Had a wonderful trip. Apartment was spacious and well equipped. Location was ideal. Subway was close by. Upscale and safe neighborhood. Sometimes it got a bit noisy at night. Shower head in the master bathroom wasn't functioning right. Wifi signal was strong. Very happy and planning to come back next year.
Nice apartment. Two bathrooms and a washing machine were great for us. Met all expectations. Nice neighborhood. Host was very responsive and helpful. Would stay here again.
Apartment was great, perfect for our family of four. Carlos was accommodating and responsive.
Location was fantastic. Would highly recommend this flat!
Super convenient location with everything you need!
We loved staying at Carlos' apartment as it was superbly located and had every amenity we could think of. Communicating with Carlos was a breeze and he was very thorough. Barcelona is a gorgeous city with so much to see and do and we were able to do it all so conveniently from the apartment!
The appartment was very comfortable, quiet and close to many attractions including being 3 blocks from Sagrada Familia. Many restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Very clean appartment and very roomy. Wonderful neighbourhood. My whole family loved staying here for a week!
Great stay, easy coordination with the property manager, on a high floor with a small elevator, no issue for our group but something to know before you stay.
Would definitely stay there again!
I needed a place for a few nights in-between other reservations. Manager was quick to respond and was there at check in to go over things. It worked for what I needed.
This property offered us two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a kitchen in a great location. Carlos was a very communicative and helpful manager. The building was a typical building where locals live, but no balcony, it faced the inner yard, so a little dark most of the day. The main drawbacks were the quality of the furnishings and the cleanliness. We could not sit on the couch without the cushions sliding out from underneath us, and the coverings could have used a good wash. There was great Wifi, but no local TV. The kitchen was stocked but there wasn't a proper pan to make eggs for breakfast, so we enjoyed them boiled. The cleanliness of the bathrooms and floors could be improved, and a broom and dustpan would have been most helpful. There was a minor issue with the electricity but Carlos helped resolve this issue. There was heat available when we needed it.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but a few minor fixes and it would have been great.
We stayed 1 week in the apartment. Everything was clean and nice, and we had all we needed in the kitchen.
There is a indoor balcony in continuation of the livingroom to the south, which gives a lot of light to the room but also heating it up in the sommermonths.
The only problem was the air-condition in the bedroom, which gave us so much noise that we couldn't get any sleep. So we ended up sleeping in the living room.
There is a metro station nearby and super connections to the rest of the city.
We can really recommend this apartment. Especially if you come during winter months.
Thanks to Carlos for being a really nice host.
Great apartment in centrally located, quiet Barcelona neighborhood
We were here for nearly a month. Close to shops, a big market, a zillion restaurants and grocery stores. Large and airy with a cozy bay-window area for morning coffee. Lots of storage for clothes. AC (though we never used it). Bedroom is quiet with a good bedâvery good sleeping here.
The kitchen is well-appointed with good-sized fridge and stove/oven. Also a washer! EZ to quickly dry clothes from courtyard windows. The second bedroom is small but perfect for a child or separate nap time. Nice to have the second bathroom as well.
On the 3rd floor (which is really the 6th floor) but there is a tiny elevator that works 95% of the time. If it goes out, it is quickly fixed.
Carlos was very easy to work with. Again, you canât beat the neighborhood. Metro 2 blocks away and cabs to hail right in front of the apartment.
Apartment is in a great area. Walking distance to La Sagrada Familia.Metro and buses close by. Apartment itself is in need of much attention. Living room furniture is old, uncomfortable and covered up by cheap furniture throws. "Patio" furniture is old, shaky and uncomfortable . Window coverings on the patio are filthy, threadbare and tattered. Dining room chairs have the padding coming out of all the cushions and have been covered up with cheap cushions. Air conditioner in the main bedroom doesn't work, main bathroom glass shower door doesn't fit, leaks, needs replacing. Cracked and chipped dishes in the kitchen. Three frying pans are in absolutely disgraceful condition and need to be thrown out and replaced. Second shower room is so small it's almost useless, we refused to use the shower it is so cramped. Second bedroom is very small and has only one single bed in it (not two as shown in the pictures), we used it just for storing suitcases etc. as there's just the two of us. A family with children would have difficulty. It could be a wonderful apartment if the owner(s) paid attention to it. Carlos, the manager, is superb. All our dealings with him were first class, and he's a really nice man too. We don't think he is the owner though. We're sure if he were this place would be way better. Pictures on the listing are very flattering to say the least. Having said all that, Barcelona is wonderful and we had a great time there. The apartment area is great, good grocery stores around the corner (we recommend the organic one). Good restaurants nearby. Highly recommend the Ferrum Restaurant (reservations are a good idea) just down Carrer de Corsega, 10 minute walk from the apartment.
The apartment was very convenient to local stores, restaurants and train stations. Carlos was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The furniture in the apartment is very dated. The smaller bedroom really has no place to unpack your clothes. It would have been nice to have a place to unpack your stuff. Overall it was a great stay.
Just a 10 min walk to Sagrada Familia or Casa BatllĂł, very spacious apartment equipped with a washer, stove, fridge, bathtub and shower. Host met us at the place and provided us with all information in a binder on how to use items/where to go. Overall great experience and would stay again if returning.
My husband, two teenage sons, and I had a lovely stay here! The apartment is in a great central location and the building manager was so helpful every step of the way.
We loved the apartment. Great neighborhood and Carlos host was awesome. He met us at the apartment and gave us vital suggestions like cab services, nearby stores and metro station. Supermarket close by. Would most definitely stay again. đ
It had all we needed to be functional during our stay. Manager was great and apartment really accommodated us well. Everything worked in the apartment, we did not have any breakdowns
This property was almost perfect for my husband and I, our daughter and granddaughter. Re the check-in-our daughter's flight was delayed, which caused her and us to miss the check-in deadline, so we were charged a penalty (which we knew before hand). What with having to send passport, flight info, etc. and call from the airport upon arrival, I felt it was a fairly complicated check-in.
In addition to going over all of the apartment amenities and rules, Carlos also made a very nice booklet of restaurants to sample, which we used to good advantage.
There were a few cons- one was the lack of air conditioning in the tiny second bedroom. It had some shelves that could not hold a suitcase - no closet - and a huge window into the apartment well. which when opened, carried all of the apartment dweller's conversations up to the room. Two beds filled this room, which was really only big enough to have had one bed. It was fine for my daughter and granddaughter to snuggle in and visit and dress out of luggage laid out in the hall and in the second bathroom, but would not have been OK for my son-in-law, who would have wanted room for his luggage and to dress in this second bedroom.- and to not have to keep the door open in order to keep the room cool.
The ensuite bathroom has a treacherous tub, with no grab bars or mat, and the step-in and out was perilous. The queen bed filled the masterbed room with so little room on the sides that my husband immediately injured his toe on the frame, trying to hug the wall, getting to the bathroom.
We were asked to turn off the air conditioning during the day, which was a mistake, as the one day we did, it took a whole evening and overnight for the apartment to cool down!
The elevator did not work one day, which meant a six flight hike down the steps. The super fixed it before we came back, as we had been given his phone number, thanks to Carlos.
We enjoyed being able to eat breakfast and a couple of light dinners and evening snacks, and to fix a picnic for our Montserrat excursion in the well-equipped kitchen. Having a wash machine and a rack to hang clothes as well as lines outside the window was a real plus during the super hot month of August.
Best of all, after the crowds of the day, we so appreciated returning to good neighborhood restaurants and a quiet, cool place to recuperate.
The TV was too complicated to use. We streamed on our smart phones.
I am an architect with 20 years of experience renting my property and friends in the most central location of Barcelona. Besides I occupy my free time in alternative activities such as yoga or tai chi, to enjoy the outdoors and long trips, I get quite conscience and experience what a good service and hospitality of a private apartment, like I want each of my guests enjoy the most authentic of Barcelona.
A large interior AC apartment located next one of the most beautiful avenues of the city, like is Paseo San Juan, as also in one of the most traditional district of the city "Gracia" and yet close to the noisy and fun Historic city and Las Ramblas, that is to say centrally located and isolated from noise, as well as very short distance of the main main monument of the city, Sagrada Familia church, as also shops, bars and restaurants around.
A renovated interior apartment in a modernist first XX century building in a safe and central neighbournd next the beautiful Paseo Sant Juan Avenue, the funny Gracia neighbournd and with easy access to many places, by foot or car.
