This gorgeous three-bedroom oceanside home away from home is ready and waiting for you! Located in Avon only three lots back from the beach, Ocean Haus is a full glass prow front home that offers you great views of the ocean from the large furnished sun decks with screened porch. Sit outside breathing in that fresh ocean air as you wait for some delicious seafood to be grilled up on the charcoal grill. Rise up early in the morning in time to catch a beautiful sunrise, the perfect start to your day!

Indoors, you'll find comfortable furnishings in the spacious great room with cathedral ceilings. The kitchen with a breakfast bar will give you a place to grab a snack and catch up on the day's events. The three bedrooms offer you restful sleeping accommodations with two queen beds and a pyramid bed, with an additional queen sofa bed available for extra sleep options. Two TVs, a DVD player, and a stereo/CD player will offer fun indoor entertainment if you can tear yourself away from the beach! If you want a break from the beach, enjoy easy access to the OBR community pool.

This home includes a convenient storage area for stowing away all of your extra beach equipment and vacation items and covered under house parking as well. Great views, close to the beach

Overall, with the views and proximity to the beach this is an ideal house. The best parts of the amenities were tons of books, games and puzzles. We used a smaller table in the living room to spend time over coffee each morning working on a puzzle. After dinner and a walk on the beach we used the deck or played a game inside. Truthfully, this house is “dated” and the fridge needed extra help when closing and sealing the door. The kitchen has most items you might need but if you want to make pasta, you’ll need a larger pot and if you like to do crock pot meals while at the beach you need to bring your own crock pot. If you have teens that require high speed internet, do not choose this house. There is a connection but it is slow compared to most modern needs. It’s hard to complain when you’re at the beach in a beautiful location but I would have liked to have known these things before deciding on a beach stay.

Fishing trip

We stayed in this house during a fishing trip, it was well suited for our needs. Could have some updating and minor stuff fixed but overall was good for what we wanted

Amazing Vacation

This house had a great location to the beach. The boardwalk was located right across the street. It had a beautiful view of the ocean and a nice screened in porch. It is a very large house with an open floor plan. My husband and I will be booking this same house next time we visit the Outer Banks. We also really loved the community, Avon. All of the locals we visited with were very friendly, it is a clean town with everything you need, and we were able to visit all of the beaches, from Duck to Hatteras, due to its proximity. My only complaint is that it advertises a charcoal grill but the grill is for owner use only.

Ocean Haus

We had a great time on our vacation. The property was exactly what we expected. The only negative note I have is that the refrigerator door doesn't close properly. You may want to have maintenance take a look at it. Or the properly owner may want to consider upgrading to a newer model.

Cleanliness

Furniture is very dirty , dishwasher not working correctly it beeped the whole time we were there, parking was not good if neighbor had a second car we could not get in. Rugs and floors were gritty and dirty. Appliances are not in good shape, refrig door does not close and shelves are rusted in both fridge and freezer , toaster was temperamental as well as toaster oven.

Highly Recommend

This is a place we would highly recommend to anyone that would ask not to mention, we would stay at again. Great location, clean, and great service by the owner of the property. Finding a great place to eat was a bit challenging, that said, on our last night we found a great place to eat...and we would highly recommend it, it was called the Cockeyed Clam...off the beaten path in Buxton, but, food was excellent, we got what we paid for...

Great stay in Avon!

Lots of space in this ocean view home! 3 good sized bedrooms…large open floor plan kitchen/dining area/ TV room. Great screened in porch area on deck with ocean view in the distance….close to restaurants, shopping, and grocery store.

We have had 2-week stays in Ocean Haus for 19 consecutive years. It is a cheery looking cottage with good ocean views and a screened porch that is perfect for outdoor meals. We love Sailfish Lane and the fantastic dunes and wide beach there. We love Ocean Haus for many reasons and will continue to stay there next year. Lovely home

Ocean Haus has a very nice main level. Pretty furniture and the kitchen is the best supplied with necessities and extras of any Hatteras home we've rented. Two of the bedrooms are quite spacious. Third is adequate. Outdoor shower is large.

Fantastic - Never going to a hotel again!

This experience was my first time renting a house through VRBO. Based on the experience, I will never use a hotel again. Everything was perfect, and exactly as described. The house was located in a great spot was clean and welcoming. One of my best vacations ever as a result. 10 stars out of 5 for all of us! Woot!

Nothing fancy but gets the job done

We enjoyed our stay here. Ocean views were better than expected from the pictures. The house could use some updating but has everything you need. There is plenty of room to spread out and an abundance of deck space.

The house was the best house out of the ten others we stayed in. The little touches of the platinum, two really nice bath towels for all guests, the wicker bag with goodies inside to the two ` to go ` cups was a really really nice touch. You definitely stand out above other OBX realities. Again thank you for all those special touches! We will be looking to rent a house by Outerbeaches again! This house was incredible. The attention to small detail , molding, decor, the stocked kitchen with multiple dishwashers oven, garbage pails, cups all matching dishes for 20 plus all matching! Weather was cold and rainy, and yet we had a wonderful time just being together as a family. Milesaway 144 felt like home, even though we really were 500 miles away! Milesaway 144 was spacious, beautiful, immaculately clean, and kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. It was like being at home!
