Casa Bacco - private house with a remarkable garden in the centre of Cortona
The stand out of this house is surely the garden, entirely fenced and for the exclusive use of our guests.
The house, spread over the first and second floor, Casa Bacco opens into the living area on the ground floor consisting of a kitchen furnished in Tuscan style equipped with all appliances, a large dining room, a sitting room with comfortable sofas, and a panoramic window overlooking the roofs of Cortona. A bathroom with a tub and a laundry room complete this floor.
The sleeping area, on the first floor, consists of three double bedrooms and a bathroom with a shower.
This is a lovely property. Plenty of room. Well equipped with everything you need. The courtyard is a beautiful place for breakfast in the morning and wine in the evening. The flowers planted in the courtyard are beautiful. Please be aware that you must be able to walk up steep hills to get to this property. Of course, pretty much anywhere you go in Cortona is a hill.
This home was outstanding from the moment we arrived. There were 6 adults and we had plenty of room to gather together. The courtyard is lovely for early morning coffee or evening wine. Close to everything that Cortona offers.
The house and garden are beautiful and cozy. The view from the den and upstairs bedrooms is absolutely breathtaking. It is very centrally located with quick access to the piazzas with shopping and dining, and it is just far enough up the hill to help you burn off all the wine and pasta calories, but not far enough up the hill to be difficult. The together in Tuscany team managing the place are very friendly and professional and made everything smooth-including getting a driver to and from the train. There is so much to see and do in this charming town that we should have stayed another week or two. I Will cheerfully return here in the future.
This home and the hostsâ service exceeded our expectations. We were traveling with four teenagers and the 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms were perfect for us. The views from the upstairs bedrooms were fantastic, and we really enjoyed hanging out on the courtyard patio with its beautiful flowers and trees. We arrived late with a very large van, but still managed to park in a lot nearby. We had a lot of luggage, which made walking to the home uphill a bit cumbersome, but doable. The hosts arranged a porter to take our bags to the car on our departure. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you to Denyse, Isabella, Federico and the rest of the staff.
Our two adult children who were studying abroad met us here with our younger two children. We had two nights in a 12 day stay in Italy. Of all our stops, this was by far our favorite. The house was like a story book. The garden was so lovely, we spent an afternoon eating and sharing a bottle of wine. We were here in November and the weather was very mild compared to Chicago winters. Most of the stores and restaurants were open with far less people. We werenât really here to see anything, we were only here to be. We rented a car and drove here from Venice. We easily parked in a free lot before we entered the town. The uphill hike was funny and an adventure for us. We did our laundry and I happily hung it from the lines out the window (no dryer). I would stay in this home if you are looking for something relaxing and authentic. It is easily walkable to everything in this enchanting town. We moved on and enjoyed the rest of our trip, but under different circumstances, my wife and I couldâve stayed much longer.
There was more than enough room for our entire family. The house was charming and well equipped.
