Welcome to Tutt Hut

This adorable beach cottage is very popular and perfectly located at Pirates Beach!The upstairs of the home features 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, a family room with a sleeper sofa, a breakfast nook, and a kitchen upstairs. Open concept floor plan with lots of windows and perfect for entertaining or relaxing with family and friends. In the downstairs studio, there is a bunk room,1/2 bath, and washer/dryer. There is an outside shower for rinsing after the beach. (Stairs are required for access to home, NO ELEVATOR!)

The main bathroom has been updated recently and offers a stand-alone shower. The kitchen is equipped with granite countertops, an electric stove/oven, and prep space for preparing beach picnics and family get-togethers! The home features a large fenced-in yard, perfect for you and your pet. Two blocks by foot or golf cart ride to the beach or local stores.

Nice stay

Overall the beach house was fine and price point was reasonable. Short walk to the beach, or you can drive down and park or utilize a golf cart (there is limited parking at the beach). It worked well for my little family of 4 (2 adults, 16 year old, 13 year old). Close enough to all activities in Galveston but far enough away from crowded beaches. Communication with property manager through VRBO was a little slow, but they responded during regular business hours. If something is urgent, they have a number to call for after hours (though we didn’t need to utilize it). They had boogie boards and beach toys available for our use which was nice. We brought our own small portable gas grill. Generally, for price and location, we would probably stay again.

Mom's Day Outing

Tutt Hut was great and we had a great time. Very clean and well-maintained property. Close to the beach. All the necessities were there. A little disappointed that one of the bedrooms with the second bathroom was downstairs separate from the rest of the rooms. I wasn't aware of that situation from what I gathered online. We did not use this room during our stay.

Wonderful location & cozy stay!

Tutt Hut was terrific! We enjoyed the upper deck every day and took advantage of the charcoal grill and beach wagon that was provided. The home was the perfect size for our family of four and the fenced backyard was super handy for our Son's small dog. The beach was just a short stroll away. What a great place to enjoy meals together and make special memories! The home was super clean and comfortable. We will definitely be booking again in the future. We did not use the dishwasher but all of the other appliances were in great shape and worked very well.

Amazing beach home

Our family had such and amazing vacation. We were just a short walk to the beach. Our pups had a fenced yard, which made our trip so easy. This house had great wifi which we used in our down time away from the beach. It’s also so so close to the sea wall and town and all the restaurants. We loved it

Family Vacation Success

The Tutt Hut is a great little place to stay. It is close enough to Galveston without being in all of the crazy. Our family enjoyed it as well as all of the amenities that came along with it. The neighborhood is quiet and people are so friendly. We even enjoyed a visit from the Ice Cream Truck. Would definitely recommend to anyone and we WILL be back!

Very Basic

The house itself was basic which I knew going into this. I didn’t receive our check in info and made multiple calls with no returned call, sent a text to the number they messaged from asking for info and got no answer. But when they needed license plate info, they texted frequently. Pictures are accurate. When we arrived, the floors weren’t clean. Upon opening the couch bed, we discovered dirty sheets, dead bugs under couch along with various other items. The kitchen cookware needs to be replaced. Many of the utensils were well past worn. The beds were about what you would expect. The carpets are damp and gross feeling due to being repeatedly wet and inadequate air circulation. The a/c stopped working at one point, but we were able to fix it by replacing batteries in the thermostat. Another unanswered phone call only to finally be returned much after we resolved the issue. All in all, it was just fair. Nothing we will return to. Communications could improve for sure.

Great Galveston Cottage

Tutt Hut was a perfect property for our needs. It was clean, well appointed and close to the beach. The upstairs 2 bedrooms and pull out couch fit our family of four perfectly. Appreciated the fenced yard. We would definitely book again if we make our way back to Galveston!
