under two dubious old blankets and were happy to leave in the morning as soon as could.

Interesting Weekend at Silvan

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: OMG what a shocker, Initial info read well before booking, pictures are accurate. Communication good and access fine, requested early check in without hassles it was approved.Basic room info states Queen bed, arrived to a water bed that was not listed in info about property, I finally found it in some tiny writing away from basic details. It should be listed in room info, Queen water bed not just Queen bed.. Water bed was not turned on so was freezing cold, October in Dandenongs overnight was 4 deg and during the day about 14 deg, so we had to plug it in and turn it on which I am unsure if it was even working. We had to sleep fully clothed so as not to continue shiverring from the freezing cold water under us, no spare blankets in room to use as bottom sheet to help improve warmth factor. I have serious back injury and could not sleep in the bed, tried to sleep on couch but as no other blankets was freezing so laid in bed to at least keep chill off me fully clothed.Sunday morning went to use shower and was lucky to get a dribble out of it with both hot and cold taps on full, it was unusable and my husband had a wash at the basin. Luckily a family member booked another unit onsite and I used the shower in there unit. The towels supplied were smelly / stale , very small and thin, the store room was left open and we found a decent size towel that was in better condition so I used that after my shower. Adequate parking onsite.Would not book this room again, family in other units had normal beds, functioning showers but had same issue with Towels.

Very Basic

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very basic room with bed and ensuite. Nowhere to sit, no soundproofing to upstairs units, and no access to the property (instructions basically said to stay in your room). Reasonable accommodation if you only need somewhere to sleep for the night.
