The house and even more the gardens were beautiful it is cleat everything is take care of, and that the house is not an ordinary holiday home. The outside especially is so beautiful and well taken care of. The kitchen very well equiped and it is a reall living room.
The bedrooms are downstairs which is an advantage in summer.
The only downside we can think of is that the beds are quite small for big dutch people
We had an amazing time at this gorgeous cottage! There was a group of 6 of us who all fit in comfortably (using the sofa beds upstairs aswell) and we absolutely loved the days we spent, relaxing by the pool, reading in the rose garde, eating etc. The cottage was everything and more than we expected, kept immaculately clean, and containing anything you could want for a holiday - from books and dvds, to some ball games and even a cheeky bottle of Limoncello in the cupboard! We went into Cortona which was beautiful (a short bus ride away) and on one day went down to Rome aswell - about 2 hours by train. The local village is very friendly and welcoming to visitors, and the surrounding countryside is stunning. Really couldn't recommend enough.
We have been holidaying here for over ten years and in that time have seen the cottage develop and expand into one of the best holiday homes we have experienced. Our latest vist in early June was really the best week we've spent at the cottage ever!! What made it special, over and above the house and locale which were as good as ever for exploring Tuscany and Umbria, was the wide range of wildlife we saw. Scorpions were in short supply but not so the fireflies, field birds and lizards. Most days saw the appearance of a raptor in the skies which we have now marked as a short toed eagle. We also spotted a couple of buzzards fighting with the local crow population. Europe's most exotic bird, the hoopoe also made frequent visits to the garden but the most spectacular guest was an adult deer actually in the orchard. Lorenzo the pool man said they make early morning appearances quite often. Be prepared to be amazed by the cottage and its surrounding scenery of farm land and low hills, the light changes hour by hour. With Cortona on the doorstep and Camucia railway station even closer there is no end of trips out to other hill towns and cities. Our preference for car hire is Avis at Arezzo, it's right by the train station and less than 30 minutes drive to the cottage, a lot less stressful than Pisa airport but does involve a little more planning. Another option that works well is Perugia airport which gives you a fantastic first trip through the countryside. Weather, wine and wildlife. smashing. Alan and Kath
A well maintained and equipped house with a fabulous garden in an attractive, quiet location only 15 minutes drive from the lovely town of Cortona.

We are both semi retired. We love Italy and over the years feel we have been privileged to become part of the local scene. Folk have welcomed us in and it is now a home from home for us. One special family have taken care of us over the years - looking after the house, garden and pool. You will be greeted and looked after during your stay by one of the family members. We hope you will feel the same as we do about this wonderful place in Tuscany.
We loved this area because there is so much variety of scenery as well as having access to the main sight seeing areas - we are still discovering new things after 18 years! We wanted to be part of a village that had a definite community and social life around the bars and restaurants.
It is wonderful to be in a property as old as this one, feeling the history all around you. Some of the walls are 1 meter thick! (which is helpful in keeping cool in summer!) We loved its location with different views in every direction. We were not isolated but at the same time could be private.
