Excellent place to stay!

Close to the beach with east beach access. Great for family gatherings. Nice big dining table and plenty of seating in the living room to watch a movie. Beautiful covered front porch and fun hammock to lay in. Huge master with huge bath. Beds are comfortable, lines supplied but bring sofa blanket if you like them. Good parking. If we come back to IOP I will rent this place again.

2 minute walk to the beach. 15 minutes to get to downtown Charleston. Great house for a big family.

Had a great stay for a long weekend

Our adult family had a very enjoyable stay!!! First floor living area is very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was updated and so impressive! Master bedroom was huge as was the en-suite master bathroom. Very walkable to get to the beach. There were some bicycles in the garage which some of us enjoyed riding to the village. Would definitely consider renting this house again.

Great vacation house!

Location, location, location! This was the ideal location for an amazing price. The house was wonderful for a big group. One of the closets had mildew on the ceiling, maintenance came the next day to remove it. We were very happy with the property managers for making sure that got handled so quickly. Things we wish the property provided: beach towels and laundry detergent or pods. Overall we would definitely book again and recommend this property to others!

Reviewer Comments: We were moved to this location after checking in to a beach front home that wasn’t good. For us, that was the one thing lacking at this house - being beach front. But otherwise, it’s a comfortable home with everything we needed. And it’s in the less busy area of IOP. It was quiet and peaceful when we were there but I could see it being noisy with pools at the homes on each side (one pool is in front of the neighboring house and that’s where the porch is for this house). The street was quiet with lots of bikers, walkers and golf carts. The beach access for this home is close by, but the beach has changed a lot since our last visit a few years ago due to erosion. Some of the other nearby beach access points were closed so more people were funneling through the closest access to this house. Maybe IOP is working on this? It’s about a 5 foot drop off with an area where you can scramble down to the beach.

Pleasant stay on Isle of Palms

Good location for the tennis open, walk to beach and Charleston. House was large and bright, with comfortable beds. Some basic amenities could be improved - hangars, hair dryers, bath supplies, kitchen basics.

There were not a lot of dhishes for cooking but we were able to make do with what was there. I did have to pay for a refill on the propane tank of the gas grill because I went to cook and steaks and the tank was empty. Over all, the house was spacious and well kept, the area is beautiful and the closest beach access was well within walking distance.

Wonderful House

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We rented this house and 209 next door for our fall break trip with 5 different families. We could not have asked for a better house! We have been coming to IOP for 20 years and it never disappoints! There was plenty of room for everyone, lovely neighborhood, comfy beds, great porch where we spent a big portion of our time. Pool looked nice but we were unable to use it due to debris from the hurricane. (We were originally told the pool company would come clean it out soon, but after calling back after 3 days we were told the normal cleaning day was Friday, we were leaving in Thursday). The beach was just a short walk away. We only had a couple minor complaints, nothing that would prevent us from returning but it would make a guest stay much better, and that is1. Cleaning supplies. There is a tiny (almost child size) broom that is completely wore out, preventing us from sweeping up the sand.2. We pulled out the vacuum cleaner be sure with 10 people in the house the floors were getting rough, it smelled so bad we were all gagging. The filter needs changing and the vacuum needs a good cleaning. 3. There wasn’t any type of cleaning supplies, we like to keep our space clean so a multipurpose cleaner would have been helpful. A gas grill would be nice, and also, there should be a sign on the washer saying not to use laundry pods, they collect in the rubber seal and do not dissolve. None of that is a deal breaker, we would happily rent the house again but just thought the owners might like some feedback on what would make their guests trip a little better or let guests know what they can bring! We are already planning our trip for next year, thanks so much for providing such a lovely home away from home!

Beach week vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location is great. Easy access to the beach. The layout is great for a family. We had a wonderful week. Some things to be aware of:.The bottom stair at the entry stair case is a trip hazard. It is bowed up and we constantly reminded people to be careful on the stairs. There is no sleep sofa, as advertised. An air mattress is provided. This meant that the room was not in use as a sitting room, as there was no room, and we didn’t want to deflate and inflate the air mattress every day. The coffee table and chairs had to be moved into the living room for the week, to allow room in the den for the air mattress. If you rent or bring a golf cart, there is no outlet outside to charge it. I was originally told that there should be an outlet in the garage. I called, again, to confirm, well ahead of our arrival and was told that there was an outlet, upstairs, on the porch that could be used to charge the cart. Neither outlet on the porch was in working order. The cord had to be run from the inside living area down to the golf cart. If you are using an LSV or golf cart, you will need an extra long cord to charge it. Maintenance was very responsive when we called in a running toilet with broken flapper. All in all, we would rent this home again.

Great house - could use a little refining

Great location, nice porch and plenty of space to gather. It could use a couple upgrades. Comforters should have duvet covers; sheets and towels could be nicer; the kitchen had one (!) dish towel and no normal necessities such as tin foil; having a couple usable bicycles on hand would just elevate the experience.It was also frustrating to have a gas grill - but no propane. That should have been checked before we checked in. When we went to use the grill for our dinner, we discovered there was no propane and the rental company did not respond to our request for propane until the next day. That was frustrating.

A Great Get-Away Retreat

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property was as described.We had 8 ladies who rented this property and overall we throughly enjoyed our experience. It was clean and great location. We walked to Sea Biscuit for brunch both days and Boathouse and Acme. We did have a plumbing issue with the master commode, but IR responded promptly and the issue was resolved with Roto Rooter coming out.This was an issue that must have been from prior tenants because after Roto Rooter came out it worked better than even before the clog issue.Ceiling below needs to be examined where water leaked through. We also had an ant (large red ones)issue which they came and sprayed as soon as we notified them.We had read a review that the sofa bed wasn't usable.We needed the sofa bed so I contacted management and they made sure it was fixed or replaced.That couldn't be done,but they purchased a new high end blowup mattress and that worked great. I would definitely recommend this property and will probably rent it again myself. One thing I would mention, the stairs are quite steep outside and also leading upstairs.The one's leading upstairs are also kinda slick.We were fine with this was only mentioning incase someone in your party would have an issue with this and would maybe want to look with a property with an elevator.

Beautiful house for a wonderful week

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The rental experience was very smooth and almost effortless. I don't understand the policy to arrive at the office between a narrow set of hours. I've rented from a number of other companies that don't require renters to show up in person at a narrow prescribed time. The house was in great shape, but needed some obvious touch ups to paint, drawers/cabinets that don't close smoothly, and shower heads that spray well. The underhouse storage area also needed a hose down. The wifi was very slow according to 2022 standards, and would not be adequate for remote work these days (forget about Zoom calls). Aside from that nitpicking, we had a great stay and loved the house and location.

2021 November and December beach getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Nice house, great location. Upon arrival there were a few maintenance problems that were handled promptly. Also had a roach and ant problem that was reported to the management company and the response was this is a tropical climate. There is a difference between tropical climate and pest control problem. Finally, after about four weeks they scheduled a pest control company to come out and spray. They sprayed and immediately scheduled a follow up visit within two weeks. The problem was better but was not completely resolved and the company planned to come back after our time was up. Hopefully the next vacationers don't have the same problem. Would have been nice if management had taken action sooner.

Labor Day weekend fun

Reviewer Comments: Great location, short walk to beach and also to the Boathouse inlet to dolphin watch. Interior had lots of windows and great light. Good floorplan down and upstairs. Kitchen was big and open with lovely cabinets and countertops but most of the cupboards were empty or poorly organized. Not enough kitchen accessories, bowls, etc. Needs new coffeemaker and the icemaker barely kicked any out. Sheets on downstairs queen did not fit as they were too shallow for the deep queen. Sleeper sofa also needs repair/replace as the frame is slanted. That said our 3 families had a great visit.
